Not going to lie, I stayed here once and I won’t stay here again. I paid $ 20 more for the ‘newer’ room … everything was beaten up. The microwave was a mess, the security door to the complex wasn’t operating, and the front desk is located behind the Mexican restaurant. On a very basic level, it shouldn’t be hard to find the front desk, but some how they managed to do that. This place could be good — the courtyard with the pool looked really nice — but the vibe of the place was run down. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, even for the bargain.

A convenient place to hold over a night or maybe a couple of days nothing more. There is a nice Mexican restaurant there and that’s pretty much all I can say. Sunbury, PA is a no frills place to pass thru although if your a historian it does have a lot of history.

My husband & I stay here every time we visit his parents, probably 2 or 3 times per year. For the price, it’s such a bargain, and they are so nice. The motel is very dog friendly, no worries about weight limit, and they give a nice welcome bag for your dog. A couple biscuits & kibble & a stuffed squeaky toy of some kind, which our dog really likes — new stuff! It’s an older property but clean and easy to find. We’ve never tried the fitness room or been there at the right time of year for the pool, so can’t speak for those amenities. When we stayed there at Thanksgiving 2013, my father-in-law had just been in a car accident. The lady at the front desk of this Econo-lodge was really wonderful & kind about my lengthy time on the computer in the front lobby, printing out some forms my mom-in-law needed for disability insurance application things. The manager just keep kindly letting me have extra paper as I needed. We stayed here again this year over the Christmas holiday, me & the husband. My mom came over from her side of Pa(near Erie) to visit us there. The Econo-lodge manager bumped my mom up to a suite at no extra charge and was again super friendly and helpful. If you don’t need shiny snazzy new finishes, this place is just fine and friendly. It’s very standard for what it is… older, but lots of safe green space around to take your dog for a walk around the the building. The breakfast really isn’t much but you can walk down through the parking lot to Bob Evans & get a 10% discount as a hotel guest, and that works fine. There’s nothing physically to make it 5 stars, but for an older place, it’s really reliable.
