Really nice little bar with great selection of microbrews. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. This place is like a Baskin Robbins of beer – big selection and free samples! The food menu is limited but the 3-meat thin crust pizza was very good. It was a little to find – its hidden behind KCs and you can’t see it from the street.

Best beer selection on tap(even compared to Destin in my estimation). They have local brews and will let you taste before you order a pint. Staff are friendly and ordering is usually easy(unless it’s a packed weekend night). Excellent relaxed atmosphere right in the center of downtown FWB. If you’re having trouble finding it, go to the backstreet side of KC’s sandbar.

Best bar in fwb check out the pizza. They were out of basil so they replaced it with… bacon

This is my fave bar in FWB! Good tunes and good beer! Def a dive bar vibe but with a craft beer bar tap wall! The food is also on point too! If you just want to have a fun chill night in downtown FWB… I highly recommend going here. Also there is usually a live band or sporting event showing on the jumbo screen!

This place was a pleasant surprise! My hubby and I were out on a Friday night and we decided to take a chance on this place. Lots of beer on draft! I was SO happy to see something other than Blue Moon or Sam Adams seasonal as the ‘craft beer’ selection. The bartender was friendly and let us sample a few things before making a choice. We ended up coming back the next night with some friends to enjoy the live music at KC’s. I haven’t tried the food yet but I’m sure I’ll be back before too long. I thought their beer prices were decent, $ 10.50 for a Kona Pale Ale and Laughing Skull. I wouldn’t expect to pay anything less than $ 5 a beer for something like that.

This is a really great little bar, tucked back behind some other stores so I drive right past this place and never even knew it. So many different beers to choose from, you’ll definitely find something you like. The bartender that night was a really cool guy, you could tell he knew his different beers and what there was to offer. Never hesitated to offer a complimentary taste test on any of them so you knew that what you were spending your money on was something good and not a total shot in the dark. There’s a few TV’s up on the wall and several different games to play to keep the group entertained. It’s better than just your average, grungy place. If I’m going to get a few beers, I’m stopping here.

One of the only bars in Fort Walton Beach that I am impressed with. The atmosphere is fun and friendly! They have the largest selection of beers in the area.

This is my favorite bar in Fort Walton Beach, not only do they have an amazing beer selection but they have liquor and wine as well. The bartenders here are awesome and are really helpful with their recommendations as well. I love the atmosphere too, even if you don’t know anybody there, most of the people that go here are super friendly!

Small bar with a huge beer selection. Found some amazing beers & some not so amazing beers. They let you sample a beer before you buy it. The create your own martinis were great too.

I love this bar. Amazing bartenders who are more than happy to find you the perfect beer on their enormous wall of craft beer selections. Theylet customers taste almost anything. Nice and big bar, with lots of places to sit and hang out both inside and out. I’m holding out that last star because I feel that they shouldn’t share a menu wtih KC’s. I would love to see some more unique offerings at this already unique bar.

Tapworks is part of The KC’s Sandbar and Grille Complex of Bars… It is located in the back behind the beach area on the bottom floor of a two story building. Inside they have a great selection of beer, with approximately 60 beers on Tap including a lot of rarities not often seen in Fort Walton Beach… also in a nice change of pace from most craft beer bars they have hard liquor as well, l which is a nice touch for the people who do not drink craft beers… Tapworks has plenty of TV’S to watch the games on while inside and also has Darts and a nice selection of Board Games to play if that’s what interests you… one can also take their beer and wander outside to the other bar areas in the complex if your in the mood to be elsewhere, which is a nice option also… lots of good things about Tapworks, but unfortunately they are not coming through on the most important part of being a good Craft Beer Bar. THEBEER… first off, all the pints are overpriced by a buck or two for FWB… Tapworks is two bridges away from Destin and is trying to charge Destin Prices… why do FWB Bars think they can do that… that’s not a deal breaker for me, because I’ve spent plenty of cash at overpriced Craft Beer Bars in the past and I will in the future… the biggest problem is not getting what you paid for when your getting overcharged to begin with. first order was an 8 dollar Avery Maharaja which is a quite hoppy Double/Imperial IPA and I was given some sort of Belgian Abbey Style Beer that was most certainly not Avery Maharaja… next order was a 6 or 7 dollar Ballast Point Sculpin which is one of the most distinctive IPA’s in The USA and again was served nothing that tasted like Sculpin… after that I had had enough and took off… in a crazy coincidence I mentioned my experience to a couple other people and they both said they had the EXACT same problem at Tapworks… one person told me he ordered 4 Beers there one night and all 4 were certainly not what he ordered and was poured… this tells me the problem is endemic at Tapworks and is one or a combination of all 3 of these reasons… Kegs are being hooked up improperly(common occurrence in bars with this many drafts)…Beers are not selling fast enough and going stale in the line and keg and thus changing their flavor profile dramatically(not a surprise in a Bud Light. Miller Lite Town like FWB).and finally, and the worst if the real reason, they are doing it on purpose to take advantage of unsuspecting beer drinkers by substituting much cheaper beer for the higher priced listed ones you order(hope that’s not the case).right now the name Tapworks is the ultimate in irony, because the Taps DON’T work and Taps will be playing in the background when this place closes in a year if they don’t fix their operational issues… I really wanted to like this place more than I did, but for now I can only give it 2 stars and my advice if you go is watch and taste what you get

When you want good beer without the«fluff» — this spot will do it for you. Rich and Lakesha are awesome bartenders who know their brews! Good stuff, good times, no «kids» and all that B.S.
