Huntington Walk-In Medical Center

Wish that you posted online that you would be closed today. Ended up finding a different place to go.

Not to add to the litany of people saying this place is ridiculous but…
Walked in on a Friday night at 5pm. It says it is a walk-​in medical center and I was interested in having university physical forms filled out. The woman at the front desk looked at me like I had 10 heads. She said, why would you come here? Hmm, I don’t know because I need to walk-​in to have medical service… She stated that the walk-​in is for sick people and what I am looking for is a primary care center (in the most condescending voice I’ve ever heard). I said, yes I’m aware and that every walk-​in I have been to in all the states I’ve lived will perform physicals. She said, well we can’t fit you in tonight, we can make you an appointment for 3 weeks or you can go down the street to St. Vincent’s walk-​in. Uhhh, okay, easy decision, bye Huntington Walk-​in? Do you like making money? Taking patients? Building a business? Do you often send your business to an alternate walk-​in? Highly questionable.
So, in case you need a work, school, sports, etc. physical, do not come here! They book appointments three weeks out, only on weekdays, and are super condescending. And in case you were wondering, they couldn’t take me because they were «too busy» for a physical and there was one person in the waiting room, two medical assistants watching the TV, and they did not close until 8 pm (3 hours after I came in the door)…

INCOMPETENT!!! Refused my young son treatment stating insurance card not active which I knew was impossible. After calling ins company to verify coverage which was in fact in place it was closing. Staff at front desk imbeciles. My sister also had a problem getting in here telling she too was not covered. Completely different plan and she couldn’t be seen either. Don’t go here when in need!!!

The blood draw station has the best people ever. It is hard to use my tiny veins, but they get them on the first try and do not hurt me. I highly recommend this place.
