Our family was pleasantly surprised by the Café. We had a shrimp basket, PBJ, pepperoni pizza, and a club sandwich. Everyone left happy! All the food is handmade, and staff is limited, so be prepared to wait. There is a great park for playing across the street, and outdoor dining.

Found this little diamond in the rough while staying in the Silver Lake area. Good food, good service, in a nice atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed a good fried perch basket with fresh hand-cut fries while my 12 year old had a Pizza Grinder that was as big as his head! I have edited their address here in Unilocal to help find it, but in the event it doesn’t show they are in the Stony Lake area on the corner across from a small town baseball diamond. After eating there, ask where the old Al Capone Castle is and enjoy a quiet beach access area that is a well kept secret.

We just ate at Stony Lake Café and Store. Pearl was our server and our cook. She was awesome. The service was terrific and the food was fantastic. My 9 year old thought it was wonderful, too.

Good food good prices. If you are rude or a snob don’t go you won’t be happy. But there again you never are. Nice people a little slower pace and yummy breakfast or lunch. Life is good at the SLC.

We love, love, love the Stony Lake store and café near our cottage in Michigan. It’s a cute store with an attached café that serves simple, traditional american food. They have a «locals» table in the middle of the restaurant where many of the fisherman and farmers come in for the morning coffee. They have ships on the fireplace mantle made of old beer cans. They have a library in the back with a desk where one can read and eat in a more quiet atmosphere. We tend to eat near the front windows to look out at the park near the 3 corner area of town. Breakfast is great and the people that run the café are as down to earth as you can get. The day we went in there was a new waitress so we were giving her a really hard time and having so much fun. She was howling. When we wanted our check I had to go back to the kitchen and they weren’t there(I kept calling out to them) and I finally found them in the back yard smoking cigarettes. hahahaha. We are known at this café since we’ve owned our cottage since the 40’s and it’s the only place around where one can get an internet connection. Ahhhhhh the perils of Great Lake living!
