As butchers go… this place rules… what puts it over the top is the great friendly staff and he redy to eat pre cooked meats, salads, and breads.
Great flavor! put Cub deli to shame!

Von Hanson’s Meats rocks! You can get the biggest selection of meat in Shakopee here. much better than what you can get at Cub’s foods next door.
I ordered a 3-​rib standing roast and the butcher behind the counter was super friendly and showed me the entire slab of meet and asked which 3 ribs I wanted. I got 9 lbs of roast and paid $ 120 (which was pricy I admit, but it was a special Christmas dinner I was preparing for). When I got home, I realized the butcher accidentally priced it as «Boneless» Rib Roast and I was probably charged too much for it.
The roast was delicious and easy to prepare (they even gave you a little handout on how to cook the cut of meat you bought… which I thought was extremely nice and helpful!). The entire family ate it up.
The best part was that the helpful butcher actually carried the meat to your car, which was super nice.
