Lucky for me, I happened upon this absolutely wonderful place while searching the internet for dog friendly cabins in the Sevierville area. The prices were very affordable and words cannot describe how pleasant and tranquil this little part of the world is(but only a short 5 minute drive to the«main parkway»). This is without a doubt one of the cleanest places I have ever rented and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A surprise was a welcome sign upon our arrival at the cabin and delicious homemade brownies on the kitchen table. I could have stayed at the pond for hours just listening to «nature» and forgetting about the daily stresses of «life». A truly remarkable weekend that we thoroughly enjoyed and we will definitely be back!

I rarely return to the same place for vacation, and the whole Gatlinburg/Sevierville family/religious craziness isn’t exactly my scene, but this resort is a GEM. It is tucked back from the main road and there are only 6 cabins on 82 acres. Talk about privacy! The owners built the cabins themselves and they are great hosts who leave brownies in your cabin :). We have stayed in the Briar Ridge cabin twice now and the fireplace, view of the river, and the hot tub are wonderful. The place is so homey yet beautiful — I could totally live there. To top it off, they allow pets for no fee(with prior approval) which is unheard of in this area. While you cannot reserve the cabins online, you just give them a call to reserve a room and then send a check with one night’s deposit and they will mail you a letter confirming your reservation. The area is quite peaceful and is a great place to relax. There are horse riding stables and a country grocery store within 5 minutes of the cabin. Next time I plan to just stay in the cabin and not do a thing! And to top it off, the prices are reasonable. It is the little touches that count here. The kitchen is stocked with basic ingredients like spices and oil so you can cook. There is a washing machine and dryer and often there is leftover detergent to use. There is a dog towel hanging near the front door so you can wipe off the dog’s feet. It’s definitely a convenient and charming cabin and it’s only 15 minutes or so to Gatlinburg.
