What a disappointment. Poor service, cold or barely warm food. This is the 2nd Dennys in Oklahoma I have tried, first was as bad as this. My recommendation, go elsewhere.

Walking in, friendly and warm greetings from the staff and atmosphere. Prices are fare as always with any Denny’s. There is free wifi here at this location as well. They have healthy options here which I ordered a build your own grand slam which is four of your own choices. I chose wheat pancakes, egg whites, chicken sausage, and plain eggs. Starting at a total of 6.69. Totaling to about 7 $. Great tasting food. And a pleasant experience.

By far the worst Denny’s in America! Have stopped here twice over a few month span, they bring half your order and forget the rest, good luck getting refills on your drink! Server was great! But cooks have their head up their rears! Won’t be back over an hour wait for fish and chips! And only ten people in the place!!!

This Denny’s was the only highlight of my day. Cindy the manager was great. Made my food to follow my diet and even brought it outside to me so I could walk my dogs over with me. Thanks!

Christmas Day. Thank goodness for Denny’s. Stopped in Russellville, AR for breakfast. Shawnee, OK for late lunch. Restaurants are Busy. This place is full of people and great customer service. Parking spaces are small. Easy access from Hwy 40. Jennifer, our waitress, was great.

The last time we came here, they made eye contact, 2 tables had customers, and 4 waitresses hanging out by the kitchen, after 3 or 4 minutes, we left. This time, had the manager not have been coming up to ring someone up, it would have been the same scenario. Then we waited for drinks. Finally ordered, food served… definitely not presented well. Oh wait, what did you order. Uh. What did you order? One more time… what did you order? Yea, 3 times, they asked what my husband ordered, and our son and I were half through with our dinner before my husband’s dinner was served. One check in, no bill, my husband and son waited 10 minutes in the car waiting for me to get a take out tray and pay the«bill». Progressively worsening for the last year… think it’s time to not try one last time.

It was 9:30 last night and we was starving; but didn’t want fast food or to eat somewhere that would be closing in 30 min. So we went to Denny’s, I was pleasantly surprised at the huge menu’s, a lot to offer as well as breakfast offered 24 hours a day. Our waitress was amazing! My husband ordered the Ultimate omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast, which he said was good, I ordered off the $ 6 dollar menu and got the most freshest turkey sandwich with cheese, avacado, and a pepper sauce on toasted sour dough bread with vegetable beef soup. My problem right now is I’m having a lot of dental problems so soft food is a must and the sandwich just melted in my mouth… and I had half the sandwich to bring home for lunch tomorrow. overall as my husband would say, «good choice».

This Dennys is newly remodeled and it seems like they lit a fire under the wait staffs asses because it’s on point now.

Usually Denny’s is where servers go to die. However this ancient and tiny Denny’s was a pleasant surprise. Service was good and our server was great. Crissy was very friendly and made the overall usual hum drum that is Denny’s very nice. The only reason I gave a four is because the«new» quesadilla burger was blah. When they ask how you want your burger cooked at Denny’s, I assume it is just for a kitchen laugh, because no matter what you ask for… WELLDONE is what you get. I enjoyed the server and the nostalgia of the building was cool to see.

A rating of 2 ½ stars would be the fairest rating. I’ve eaten there twice since I’ve been in Shawnee for a visit. The first time I dined in the restaurant. The second time I got basically the same order as take-out. I hesitated before ordering the Shrimp Skewer from the 55+ Menu, not having very high hopes for grilled shrimp at a Denny’s, any Denny’s. So, I was very pleasantly surprised by what was presented to me. I enjoyed the shrimp AND the fried rice, I might add. The garlic toast was a split bun, and although a little darkly toasted for my taste, it had a pleasant, slightly garlicky flavor, too. I know it’s no big thing, but I was hungry, and that, too, was a happy, flavorful touch. I had a side of «dippable vegetables», but that meant carrots that really needed to be split lengthwise they were so big in circumference and hard to bite into. At least that meant they were fresh and not soggy. For the take-out I changed my side dish to steamed broccoli. Over the phone the waitress misunderstood me and thought that I was ordering the broccoli instead of the fried rice with which the Shrimp Skewer dinner comes, and she doubled the broccoli side order. When I got there and discovered the mistake, she apologized, and got me my fried rice in a prompt manner. She was very nice, very courteous, and apologized again for the misunderstanding. I could not ask for anything more than that. By the way, the steamed broccoli was crispy tender, which is not that usual for what you get at any restaurant, and just the way I like it. In summary, the food I had at Denny’s in Shawnee was quite serviceable and a welcome surprise for a tired, hungry man who needed something to keep his belly button from slapping against his backbone.
