This is not like the old Bennigan’s. Service was SLOW and the place was almost empty. Broccoli Bites were great. That’s about all that was good to eat.

Went tonight for first time it was great. This is pub grub so don’t expect $ 40 steaks. The service was outstanding and food was quick and met our expectations.

The Woodlands location needs chef Ramsay NOW!!! So many issues have not been dealt with, and we will not go back! 1. A/C does not cool this place off at all… add lots of humidity!!! 2. Rude hostess/waiter with an untucked shirt who ended up being the bar tender; who was busier waiting on his family on the patio… how do I know this… The little boy came. And said daddy I want some more of something 3. Waiter seemed annoyed we stopped there to eat ‚… Wait don’t we the patrons help his pay check… well very little tip was left… We left more advice then Mony. 4. Ordered food, my sons shrimp smelled so bad… I almost threw up! p. S. The food took like 40 minutes to get to our table… and it was cold!!! Never again!!!

Staying at hotel In parking lot so we walked over to grab some supper. When we entered the host was nice a we were seated quickly. The server was quick to arrive to our table and was very nice but could not answer any of our questions about the drink menu. We attempted to buy several drink but the waitress would have to run and ask the bartender each question. That on top of the A/C being broke, it was just too hot to stay. We walked across the parking lot to Red Lobster. When we told them about our Bennigan’s experience they acted as if this happens often.

I rarely if ever complain about food but I created a Unilocal account specifically for how bad the service was at this place. As soon as we walked in, it was dead and yet there wasn’t even a host in the front to seat us. We waited for a good 5 minutes before calling to someone in the back to come seat us. Then our waiter took our drink order which took about 15 minutes to get out. A Mr. Pibb and two long island ice teas. 15 minutes in a restaurant with about 4 customers total. The food took so long that I was full from the few bites of the overly salted buffalo wing appetizers that we ordered beforehand. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and I understand now why this restaurant had no customers in it. I will not be returning.

I really hoped that the new opening would prove successful and that significant improvement to the quality of food would be present. Clearly My expectations were too high. When I walked in on a cold Monday it was completely dead(now I am not surprised). No one was at the hostess stand. The staff was simply standing around watching the TV. They all kind of made me feel a bit uncomfortable as they stared at me. Someone finally sat me in the bar. I sat down and started perusing the happy hour food menu. The waitress approached me and informed me that she had no idea why those menus were on the table. I started looking at the wines they offered and she them informed me that it would depend on what wine I wanted as «no one really orders them so we have been out for a while» um ok. I end up ordering something I dont really want but it was fine. Then the food. Oh gosh the food. I ordered the pick three appetizer with Broccoli Bites, chicken tenders and potato skins. All three were absolutely terrible. The chicken was chewy and stringy with no flavor. Who can make a potato skin topped with cheese, bacon and chives taste like nothing? Bennigans, thats who. Those«broccoli bites» were american cheese deep fried in flavorless batter with specs of broccoli in them. Just gross. The waitress saw how little I ate and never asked me if I liked it or not but kept asking me if I wanted to take it with me. I told her twice I didnt want a to go box. Should have been a clue. I can see why this place is dead all the time. Oh well, I gave em a chance.

I’m from Chicago. I try to avoid chain restaurant because they are mostly the same. However I could walk to this bennigans so I thought I would give it s try. I sat at the bar and was very pleased with the pleasantness of the bartender and manager. Food was good and it was a pleasant evening.

Very pleasantly surprised at the food quality. Not the usual menu. Had the flat iron steak salad. The chicken tenders and fries were perfection.

Only gets the one star because I have to but I guess the beer was cold so that’s worth one star. Waited 8 minutes for said beer with one bartender working a full bar area. Finish this drink and leaving at half time for 3 bs burgers. Won’t be back.

