Amazing! Service was excellent– like above and beyond attentive. Mushroom cap and pesto fettuccini dishes were both vegetarian friendly and amazing. Fried green tomato app was pretty much what you’d expect. The dinner rolls were crazy fresh and dipping them into delicious pesto was a great surprise. This fancy little place is a gem :)

I came here with my wife and in laws because we had a groupon. We were visiting from Chicago and wanted to eat at a sit down restaurant for one of our last meals. I’ll cut down to the chase. * The steak was over seasoned * I ordered medium well and received almost rare. * The décor is rather tacky, almost like they are trying way to hard to be «upscale» * The sides were rather bland as well. The mashed potatoes were from the box and the green beans from a can.
Overall I would never come here if it weren’t for the Groupon. Very nice staff but the food should speak for itself.

Very good food and service. They were able to work with my crazy diet and give me a delicious meal. We sat at a booth where the light was a little low for me, but appropriate, given the décor and type of restaurant. Will be sure to return.

Such a relief from the chain McRestaurants and Pancake houses of nearby Pigeon Forge. Relaxing ambiance and attentive service. Even unobtrusive background music. Just stopped for a quick bite mid-afternoon. Shared the cheese, fruit and olive appetizer along with the Caesar Wrap. Both were yummy and the side of sweet potato fries ordered with the wrap were the best I ever had. Delivered hot and crispy. We live in East Tennessee so will definitely be going back. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often and try some of their other items. I also thought their pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Stop! Do not try! We stopped on a weekday and tried the mushroom cap and hamburger and fries. Wife said cap was ok but the hamburger was a frozen patty and the fries were soaked in something that left them soggy. I took one bite of burger instantly realizing what I was getting into. Waitress just said I dont eat much. No, not when I pay for a frozen burger and soggy fries Don’t make our mistake

We had dinner here for my bachelorette party. Everything we tried was delicious. It was a nice dinner for a decent price. If we weren’t from out of town, I’d be coming back often.

The fella and I were staying in Pigeon Forge during — unbeknownst to us — Rod Run. It was so packed that it took us two hours to get from Gatlinburg to PF. Knowing that, we wanted to get the heck outta town for dinner, and Unilocal led us to Bistro 109. It seems so out of place since it’s very classy, quiet, and quaint! We made reservations on Open Table, and a man was playing piano when we arrived; good thing since it was pretty quiet in there. I appreciated that it had a great atmosphere, and we didn’t feel out of place in shorts and sneakers. We sat in the front room, and there appeared to be a large room in the back. Our waiter was nice but had only worked there a week and a half, and he was completely overwhelmed by the 2 – 3 tables he was covering, which I know because he complained to us about it. Argh. That’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5; his service was sloooow, and I didn’t want to hear about his problems. For dinner, he talked me out of the grilled citrus chicken, so I went with the scallops. They were on a blueberry reduction, which was surprisingly delicious, and the couscous that came with it was so light and fluffy. The squash and zucchini were just okay. The fella got the trout stuffed with blue crab, couscous, and green beans. The green beans were like my nana used to make — cooked in fatback with onions… mmmmm — and he really liked the fish. Bistro 109 is a great option for those of you who’re tired of chain restaurants, fast food, and dinners with a show in Pigeon Forge.

Service was quick, despite being a Saturday afternoon and one of the busiest weekends in The area. Food was sub-par. Creative menu but the burger was boring and of the seemingly frozen variety. Appetizer was good– spinach dip and homemade chips. But it seems like they are trying too hard.

Absolutely phenomenal. Without a doubt the best restaurant in the county. Service is prompt, professional and clean. The food is exquisite and the ambiance is unlike any other spot in town. Highly recommended. I’ve gone for years and I’ve never been disappointed.

4 stars strictly based on the taste of the food. The filet was the most amazing cut of meat I’ve ever had — tender, melt in your mouth, absolutely delicious. And I’ve been to some renowned steak houses. Cheese grits and asparagus were tasty as well. Husbands ribeye was amazing too — not fatty, tender, and incredibly tasty. It would be great if this little restaurant would read these reviews and take heed to constructive criticism because it really does have a lot of potential. FOODPRESENTATION– needs a lot of work. It’s a nice restaurant therefore you go to these kinds of places with certain expectations. My food from Johnny Rockets came out nicer and presented better than Bistro 109. I can look past these things of course. SERVICE — absolutely inattentive. We had to ask for everything… from bread to every drink refill. And, to top it off, we WERE the only people in the restaurant(it’s pretty small). The food was their redeemer for sure… simply amazing! This place could really prosper if management paid closer attention to some minor details that really encompass an elegant dining experience.

Very good food. My husband eats more than he should but all the better to taste a variety of items. My favorite; the organic filet and Atlantic salmon. The salads were good and the fettuccini was wonderful. We are very picky eaters and this was a perfect place. Only improvements I would recommend to the owner is to have the bread come out warm and make sure the mash potatoes are hot. Our server was very knowledgeable and very attentive. Would recommend to anyone I know.

We came here for lunch on our way to the tourist area and I really wanted to like the food because the waitress was so nice and friendly but it was ehh. I ordered: Mushroom cap — the mushroom was raw and the toppings didn’t give the raw taste a kick; raw mushrooms only taste good sliced in salads. Consuming a huge raw portobella mushroom is not appetizing. Vegetable pot pie — the best part of a pot pie is the flaky crust but this one didn’t have any! The waitress described it sounding so unique so I figured to give it a shot. Flamed roasted fuji apples — basically baked sugar and cinnamon apples. I was hoping for a nice charred top but there wasn’t. The steak portion was huge and they were very willing to cook it exactly to your temperature of choice.

