A little on the cramped side but otherwise not bad… but with 11 tv’s is it necessary for every channel to be on foxnews?

Very mixed bag here. If you know what to look for, this place is great. Otherwise it can ruin your night. First, sit at the bar. The bartenders tend to be great. The servers working the floor are hit or miss, but it’s not uncommon to sit for half an hour with no service. When things are good, they’re very good. When they’re bad, you’ll wish you went elsewhere. Avoid the whole mess and sit at the bar. Their burgers are pretty good. Their pizza is pretty bad. Their wings are very good, especially on Tuesday when they are on special. The highlight of this place is their beer menu. Something like 70 beers on draft. A decent amount of time, you’ll get exactly what you wanted. Sometimes you will get a pale yellow beer after ordering a stout. Often, you’ll get a beer with no carbonation at all. Many times, the beer is skunked from unclean lines. In summation, I have no idea why I gave this place 3 stars. It has a ton of potential, but it seems like nobody cares. If they actually tried, this place would be awesome.

Relaxed atmosphere with a good selection of local Florida craft beers. The burgers are delicious. I’d recommend going for lunch or if you are looking for a place to have an easy dinner.

Absolutely amazing service, if you don’t know what to get: ask the server. They are honest and have great advice. I was pregnant and craving fried pickles, and theirs were excellent(the pickles didn’t slide out of the breading like at some places). Our food was amazing, but when they say large portions: they mean it! This is also a great place to go watch sports like soccer.

Ok, as a native Midwesterner, I was happy to see 2 of my favorites on the menu: pork tenderloin sandwich and Cincinnati style chili. Not only are they on the menu but they are both nicely done. The tenderloin was huge and flavorful. The chili tasted just like Skyline. Couple that with an incredible beer selection as well as NFL Sunday Ticket and this place hits on all cylinders. This is my new Sunday haunt.

So I ran into karaōke night and the place seems to be packed with regulars. The beer selection is substantial, if you know what your looking for in a beer you’ll find it here. Ages run from late 20s to upper middle age.

Absolutely love this place. The beer selection is awesome and the food is delicious. It’s a bit tricky finding the place if you aren’t local but it’s worth it.

In town for 2 weeks for a conference… Stayed next door at the Fairfield Field Inn and this place is awesome for anyone that loves a laid back atmosphere, beer(large selection), multiple flatscreen TV’s w/sports, and a simple cheeseburger(delicious by the way). Great friendly service! Maybe it was my two weeks, but will for sure comeback! Definitely a great place to unwind with the locals…

Pretty good beer selection. We just moved from North Carolina and have become accustomed to the good stuff– SweetWater and Sam Adams are not ‘craft beer’. Anyway, we like the selection here but it’s a shame the food doesn’t match. Everything we’ve tried(wraps, fries, burgers, poboys) tastes like it came from the frozen food section of Sam’s. The people are nice, the place is clean, if the food was better/fresher it would be a good place to frequent.

So this is my third time here in two weeks. That means a lot of things. 1. It is a small establishment but it is comfortable. 2. 75 beers of all types on tap and11TV’s 3. Crispy wings if you like your wings crispy which I do. 4. Well staffed. So overall great time and great beer. Give it a try.

Excellent little«locals» pub. Cold beer, good food and lots of sports on TV. A great variety of draft beers if you’re into that. Try the oysters on Wednesday evening and enjoy the band Paradise.

Update: sorry, this is just a hole, I don’t care how cheap it is. Even left hand milk stout isn’t supposed to be TOTALLY flat. These people have NO respect for the many kegs they tap(and why should they when so many of their tasteless customers pound one after another Mich Ultra).

Wow, 60 beers on tap! This is a great little place to sit around and hang out with friends in a relaxed environment. Friday nights are great to listen to some old classics with the band Paradise Bayou. Then after 10:00 comes the karaōke. I don’t do it, but it’s funny to watch other people do it! They also have some good food specials!

Shalimar Cheers Pub has to be in the strangest/funniest location I have ever seen for an establishment like this. It is located in a Office Complex, which makes it possible while visiting, to buy a house… go to driving school… talk to your lawyer… get some life insurance, and get some oxygen all while sipping on beer and eating chicken wings… truly a model other cities should be jumping on. this place is hidden in the back of the complex, so you really have to know it’s there, because this Pub is getting zero drive-by traffic. when you walk in you can tell this place is clearly kept in business by a crew of bar rats that don’t look like they have left their stools since Cheers was still the Number 1 Show on TV. if your not a regular, when you walk in you kind of get that«how the hell did you find this place look»…inside it’s the standard sports bar set up with flat screens and sports teams stuff everywhere on the walls. standard sports bar menu with all the Sysco Appetizers.burgers.sandwiches.pizza.wings.etc.the wings are actually pretty good and they have 45 cent wing night on Mondays which makes it a good place to come up and watch Monday Night Football… the crazy part about this place is they have like 25+ Craft beer options which makes zero sense because 99 percent of the clientele here drinks PBR. Bud Light. Coors Light. and Lite.so that leads to exactly what you would expect. alot of flat craft beers and skunky lines… last time I was there I ordered a Stone IPA that clearly was not a Stone IPA and whatever it actually was had gone bad… I informed the older bartender of this and she said«can I try it»…I said«sure»…she took a sip and said immediately«that’s Stone IPA» with a straight face and no grimace… having had numerous Stone IPA’s over the years I said«no it’s not»…she then took another sip and said«yes it is» without grimacing again. I did not pursue it anymore, because I actually respected her being able to drink two sips of the crappy beer without spitting it back up and selling the lie to me so convincingly. I made a note to myself to never get a beer from her again, but if I ever decide to open a Used Car Lot I damn know who I’m hiring as my Head Saleswoman… all in all a decent place to get wings and watch the game but I would think it best to avoid the craft beers and drink what the regulars do

This is a straight up sports pub. We went last year for several Alabama games. They have tons of tv’s with every game imaginable on at least one tv. They hosted the UA alumni association on gamedays for ’09. They would set up an outdoor tent with the game on a projection screen. The food isn’t bad either. Pretty good pizza and sandwiches. If I can’t get the game at home, I’m headed to Shalimar Cheers. Buffalo Wild Wings? No sir.

Hole-in-the-wall pub a couple of miles south of Eglin Air Force Base. Wine and beer only. Military men, Shalimar lawyers and locals. Polite staff. Not the most exceptional ambiance, but pretty alright for a drink after work.