My wife and I were excited to see that a Benngian’s recently opened in our area. When we arrived the restaurant did not seem that busy. We were seated immediately and after waiting about 5 minutes we still had not been greeted by our server or offered drinks by anyone. At this point we were both troubled that we had not been greeted or offered drinks yet, after the approximate 5 minutes of waiting I started the stopwatch on my phone. When the stopwatch on my phone showed almost 12 minutes the hostess asked if we had been helped yet and we said no(I showed the stopwatch to the hostess that had almost 12 minutes on it). Since our server was missing in action I went to the bar to get our drinks and returned to our table. At approximately 13 minutes on the stopwatch(about 18 minutes since we had been seated) our server finally arrived and took our order. Our server did apologize for the long wait for us to be greeted. I showed him the stopwatch on my phone and he offered no other comment. The food was decent I ordered a grilled chicken dish and my wife ordered cottage pie. Both arrived timely from when the waited turned in our order. I had to get up and refill our drinks at the bar since our server went missing in action again. When I arrived at the bar for the second time to get drinks, the bartender asked if our server was still missing. In a former life I was a server and we were always told if a customer is upset always get a manager. The hostess, bartender, and our server had to have known we were not pleased. A manager never appeared at our table, nor was a manger discernable in the dining area. It appeared they only had one manger and he /she was working in the kitchen. Our server presented us with the check without asking if we wanted dessert. There was a place on the check where a customer could go and fill out a survey. My wife and I both agreed that we would fill out the survey when we got home. However, the server retained the check with the survey information and only returned the credit card receipt for us to sign. Did he retain the receipt so we would not fill out the survey? Since a manger was not available in the dining area, I thought I would call the manger and let him /her know of the issues we encountered during our visit. When the hostess answered the phone I was informed that the manger was unavailable and I would have to call back later. Of the 37 reviews visible as of the date I am posting this, sixteen reviews have one star and three additional reviews have two stars(that is half). It is unfortunate that the reincarnation of Bennigan’s has lost touch with what made its predecessor successful. I have read a number of responses from Bennigan’s customer service that states they will«take the necessary steps to correct these issues.» If the issues that are causing these negative reviews are not addressed, this reincarnation of Bennigan’s will be out of business soon.

Great food, clean establishment. Closed back in 2007 and now there back with a bang and it’s amazing. This is where I’ll be for Saint Patrick’s day.

Stopped in here today and was expecting a nice meal, thought maybe the newer bennigans had made a good comeback, but I was wrong. First impression started off horribly, we were sat at a dirty table, that we had to ask to be wiped off, and within the first ten minutes of our visit, we had 2 different servers come to ask for our drink order. We had to tell the 2nd server that another waiter had already helped us. It seemed to be taking a long time to get our drinks, when the manager came to our table and had to ask us all what we had to drink again. So now 3 different people have approached us, with none of them being able to simply get drinks. Finally we get our drinks(waters and soda) and one of the drinks is served in a terribly chipped glass-dangerous! So we get on with ordering our food, and two of us ordered the pot roast(one of their signature meals), and the waiter is off with our order. A good 10 mins go by, when the waiter comes back to inform us that they are«out» of pot roast. He doesn’t offer or suggest anything else, and frankly seemed to not care. After all the confusion and mis-communication between the staff, we decided we were going to leave and eat elsewhere. We had already been here for a good half hour with nothing more than drinks and confusion. I’m not sure if all the staff was new or what, but it was really dead in here so I feel they could have easily been on top of things. The waiter should have already known that they did not have one of their main entrees before we even sent our order back. The whole experience just showed bad management, improper training and a huge lack of communication. I’m sure the food would have tasted fine, but the service just killed it for us. I hope that this place improves and gets on track, as it could be a very successful location in the woodlands. Btw the manager did nothing about this situation and did not even try to keep us here or talk to us, another sign of just not caring.

