This store used to be a state-run liquor store, but is now called Shelton Liquor and Wine. You can still tell what it used to be, but they’ve definitely added some interesting features and cool displays to jazz it up. The store is pretty large and has the usual sections divided by type of spirits, as well as beer and wine. There’s a big cold case off to the side, including a neat thing where you can make your own six-pack with draft taps inside the door. If mini airplane bottles are your thing, they have a large selection, including some premium brands and unusual flavored liqueurs(which is nice if you just want to sample something or need a little bit for a recipe). They have a refrigerated case at the front with some good-quality mixers, including San Pellegrino soda and various flavors of Bundaberg fruit soda and ginger beer. The prices are reasonable — I wouldn’t have expected to find Bundaberg in a small WA town at all, let alone at a price comparable to Seattle’s. The staff were friendly, greeted us when we came in, and asked if we needed help or had questions. All around, a great little liquor store for your road-trip stocking-up needs!
