I ordered the«loaded baked potato» daily special soup today and it was delivered to my workplace. There is an upcharge for this soup and/or daily special soup so I paid extra thinking it would be really something. What I received was a pureed soup, no bacon or shredded cheese, or anything to justify an upcharge. It was basically a thicker broth soup with some seasonings for $ 6.75 for 16 oz. — with tax and delivery tip, $ 8. I called and told them there were no potatoes at all in the soup, and was told this is how it’s made —? I don’t know about you, but every time I’ve had baked potato soup it definitely has potato pieces in it, never mind grated cheesed on top or bacon, and this was supposed to be LOADED baked potato soup. Definitely disappointed and not worth the money.

Best place for lunch. The Santa Fe sandwich and roasted artichoke chicken gorgonzola soup are to die for.

BEST pumpkin soup I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be dreaming about this soup for the rest of the week. I should probably mention that I also had a delicious garden salad with it but the soup stole the show. This is the perfect lunch stop, especially if you’re like me and tend to bring work to lunch with you and need space to spread out while eating. The only reason I went 4 stars was the location — it is inside of a large business building and has NO signage outside of the building. I drove around in circles for 10 minutes before giving up and walking into the building. That being said, there’s plenty of parking and the food is SO worth the confusion.

Great soups and even better sandwiches. I love the meatloaf sandwich. The only complaint is the hours. I can only go here on my day off or straight from work to pick up dinner. But they never disappoint. All ingredients are fresh and all soups are homemade.

Located in the Energizer building. Definitely best spot for a no fuss lunch in the area. They have a great variety of tasty soups(big fan of their many chili varieties) always rotating and interesting sandwiches(I usually opt for a buffalo or Bangkok) and salads as well. The hidden gem of this spot is the salad bar though. Unlike the rest of the food, which is definitely on the higher priced side for soup/sandwiched, the salad bar is a terrific value. I can often load up on a delicious salad with lots of chicken salad(sometime curry or buffalo too) for 7 bucks.

Its too bad you cant do 0 stars! The food is pretty good, when fully cooked. Got a «sammich» with bacon on it, the bacon was raw! The delivery guy forgot my(overpriced) soup, and then they charged my credit card twice. When I called to complain, I was made to jump threw hoops to get a refund for the 2nd charge that they ran on my card, and the owner didn’t even seem to care about my experience. We used to order from here all the time, but everything has gone down hill over the last few months from food quality to service. Two thumbs way down for this place.

First, I want to say that I love the Liquid Lunch in downtown Shelton. The one on Research Drive however just does not compare to the quality of the one downtown. The sandwiches and salads are small and appear to be thrown together hastily. Have had multiple issues with them running out of ingredients and have had to wait for them to finish my order even after calling it in. Stick with the soup if you are going here.

I am a HUGE fan of Liquid Lunch. I have been going to the Shelton store, since they opened. The owners Michelle and Fred are always warm and friendly and translates into their food. My favorite part of going there is to see if they have concocted any new dishes or desserts. Love their soups and they are always changing it up. My favorite soup: is their corn chowder and french onion soup. My favorite sandwiches: are the meatloaf, and the roasted beef sandwich. The lunch lady specials: lobster macaroni and cheese is soooooo good, and their lobster roll. My favorite is when they did the Italian ice this summer… especially the lavender honey one.
