Maurices

I have always loved Maurices and the style that that is there. Great location with friendly employees and a nice set up. They keep up on the organization which is appreciated at clothing stores.

So, I was really excited to see a Maurices opening up near my office, because I always enjoy perusing their aisles when I go to visit my mother. I was pretty disappointed at the selection though. Maybe it is just this season? Not sure, but it all seemed to be the same style, which seemed like some skinny little 12 year old beach bum would wear. Nothing for juniors or women. Nothing unique. All the same color palette. Bleh. The plus size section had some super cute things, but I am not plus size, so yeah, still a bummer for me.
Their accessories are cute but again, all the same color tone, difficult to find unique styles that will fit different outfits.
Also, the sales people are EXTREMELY pushy and try to act like your best friend. Which I personally find very annoying. It is just so fake and ‘put on’. I cannot stand it. Anyway, I have found a few cute items and I do drop by every so often to see if a new shipment/​style has come in. So far, not much luck… I know other stores have super cute stuff though, so I will keep trying every so often during a boring lunch break or something.
