We were taking the scenic route home and decided to stop in the Buckland area for lunch. West End Pub had good reviews, so we gave it a try. We were so glad we did! Our server, Lucy, was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was a cut above usual bar fare in both variety and quality. The view of the river and bridges was fabulous. The building itself has quite an interesting history. We will definitely eat there again when we’re in the area.

The food, service & location were all beyond fantastic. We were expecting typical pub cuisine for lunch but the sandwiches, burgers & salads were some of the best we’ve eaten. All the ingredients were farm fresh & tasted wonderful. Our server was polite, helpful & attentive. The veiw was also outstanding. I would definitely want to eat here again on my next trip from California.

It may have been a off day at the pub, however we were not pleased. The waitress was very in attentive, and acted bored and she rather not be there. They took in people that had just arrived and we had been standing there for more than 20 minutes. We were finally seated, in a corner, with no view. When we finally got our food, I ordered a salad and my friend a BLTA. It was obvious the food had sat there for a pretty good period of time, because my salad was not chilled it was room temperature, I ate because I was starving. My friends sandwich was soggy on one side and stale on the other. Neither of us will ever eat there again, or recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I went for a drive and found ourselves at the bridge of flowers. We decided to have lunch at west end pub. We had a nice view, friendly and polite wait staff. We had no wait for table, or service. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We will be back again in the summertime for sure.

Awesome food, great staff, the wait time is kind of ridiculous considering they don’t want to take reservations over the phone… So prepare to drive down and be told to wait for an hour versus simply calling and getting the same answer.

Important — Make sure to get a seat by the window to feel like you’re eating over the river!!! This is my go to local restaurant. I’ve eaten here many times throughout the years. I am partial to their fish and chips and broccoli slaw. Their cocktails are unique and often give me a strong buzz. Though it’s been years since they had this on the menu, I miss their buffalo chicken patty burgers!!! Bring it back please!

Week after week the food, the service, the atmosphere are fine. We have been regulars year round, and find it a warmly welcoming place to find good food and good company.

Pain Killer = fantastical! Huge menu, great, reasonably priced drinks, cute restaurant and pub. I often bring friends and family and no one has ever had a bad meal. Big portions, hearty, healthy options, well done. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for 2 things: 1. The HUGE menu has very few vegetarian options, so for a local place, it gets old quick for a vegetarian 2. It gets quite busy and there is usually a wait. Other then that… Get the nachos, we once ran out of chips but not cheese. Need I say more?

We had a lovely lunch here on the porch overlooking the river — delicious onion rings. We loved Shelburne Falls and you are right near the beautiful Bridge of Flowers. Go there! Sweet town.

We had just walked along the Bridge of Flowers for the second time, soaking in the beauty. It was our first time in Shelburne Falls, and we had come just to see the Bridge. It was lunch time, so we decided to try out the West End Pub. After a 10 minute wait we were lucky enough to score a table for 4 at the picture window looking out over the river and the Bridge. The view was spectacular. What was even more spectacular was my Turkey Kimchi Reuben sandwich. I’m pretty sure it was the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The sandwich is constructed of warm, succulent sliced turkey breast, mild kimchi, and swiss cheese on thick multigrain bread, slathered with Russian dressing and grilled so that the cheese is melted and the whole thing is warm. The side of broccoli slaw was unexpectedly yummy. My partner had the apple bacon grilled cheese — also fabulous. As a side she had the fries which were nearly perfect — crunchy and brown. The West End Pub makes me wish I lived in Western Massachusetts. It just might help convince me I should.

When my wife & I were in the process of moving to town, this place was one of the things that made SF feel like home. Super-friendly staff, great drinks, reasonable prices, and fantastic food! My only complaint is that I wish there were more vegetarian dishes on the menu. Tofu, guys!

I would give no stars but that’s not possible on this app. We waited for a hour and fifteen minutes to eat after putting our name on a list. Whilst waiting outside sitting on the benches, several parties were seated ahead of us that had just arrived!!! We were so angry and left very hungry. The service is clearly poor and slow. I’ll probably never go here again

This is a very cute little pub on the Deerfield river in Shelburne falls. The views are awesome, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Stopped in as I was exploring the area and my friend wanted something pub like. This fit that bill: The good: The waitress/hostess that seated us was very friendly. We chose to sit at the bar, which felt less crowded then the rest of the restaurant. The bartender was smart, funny, and a good server. He happily answered questions and joked with us. Our orders for drinks and food were prompt. Even tho things were a bit busy. The flavors were good. Nice pairings of strong and interesting. The«eh.» Prices: They’re high.(And I come from a premium town.) The entrees are $ 13-$ 21. The burgers range from $ 10-$ 14 Lunch menus are a bit more reasonable, running from about $ 7-$ 10. Seating: Tight. Close. Small. The bar selection is on the average scale. No real surprises. When we were there there were 3 beers on draught, all of which were BBC.(On the positive note, they were at least 3 different types of brews. Pretty much something for everyone.) There can be a wait. The bad: My veggie burger was cooked too well. The outside was crunchy and the inside soggy. The tomato on the burger was pithy. For what it is, this is a very nice pub in a touristy town.

