The replacement mattress failed. What a surprise, now I get to deal with their wonderful customer service department again… I wonder how long it will take this time… It’s bad enough feeling like you’ve been ripped off but then you have to accommodate their schedule. Plus I’ll have to pay an additional charge to buy a different kind of mattress plus delivery fees. I went to the Shakopee location to try to talk to someone about what mattress would be a good up grade but once Jim seen me he went to both sales people and talked to them(most likely about the last encounter I had with him when he was so incredibly rude to me) so no one bothered to try to help me so I walked out. Once(IF) this issue has been resolved I will never deal with them again. I haven’t purchased anything from them since 2014 when I bought the original mattress. We’re purchasing a new house in the spring and need to buy new furniture, we won’t be buying from Furniture Mart!

Just drive down from South Minneapolis to buy a bedroom set and possibly a dining room set. We walked through the entire store, browsing. We walked through a group of three sales ladies, all talking politics. No one asked us if we needed help or if we could use assistance of any kind — even when they moved away from their chat to let us by. That was by the sales/service counter area. Sorry, but this purchase is significant for us, and we’re not going to ask anyone if we can have some of their service or if we can spend or money with them. Our desired brand(s) are sold at several locations, including buying direct. We may be back, but for rugs/accessories once our home is furnished.

Bad customer service. Once sale is made, they aren’t helpful if things arrive incorrect. Had to place several phone calls with promises of calls back and no follow through. Finally got what we needed 3 months later, but not treated well at all in the process.

Their stuff is great, pieces are beautiful and prices are great but their staff is arrogant as#$@les. I have personally worked with 3 different ones. The last shipment I got the boxes were shredded! The order was wrong and the sales men told me basically I was crazy cause that’s what I ordered! I love their furniture and love the pieces I have but will never shop there again. Also there delivery guys left their shoes on in my 3 week old house. Pissed was an understatement!

On the recommendation of my boss– who got furniture for his entire house at this place– I drove down with a friend one evening to check it out. I was in the market for a bed, a couch, and potentially a bedroom set, and had heard that The Furniture Mart had great prices. In-DEED. Their mattresses were completely reasonable– in the $ 500-$ 899 range, instead of the $ 800+ range of Hom Furniture and Slumberland. Plus, their mattresses were all relatively local(South Dakota or St. Paul-made), and their salespeople didn’t push or hover. Their furniture is also really fairly priced. My mom found a couch that was exactly the same as one she had loved at Hom, but $ 200 cheaper. Sha-zam. In addition, there was a kefluffle that was promptly fixed. I was to pick up my bed at 10am with a U-Haul the day of my move, but they didn’t have my bed waiting for me as they said they would. I was pretty upset(who likes driving a damn U-Haul to Shakopee from Uptown? No one!) but the general manager was awesome and fixed the problem with zero attitude and a lot of humility. So I’ll be going here fo life. High five, guys!
