It was unbelievable good! InStop at that plaza after work actually to get a pizza, and then changed my mind and got Chinese here. We had general Tao, Mongolian beef, lo main house specialty and chicken lo main! It was prepared quick and still steaming hot when I got home and the flavor and quality of the food was excellent! I sure stop again 5 stars from me!

The food was done pretty quick and it was for a good price. I have a couple of gripes on why this place is only 4 stars and not 5. They won’t sell single fortune cookies, you gotta buy the pack of 12 for $ 2.25. I’d happily pay a quarter for one, and then I wouldn’t have to eat the other 11. They also only have 1 small table with 2 chairs, granted its a take out place, but I kinda wanted to dig in with the way it smelled. The food was pretty good and I might stop in again if I’m in the area.

We went here last night and noticed that they have changed their chicken fried rice in their combo meals. They used to. add vegetables in it and scallions on top. Last night it just looked like tasteless brown rice and tasted like it too. Never change or cheapen something that made you successful. So unfortunately I’ve got to give this place 3 stars because it was not good. I’ll tell the owner the next time I go in there.

Well ordering Chinese Food on Christmas has been a tradition of late, as empty nesters, we are not making a feast for two. So today as we both recover from some 24 hour whatever, I called two of my Chinese Standbys, both were closed, so I knew of this Chinese restaurant near Latortuga & Shelby nails. but could not recall the name. thankfully GOOGLEMAPS saved the day. Called & placed the order, very nice polite young man, took the order & offered suggestions and said the magic words 10 minutes! My bride was craving chicken lo-mein I thought I was going to order Egg Foo Younge. but since its a new place & had to try the Kung Pao Chicken I walked in & this fine young man greets me with a hearty hello & Merry Christmas! I commented on his cool U of M hoodie & said GOBLUE! He handed me our food & I could barely lift it! I said WOW! whats all this! He said its my daily workout! Wished me a happy New year & I was on my way. The aroma on the way home was intense. Arrived home & opened it up and the bride declared both entrée’s «Works of Art» Her lo-mein was a perfect blend of tender chicken & comfort food via the diced noodle & veggies. My King pao was also special kind of a hot/sweet combo of tastes I ordered medium hot on my first visit, next time I will try HOTHOT Both orders came with a mountain of fried rice that was flavorful & not greasy Also a very fresh tasting egg roll with duck & soy sauce. We each have leftovers for 2 meals each. As mentioned, no fortune cookie, but I will press on! Now that Ive glanced at some other reviews, yep, went in blind, i will try the sesame chicken & General Tso’s eventually

Awesome place. The sesame chicken and orange chicken are absolutely delicious. The white rice is also a personal favorite. Me and my girlfriend eat here once a week. They serve the perfect sized meals for an awesome price. Overall, I love this place. Only negative is they need to make they’re sesame chicken spicier! :)

I’ve been going to China Chef Express since 1998. Not only have I gotten to know the owners to the point that no matter what phone number I call from they recognize me but I’ve also got to watch a family business thrive. This is in my honest opinion the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Sesame Chicken and General Tso’s are the must tries. If you REALLY like hot food you’ll need to request Extra Extra Hot to get up there they are a little mild in the spice department but that’s easily remedied.

I love China Chef. They always give you a lot of food. Enough for two people in one combination meal. The Lady that runs the front counter it entertaining to say the least, she barley speaks English. The price is just right. My only complaint is that you have to pay for fortune cookies and chopsticks! All in All I like them best in the Shelby area for Chinese takeout.

The 2 stars are for the delicious egg roll. The missing 3 were from the mean lady taking our order. While waiting for our food, she screamed at the chef several times(not complaining, very entertaining). Then once our food was ready, it say behind the counter for a good 10 minutes before she decided to give it to us. We watched our food sit and her take 4 other customers orders before a simple handover of our plastic bags. The worst part of the meal was the lack of a fortune cookie. They are an additional 25 cents or a dozen for $ 2. From my 25 plus years of ordering Chinese takeout, the first fortune is always free and included in every meal. I ordered the Rainbow Meal(spicy vegetables). It lacked variety and it was just ok. Lucky for me, there is enough left over for 3 more meals of this disapointment.

Carry out only Chinese restaurant has top-notch food! They make everything fresh when you get there, so call ahead to save 10 minutes in wait time. Everything I’ve had is amazing, but they’re known for their Sesame Chicken!
