They have a nice selection of ice cream. The staff are very nice. When the line gets long the staff keeps the line moving. Though recently I had a bad experience at the Tuck Shop. The staff were great. It was the product they were selling that has made me not want to return. The ice cream had a bad after taste. Not sure how long the ice cream had been in the freezer. Remember this is Shelter Island not much traffic. Also my cone had a very soapy taste to it. My dad even had the same problem. I have many great memories at the Tuck Shop especially in the video game arcade. This is the third time I have had bad ice cream at the Tuck Shop. Sorry Tuck Shop three strikes your out.

the tuck shop is an amazing establishment. I go there every summer with my family and it gets better and better every year! The girls behind the counter are friendly and happy to help. I asked why the ice cream was pricey and they explained how they get the highest quality ice cream and make the serving sizes bigger then most establishments so the prices were not as bad as i thought considering. i had cappuccino crunch and my husband had a sundae and we both agreed it was worth the price(not to mention the calories). i will definitely be returning in the future! can’t say enough good things about this place.

This place is cute! I’ve been here a handful of times and have been happy. I have to say it is a little overpriced but there aren’t many places on shelter island so there’s no competition. They might have taken more advantage of that but it’s relatively reasonable considering. I don’t think they make their ice cream there but it’s all right. The flavors are still good but not extraordinary. They have a lot of crazy colored ones for kids too like Superman a
