Golden Corral

My family and I try to drive up to the area as often as possible to make use of our Dollywood passes. Every time we leave, we try to find something different to eat that we all like. With 2 vegetarians, and 2 picky eaters out of family of 5, this is a hard chore. Sometimes, its just easier to give into the kids and pick a large buffet that we know will have something for all. The food was good enough, pretty standard by GC standards. It was about what we expected. However, the customer service was above and beyond anything we have ever had at any buffet. My oldest daughter and I are both vegetarians. She was curious about some ravioli on the bar, and asked a lady behind the bar if it was meat or cheese (we eat dairy). The lady said she wasn’t sure, but would check. Minutes later, the manager walked out to our table with the ingredient list for the ravioli. He asked me if there was anything specific we were trying to avoid. When I told him meat, he check the ravioli, then proceeded to go through everything on the bar that had meat, and didn’t for us. Let me tell you, that was a first. I’ve never had anyone take that much time for us at a place like this. He was amazing. I wish I could remember his name, because he deserves recognition for doing that in a class of restaurants that isn’t know for such great customer service. On top of that, our waitress was on it from the moment we got there. In fact, she almost cleared the plates too fast! When we were done with sometime, she was clearing and cleaning. We never had to ask for a drink, not even for the younger kids, and since you can’t see though their cups, they often get left out. If your looking for a place that everyone can eat something, give this place a try. If you have any questions about the food, feel free to ask because they will actually take the time to answer.

Tried calling them see about gift cards went through a lot of BS, I never got to speak to anyone. Not happy.

$ 77 for 2 adults and 3 kids (2 of which they considered adults). The price I would not have minded since your in a tourist area anyway, however the food was atrocious. We’ve ate golden corral several times before and always pretty decent. This one however was awful. The salad was outdated (brown and slimy) and no tomatoes. You can always make cooked food look good but when a salad is bad, you know it’s bad. Then the cooked food… blah. It was so awful. Every single thing we tried was bad. Even the kiddos didn’t like the food (they did enjoy the ice cream).

It was ok. I mean, I totally felt like I was completely out of place. We will start with the front desk. One word, rude. I felt like I was cattle going into slaughter. Move’em in, move’em out! Next item… Cleanliness. Food all over the floor. Countless tables that needed bused. Bar area needed some cleaning as well. Food, nothing to write home about. Typical run of the mill precooked frozen items. Steak was way too done even when told medium. Not just once, but four times. Ice ream machine was broke for the chocolate side which meant only vanilla was available. It tasted like cleaner. Yuck! I only received one refill when I should have had about three or four considering all the ice they gave me.
There was a good thing though, it’s location. It’s at a red light so it’s easy to come and go.
In the end, I won’t be back to this location. $ 14.99 for a buffet that’s not at all clean is not what I want to experience again.

Love love love it!!! The roast is amazing as well as the mashed potatoes and brown gravy. My kids say they have the best macaroni ever at Golden Corral. My kids beg to come here when we are in the area. It’s mainly because of the chocolate tower and ice cream. I can’t lie I enjoy those too. Great service, great management, and great food!!! We’ll be back.

We felt like this was a great choice for our family of four. Beth, our waitress, was friendly and great to chat with. The food was good, with only a few selections not to our liking. Quality was good all the way around. Men’s room was clean. Don’t know about the women’s. Would come back again. Remember, this is a mid-​range buffet, not a four star restaurant. ;)

This was a decent buffet. Quality is not great but that is the usual case for buffets. I would say it was A-​OK

Again nope we ain’t open pat 10 pm. This would be a great place to put a buffet style restaurant. I love golden coral but come on 10 pm. Isn’t their no life here after 10

Typical Golden Corral! Wish I had went somewhere else! Bad choice on our end.

They have well prepared and many tasty food selections. The staff are all friendly, professional and smiling. The kids loved the Chocolate Wonderfall.

Stooped here on the way home from Dollywood. Happened in on Prime rib promo so it was more expensive than expected. It was clean & had a good variety of foods.
We had chicken, popcorn shrimp, pot roast & honey sesame chicken for our mains. They were all good. The mashed potatoes & brown gravy were very good. The ranch salad dressing tasted bad, like it was watered down.
All in all it was pretty good. Much better than the expensive food we’ve had at Dollywood.

Prices are very reasonable. We were here for the Sunday Brunch. I don’t think anything was bad, most of delicious and some average.
I especially liked their meatloaf! I couldn’t have done any better. Large variety of foods, from meat & potatoes, to Asian, to Mexican. Nice salad bar. Deserts were the only disappointment, but I feel the main course buffet more than makes up for the «not worth the calories» desserts.
