Came here to pick up some fettuccine for my grandfather and it was a great experience! A gentleman greeted me and promptly cut the pasta in front of me. I’ve had their pasta before and it’s fresh and tastes almost as if my Italian grandmother made it! It’s not much of a sit-down place. Good for takeout with refrigerators on both sides when you come in filled with pasta, ravioli and tortellini, sauces, desserts and more!

So I’ve come to pasta fina many times since they’ve opened and I’ve tried a lot of different things and the only pasta I like is the ravioli. I’ve bought pasta sheets to make lasagna and they were way too thick. There are a lot of different ravioli made here, my favorite being the mushroom and sausage Their sauces are pretty good if you are someone who doesn’t know how to make their own or if you’re in a pinch. It’s convienent if you live in shelton and want to pick up ravs and sauce for dinner. Unfortunately, the owner or gentlemen that is always there when I go has zero personality, doesn’t smile and seems as though he hates his job. The other downside is the prices. A package of 30 small size ravioli will run you about ten bucks. That being said, it doesn’t stop me from buying them, just not as often as I’d like.

Being 100% Sicilian I was worried I wouldn’t like the home made pasta. I was really surprised with how good it was. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes home made pasta who doesn’t have the time to make it themselves in a pinch! I keep some in the freezer at all times now!

Such great pasta! Everything is cut fresh when you order it, and we have had many delicious meals with this stuff as its base. This is one of the things I look forward to when I go home to visit my parents!

Great find. Have had the wholewheat linguini, vodka sauce and chicken scarpariello and everything was great. Seriously, why cook? Extremely reasonably priced. They are hidden away on Howe Ave., but truly, a gem in Shelton.

First impression… WOW! I’m not surprised they won«2011 Best of Connecticut» for fresh pasta in Connecticut Magazine. We ordered trays of Chicken Marsala and Cavatelli with Broccoli for a family party and were amazed by the taste and quality of the food. This is definitely a take-out place and we’ve been back many times… highly recommended!

Although there two tables at the front of the shop, and food will be heated for you if you wish, this is primarily a take-out place. And what take out it is. Fresh pasta, sauces, focaccia, and desserts. It’s always a tough to choose among the ravioli — pumpkin, sausage and mushroom, sun-dried tomato and spinach, to name a few. Desserts include cheese cake, chocolate mousse, and tiramisu. Pick up some bread, salad, and wine on your way home, and you’ll have a classic Italian meal at a fraction of what it would cost in a restaurant.
