This was a decent midway between Louisville and Indianapolis on I-65 on a late night. The price is naturally cheap, you’ve got a gas station and a most un-Waffle Housey looking Waffle House near you, and most importantly you’ve got a decently kept-up room in an interior setting. Individual wall thermostats control the temps, and they did a pretty solid job. The bed was good, and even better I had a fridge and microwave in the room. I’ve stayed at both this Motel 6 as well as the Motel 6 in Columbus a bit further up the road, but this one would be my pick for someone looking for the basics one night.

I felt the exact opposite of michelleA’s review. Was surprised at the size & stark silence of the room-there is a legit kitchenette area distinct from the bedroom, and it’s on a dead end street away from everything. Total silence. Was clean, neat, simple. Very basic, shabbyish building interior/carpet but everything important was clean and functioned like it should; no weird smells or funks. Desk guy was very friendly/welcoming at midnight. For $ 45 I have no complaints.

Since new ownership this place has went downhill. Was very rude when checking in. Walls were paper thin. Heard traffic, neighbors, and a dog barking all night. The room was extremely tiny but clean. Did not feel very safe here. Would recommend a different hotel!

Was on my way across country from Washington to North Carolina, and having drove til 3 am in the morning, I was glad I found the Motel 6. It looks like they have remodeled, and the rooms are very cozy for the price. I feel like they could have charged more then $ 39.99 for a night. Definitely a bargain stay on my trip. I would visit other Motel 6 for the price and cleanness that I did not expect.