I’ve used Unilocal for years and for the most part 4 stars and your In good shape. Well 109 Bistro was my first Unilocal failure. I tried to find one thing that went right, but not this night at this place I’ll keep it brief. No I can’t Surf and turf isn’t a 2 cold cocktail shrimp and two scallops that are size of cherry tomatoes Filet option of 12 oz is not supposed to be two 6 oz Pieces My son is allergic to Gluten and I know food especially gluten free pasta. What was served wasn’t gluten free. I asked twice and was re assured it had to be since the sever said so We didn’t eat it. Salmon is safe? Well done salmon is terrible Fresh Mixed veggie side. Was defiantly frozen. All exactly the same size. Hard to do In the garden. Couscous need some kind of moisture anything anything. And blueberry sauce on pan seared scallops(fail). No sear at all. How did I know we where going to have a problem. The server doesn’t eat the food at the restaurant !! After a 5 min talk about how glen levit 12 wasn’t scotch the bottle said whisky It was Saturday night. Clearly the A team should have been on I won’t insult the people that live in and around this place. Something must have happened here. 6 tables around us all on group on. Saturday Night 7pm Ok my last comment. And I quote«would you like our mystery wine choice, you pick red or white and you could get a great top shelf wine or something not so good«. Uhmm? Pause, I think I’ll pass. I’ve owned a restaurant and I know how much these reviews hurt. This is one that they should take seriously and make some changes.

Wanted a nice dinner at an off the beaten path restaurant and found this place on Unilocal and really enjoyed our evening. We got the sundried tomato pasta, the chicken parmesan, and a rather unique dish, the caramel pecan chicken. All of our meals were well portioned and tasted wonderful. The vegetables that came with the caramel chicken were a bit bland, but that was our only complaint about the food. The atmosphere and service were as wonderful as the food. This is certainly a place we will return.

Went to Bistro 109, and if you go there get Mr. Alex Kent. He is the sweetest, and completely focused on and your needs as a customer. The steak and lemon chicken was cooked to perfection! All of the food was delicious and the atmosphere was so sweet and romantic! Coming next here and seeing Alex would be a wise decision!

My family of four had a wonderful meal last night. My daughter’s had the small plate servings of pesto pasta and sun dried tomato pasta and they were exceptionally good! The pasta was fresh! The sauce creamy and delicious, with fresh baby spinach encorporated nicely, and topped with fresh grated parmasan. The serving size was perfect! My husband raved about his pecan crusted chicken. It was tender, juicy and drizzled with a delightfully sweet sauce. I’m withholding the fifth star because my crabcakes were good but not spectacular, lacking the promised lumps and the menu is a bit confusing regarding which entrees do or don’t come with sides. However, if I come back to the area I would definitely eat here again!

We’re spending a few days camping in the Smokies and didn’t want to cook so we decided to find local place that wasn’t Chili’s, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc. Unilocal pointed us to this place and we weren’t disappointed. I had the pepper crysted Tuna while my wife Had Atlantic scallops in a blueberry lemon reduction. Both were excellent and expertly prepared. The house salad was tasty wth a honey mustard dressing but the dinner rolls were unremarkable; like they were from a package. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet; linen tablecloths and napkins, but informal and friendly. The place was empty when we visited on a Monday night and were able to park on the street immediately out front. It’s probably not this way on any other night. If you’re looking for something off the beaten tourist path; this is the place.

My husband and I were in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for a mini-vacation and wanted to get away from the never ending pancake houses and greasy diner joints scattered throughout the area. We jumped on Trip Advisor and Unilocal, seeking an alternative restaurant for dinner and discovered Bistro 109. It did not disappoint. We made an online reservation(which turned out to be unnecessary as it was 7:30 on a Tuesday), and were promptly seated when we arrived. The wine selection was plentiful, as were the available appetizers and entrees. I highly recommend the goat cheese as a starter(very creamy and tart!) and the crab cakes. If I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to come back — I just wish this time around we had found Bistro 109 a few days earlier.

I was staying in Kodak and had spent the day exploring the Smokies. I wanted to eat someplace that wasn’t a chain restaurant or as cheesy and touristy as the ones I’d seen on my way back in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Unilocal lead me here and I’m glad it did. First off, my waiter(Michael, I believe) was outstanding. He didn’t bat an eye at my disheveled appearance — I was in a t-shirt, muddy jeans, and a muddy sneakers(from my hike) which did feel a bit out of place in this nice, tastefully decorated place, especially on a Saturday night. Michael was friendly and prompt, checking on me just the right number of times. I overheard some of the other wait staff tending to their table and know I lucked out; Mike is definitely the best of the bunch by far. Food was above average, and worth returning for. I did find the starter rolls a bit too sweet, especially served with the pesto and olive oil. The fried green tomato app was delicious. Note: the menu says«tomato chutney» which really is more«capers and under-ripe red tomato», but it is all served on a bed of nice mixed greens(spinach, baby chard, that kind of thing) and makes for a scruptious salad-y start. For an entrée I went for the crab-stuffed rainbow trout which, alas, sounded better than it was. No major complaints, it just wasn’t as tasty as I was hoping. I’m also pretty sure it was supposed to come with a sauce that was absent, now that I think about it. Perhaps that would have improved the dish. I definitely appreciate their option for smaller plates. The smaller serving of fish coupled with the app was just the right amount of food for me. My only other complaint is that they have no red wine by the glass that they suggest pairing with the fish. I had a Malbec instead which was quite nice, but if you’re going to suggest pairings, maybe have a glass available for each dish? I certainly didn’t want to buy a bottle when I was eating alone. Regardless, should I find myself in the area again I will return — and definitely ask for Michael.