Wife has a nostalgia for the old Bennigan’s chain, and we hadn’t been to this one, so we met after work there at the bar. Weren’t expecting it to be anything like the old Benningan’s and of course it’s not. But wasn’t expecting it to be so bad either. Ordered drinks and an appetizer, the Mix & Match, choice of 3 apps for $ 13. We picked eggrolls, nachos, and Buffalo wings. More about this to come below. My vodka tonic was very weak, mostly tonic water. She said her Bloody Mary was very good. While waiting for our apps, the two female bartenders had a very open conversation about a conflict the previous night with another staff person. Didn’t seem to care who heard, and we all did. Eggrolls were very OK. The nachos, with very generous toppings of cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, couldn’t be eaten with fingers… the chips were just too thin. Fork needed. Now here’s the real killer… the Buffalo chicken wings were BLOODY inside! When shown to the barstaff they didn’t seem concerned and asked if we wanted them to cook some more. «No, I don’t think so.» I did assume those would be removed from the tab, but of course that was wishful thinking. Hey, bloody chicken is a BIGDEAL! The two guys next to us at the bar asked for silverware. Barkeep said«sure», then promptly forgot and went on doing bar stuff. Since our nachos couldn’t be eaten by hand we also soon asked for silverware. At that point she then realized she had forgotten the other two guy’s silverware too. There was never a check to see if we needed drink refills, which we did and placed our empty glasses at the rear edge of the bar which is the universal bar signal for a refill. BTW, throughout this scenario there were a total of 5 people at the bar. Had to ask for refills each time. Of course there was no compensation on the tab for the bloody chicken. Really wasn’t surprised, since i’d had to insist that they inform the kitchen of the bloody chicken. Wonder if they actually did? Can you guess? Yeah, that’ll be our last visit.

Well, *I* liked it. I wish there was one just like it in Sugar Land. Seemed clean, booth was comfortable, décor was nice, even if the humongous light shades didn’t quite go with the Irish theme. Order was taken, and food and drink arrived, in a timely manner. Waitress was very nice, although I can do without being told to «have a blessed day» anywhere except in church. Seems like everyone who passed offered me a refill on my iced tea, and I was even offered an iced tea to take with me. The Monte Cristo was properly made and very tasty. I liked the very thin onion rings that came with it — much easier to eat than other places’ onion strings. The French onion soup was quite satisfactory as well. I would definitely eat here again when in the area, and I wish I had one here.

I really enjoyed Bennigan’s…back in the day and was super excited when I seen one pop-up on my side of town, the Woodlands area. After making arrangements to meet someone there for dinner, to check it out, I started reading the reviews and got a little nervous, but we tried it anyway. I have to say that the server we had was fabulous, she was nice, attentive, funny, informed, and helpful. We ordered the«sampler» type appetizer which was very good, really enjoyed the pineapple dipping sauce. I ordered the steak salad which was REALLYGOOD and my boyfriend ordered the monticristo with baked potato soup, which was his favorite years ago. He enjoyed them both a lot. We even ventured out and ordered the apple thingies(and yes that is a real word in my world, lol) with ice cream. This was super yummy and the perfect amount to split. We will definitely be back.

Read all the reviews after I sat down and was a bit concerned. Contrary to many of them, the service was good and the food was okay. It was reasonably priced and had a lot of the basics, including grilled chicken tenders on the kids menu. We ordered a mix and match appetizer with the classic Monte Cristo sandwich, wings, and potato skins which was okay. The buffalo chicken salad was great and so was the cottage pie. The place was very comfortable and much better ambience than the old Bennigans.

Five of us decided to try out the new place. It was a Wednesday around 6pm. We were immediately seated and out server promptly greeted us. He was nice, funny and polite — the kind if server we knew we would remember and be delighted to have again in the future.(Blake, if you’re interested.) He brought us samplers from the bar — half blue moon and half angry orchard — a great combo that two of us ended up ordering. Out appetizer arrived quickly. Our drinks were refilled as needed. We never had to get our servers attention. He was great about taking care of things before anyone needed to ask. Our entrees arrived shortly after appetizers. Perfect timing. It was my first time having a monte cristo and it was really great. Crispy, warm, and delicious. Two others in my group said the same about theirs. I had been thinking about a brownie sundae for about a week and I was determined to have one even though is just eaten the biggest sandwich if my life. Bennigans calls this dessert a brownie bottom pie. A warm brownie on bottom, topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce and crumbled Oreos. It’s hard to go wrong with that combination. It was perfect. Our purpose for going to Bennigans was to pig out and that we did. Our check was brought and split with no problems and our server saw us off at the door. I know this place had been numerous restaurants in the past, but I had never been to any of them. I’m not sure what the interior looked like then, but what I found was freshly painted walls, new fixtures and décor, comfortable booths, clean bathrooms, and a decent looking bar area I will probably visit in the near future. The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because the fire alarm went off twice. Probably just heat/smoke from the kitchen, and there was no actual fire or immediate danger. It was just kinda loud for a minute or so.

Food just like I remembered. Bar set to the side, so the food is more of the focus. I definitely recommend