Very busy in the summer and fall and they only take reservations during the off season. But as long as you allow for the time it is sooo worth the wait. Drinks are wonderful. I will be going there tonight. I’ve been dreaming of my steak wrap and broccoli slaw since this morning!!!

Driving home from Albany, two weeks in a row, i was determined to find a better spot than our last trip. Just as we got off the Mohawk trail, and cell reception was restored, we found this cute little spot. When we first sat down, I could only imagine an episode of Restaurant Makeover as we were handed three different menus. One for specials, another for lunch items and then the all day menu. Why not just have one menu with a lunch section? Anyway, the choices all looked amazing. For a small place, that’s packed, you’d get better turnover if people weren’t having to review three menus. We both ordered burgers… one medium and one well-done(yes, I know the beef is lean and that makes the burger dry but that’s the way I like it). We had to send the medium one back as it was way too rare and I was a fool not to do the same as mine was medium-rare. It was damn tasty though!!! Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get past the medium — rare part. My bad but we were starving and in a rush. The rings are AWESOME!!! Drinks were über weak but the waitstaff were super friendly and helpful. If I lived in the area, I’d be a regular. We will be heading back that way in a few weeks so I’m happy to have a comfortable spot to stop for lunch! And next time, I’ll stress the well-done factor… again, my bad.

We stopped in here for a drink one evening after dinner. I opted for the Finestkind IPA(Smuttynose Brewing Co., Hampton, NH). A tasty, hoppy IPA with nice citrus flavors. Our waitress was super nice, as was the bartender. My cousin Liam ordered an espresso martini and was not pleased with the first one. The bartender came over and discussed it with him, and then made him a second one using different ingredients. Liam liked the second one! If I lived in the area, I’d be at West End Pub regularly! It’s a small, comfortable, intimate little pub! And the folk working there are super nice!

So on our way to Shelburne Falls, we realized we were hungry and so I Unilocaled restaurants to go to and came across this. We had to wait about ten minutes for a table, which isn’t bad at all considering they were busy, and were seated so we could see the Bridge of Flowers, which is great. Overall: Atmosphere: I liked it. The old house feel, intimate, cozy, with a nice view and a great selection of music, including some underrated and unknown foreign artists. Drinks: I had a Pomegranate Margarita, which I wouldn’t necessarily get but the server told me it was great and she was right. My boyfriend got the Vanilla Cherry Coke, also really good. Dangerously even. Food: We put in nachos as an appetizer because we read the notice at the front that stated respectfully for our patience since the kitchen is rather small. The nachos, which were standard, cheese, diced onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, chili, took an hour to come out. Which, sort of canceled out the whole reason we got them(so that we wouldn’t scratch each other’s eyes out from not eating all day). Upon finishing this, we waited an additional 30 minutes for two wraps. Mine, the Tuna Wasabi was rather good but my boyfriend’s, the Buffalo Chicken Caesar was just decent. The sever was good and as attentive and she could’ve been, but in the two hours we were there, we heard at least five other tables complain about their food taking too long. Attitude of Staff: Being a server for as long as I was, I can fully understand the stress that coincides with being that busy. However, there is never an excuse to show this repeatedly in front of paying customers. We saw and heard the kitchen staff, bartenders, and wait staff cursing and becoming visibly angry and agitated throughout our entire stay. I still think that it is worth it to come here but I would attempt to come at a slower time of day. Perhaps lunch time on Sunday is just too much.

We went to West End Pub a few months ago and were not disappointed. This little restaurant is always packed and has a wait list, but it is totally worth the wait. I had a local burger that was delicious and found the desert to be even better. We shared a brownie sundae and couldn’t stop eating it. The other cool thing about this restaurant was the bathroom. Even though this sounds weird, walking down to the bathroom and seeing the historic photos along the way was really great. This place has a ton of character, and a menu to match!
