By far my favorite Asian restaurant in town! I go here a couple times a month. Lots of seating so I can take larger groups. Great price and great food. I’m always down for chicken pad tai, and sushi!

Average on all accounts. Sushi rolls are quite small. They don’t take American Express.

Orange chicken was fabulous! I can’t wait to try something else. Husband had sweet and sour chicken. The sauce is made from cherries. It was delicious too.

When me and my wife want a quality Asian dining experience, we choose Phoenix Asian Diner. The food is artfully crafted with bold and good flavors. My wife has had the California Roll, and other great Sushi Rolls. I enjoy the Phoenix Spicy and other spectacular entrée’s. The servers are always very pleasant and personable. If you are looking for an intimate dining spot with your special someone, it’s not to loud, not to big, and not bad prices. You will not be disappointed.

We would always stop here for lunch at least once when we were in town for work. The food is very good and the portions are huge. I have only been for lunch and the prices were very reasonable.

I love this place! I was there from the first weeks of their opening and I was impressed. Most Asian restaurants in Shawnee are out of a can, gravy train, run to the bathroom places. Phoenix is fresh and the sushi is amazing for a town like Shawnee. The Chef specials give a large quantity of food which can feed people like me for two days. The owners aren’t from here originally and I think that’s why the quality is upper scale compared to the norm.

I am new to Shawnee and hadn’t bet on finding decent Sushi outside OKC but I took a recommendation from a coworker who was raving about Phoenix. I am a big fan of all things tuna. My boyfriend ordered an appetizer of crab rangoon which was not your typical frozen stuff. It was handmade and you could actually taste/see the crab. The filling was generous. I was a little disappointed by the number of Sushi options but the familiar favorites were all there. I ordered a regular tuna roll and added masago for an extra dollar($ 6.50) and a Hawaii roll which was spicy tuna topped with tuna($ 10.50). I was overwhelmed when the rolls came out, they were so big! I would have had to order 4 rolls at other Sushi restaurants to get so much. The rolls were thick as well. I could have done with more masago on the basic tuna roll but the center of the roll was perfect. No cucumber just a solid chunk of tuna. The spicy roll was my favorite though. The tuna on top was beautifully cut and the heat in the center didn’t kick you in the face but built nicely. My only criticism would be that the pieces were very big and I had to bite some of the larger ones in half to be able to chew comfortably(I do have a smaller than average mouth though). I was just so surprised by the quality and I got a great sushi buzz. My boyfriend ordered Kung Pao beef which came with soup, a crab rangoon, an egg roll and a tempura shrimp all for under $ 9.00. He was really impressed with the flavor and portion considering there were all those extras thrown in. I tasted his hot and sour soup which I’m not normally crazy about but I would actually order the hot and sour from Phoenix for myself. Our waitress was enthusiastic and helpful and the restaurant was very clean. Not many people had sushi so that may be one reason for the somewhat limited variety offered. I would have rather not had the T.V. tuned in to NBC cop dramas but the volume was low. The fortune cookies were fresh and had actual fortunes instead of helpful phrases. I really enjoyed dining at Phoenix and will be a frequent customer. This will be one of my go to spots to bring out of town guests.

Kudos to a restaurant that is thriving at a location that’s only seen failures in the past. The sushi is authentic and fresh every time, and the table service is fantastic. TJ always remembers my order!

Only sushi in Shawnee, but better than some places I’ve tried. Their general tsos is also delicious. Food is always hot and fresh and the people are always friendly. Prices are very reasonable too!

I have to say, I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food here. I went for lunch and ordered the crispy roll and general tso’s and it was well prepared, fresh, and a massive portion. I eat Chinese and sushi regularly and this place rivals some of my favorites. I’ll def try the raw bar next time. The only things I wish they would change is 1. Location, 2. Maybe some non-Italian décor? This is an Asian place right? And 3. Again, location. It’s just a little run down and downtown isn’t always the most convenient. Service was also excellent. Friendly and prompt. Thank you!

Finally Shawnee, Oklahoma has a sushi restaurant… and not just a sushi restaurant, but a quality sushi restaurant. I love sushi and I loved everything I tried at this restaurant! I had a little of everything, but I can only talk about the take out side of it since I did not eat there. I had the Tuna roll which had tuna on the outer part of it. It was great and the prices are very cheap. The rolls start at $ 4 and make their way up to $ 12. I also had chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken that was to die for. C’mon Shawnee, let’s embrace this place and keep them around for a long time!
