I really wish I could love this shop. They have some decent items inside. I normally come out with one thing when I stop in. Pros: Conveniently located in heart of Shelburne Falls. Clothes are color-coordinated with size separators. Cashiers are always friendly. They take credit cards! Name brand clothes. You can find some decent items. Dressing rooms are available. Cons: Not enough housewares and such. Overpriced for a thrift/consignment shop. I never see them do sales on any certain tag color. They normally have a small sale rack, but nothing I like has ever made it on that rack. My most recent purchase from Rethreads was selling for cheaper and was brand new from its actual company. That was disappointing… Can be kind of warm in the store. Lastly– You have to make an appt to drop off clothing. I stressed that I just wanted to donate my items and didn’t want money for them. I was still advised to make an appointment. Okay– well you can only come in for this appt during most people’s working hours and they only do it M-F. Which means they lose out. I had so much good stuff too. I want to support them as a local shop but making people come in and decide if you want their donations comes off as snobby. I had so many Forever 21 dresses, AE jeans, and lots of tops from Forever 21 and HM to donate, along with unworn shoes. They all ended up in a metal donation bin instead because I didn’t have another choice. My personal recommendations: Take donations without an appt. I understand appts for consignment. Drop the prices on basically everything at least $ 2-$ 3. There are shirts in there that are priced the same that I could buy brand new. I also saw a ring in there today that was costume jewelry and was one of those rings that you can squeeze together to adjust size(they pinch your skin), and it was $ 15! That’s crazy.

This was my very first used clothing store – I spent many, many hours with my mom weeding through the racks during the Neverending Bargain Hunt(my childhood). They’ve had a bunch of different owners, and the organization/quality of the shop definitely changes depending who’s running the show, but this is what I’ve learned from shopping here: 1) clothes organized by color makes it much easier to find good stuff, 2) discount days are great, and 3) being able to sell your old clothes is great! Plus, they have a pretty cool name, imho. Well worth a look!
