Unscrupulous is the only way to describe this business. Bait and switch with the door-​to-​door sales pitch. «just try us for a year, we’ll give you a discount.» Year is up, call day of to say they’re on the way. $ 89 charge. Bad on me for not leaving this review a year ago after telling them to shove it.

The worst!!! i originally had a great experience with ecoshield, but trying to stop service with them has been OUTRAGEOUS– for 6 months they have been continuously coming to my home and harassing my wife and I– I have spoken with 3 «managers» have 4 sets of personally recorded calls telling them not come and them saying they would no longer be coming or in contact and 1 – 2 weeks later I get a reminder email and call that they will be out to service the property. I finally threatened the use of force if they came onto my property again and I think they may have finally gotten the message– or maybe not I guess we will see…
Best recommendation is STAY AWAY!!!

WARNING: DO NOT SIGN CONTRACT — BAD REVIEWS ARE 100% ACCURATE. DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. This company has very DECEPTIVE Business practices when they’re standing at your front door. I too was told that I could cancel my contract ANY TIME by my door to door sales man. I will be filing Complaints with BBB and with the State Attorney General’s Office. Their services are not bad at all especially since they guarantee their service and you can call them back anytime to repeat the service at no charge and Dusty is a nice gut. I didn’t realize my Cancel Anytime contract was really a three (3) year contract until I raised a dispute through my credit card company for a credit due me, more on that later. Looking at a hard copy of my contract it showed THREE YEARS and if you decide to cancel prior to the three years you have to pay an additional fee Blows my mind They owe me. credits and referral credits and instead of giving me the money back they keep «carrying» the credit on their books. Hello it’s not a credit if you never receive credit for it. Not only that now I am embarrassed that I referred my next door neighbor, not only did I notice they did a lousy job but now he has a three year contract that he thought was a cancel anytime! American Express has re-​opened a case for me and is noting their deceptive business practices.

WARNING: DO NOT sign the contract. It only protects them so they can provide lousy service (in the field as well as the office) and still take your money. They do not answer the phone and it takes them several days, if not weeks to respond to emails.
The first visit on 6÷10÷14 they sprayed the whole exterior of the house as well as the interior. I assumed that this was the service I was paying for as they charge the same price for each service. They tell you they have to do the next visit within 30 days and came back on 07÷03÷14 and just sprayed the exterior of the house.
On 10÷04÷14 they came back for the 3^rd visit. The technician took about 60 seconds to spray the exterior of the house. I asked him if he was going to spray inside and he said he didn’t need to. I told him that I had seen some spiders in the kitchen so he came in and sprayed that area.
For the 4^th visit, they notified me on Saturday, January 3^rd that they were coming for my quarterly service on Monday, January 5^th. I called them on Sunday telling them to cancel as there was too much snow. I got a return call on Monday and was told that the technician was at my house. I told her to cancel as I would not pay when the foundation was covered in snow. She told me she would cancel and we rescheduled for February 4^th. Next thing I know, I get a message from the tech that he completed the service anyway and they charged me the $ 109.00. I complained about the charge as I specifically said I would not pay for them spraying the snow and no one was home for them to spray inside. They did credit the money back.
I told them I was not happy with the service they were providing and wanted to cancel the contract. It took three weeks and multiple emails before I finally get a response that it will cost me $ 141.00 to cancel the contract. I would rather pay that and be done with them than to continue being overcharged for lousy service.

Read the Contract! We went a long with this company as the salesmen came to our door and promised a pest service for a discount to $ 75 from their normal price of $ 250. He mentioned they do quarterly treatments and told us that he would schedule them and that we could cancel those treatments anytime. Sounded like a good deal, well after the first sprays and a treatment the spiders were still everywhere. They would come out to spray on request for free but didn’t help much.
When I called to cancel our treatments they informed me I had to pay the difference of the first spray $ 175 to get out of the contract! After talking to Victoria and one other guy they would not let me out of the contract even though this wasn’t told to us by their salesmen. They didn’t seem to care about what we were told. It was on the contract I signed but i trusted what the guy told me, shame on me I guess. Very dishonest. I suggest buying some insect spray yourself as if works better and don’t be fooled by the Eco part of their name. It doesn’t work. Not a good way to treat a customer

Take caution with these guys. Very expensive and they don’t do the job. We had bees, ants, mice and spiders DURING treatment and had to have them back a couple of extra times. Still had the pests. Feel like I was scammed. Cancelled after a year of expensive payments. Find another option.

Signed up for their quarterly treatments. Marvin has shown up the last two times and has been professional, courteous, informative, and most importantly always on time! Recently we had some ants show up and they were here within 24 hours and the problem was taken care of, again my Marvin who went above and beyond. Their level of service has gotten nothing but better since our very first appointment. The new management and service techs are definitely doing it right.

These guys started out really good and quickly went downhill. I setup a 1 yr plan with them to take care of some ant problems I was having. The first couple of visits everything was good, then towards the later appointments they just stopped trying. Perhaps it was because they found out I am not renewing, but it got downright ridiculous at the end. They sent a card telling me the scheduled appointment time. I went home from work and waited for hours and nobody showed up. I call them and they say that the guy was sick and they were going to call me. We reschedule for the next day and nobody shows up. I call, email, no answer, no call back, nothing. 2 weeks later with no appointment someone shows up at my house randomly. He wasn’t prepared with the appropriate stuff to deal with a problem I had. Each time it is a different person that looks fresh and new. This is not how you run a business. Sorry, but I can’t recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Ecoshield is one of the most dishonest businesses I have encountered. There sales man Trevor Jones completely lied about the contract. I tried 5 times to contact him and spoke to several employees about my issue to try to get to a resolution. My calls were ignored and I was told that I had to pay. I even went to the store location to try to speak to someone face to face, but they were not there during their scheduled hours. I am very disappointed in this company. I can’t believe they have not been investigated yet and shut down for there dishonest buisness practices. Do not use this company unless you want to be scammed out of money and lied to.
**Update:
The response from ecoshield is dishonest. They were never in the office during business hours and did not respond to my calls. It took multiple attempts to contact them until I was able to talk to someone. When I did talk to someone, they gave me the run around. There entire business practices are horrible. Do not use this company. I am very disappointed with their service. I tried to cancel this service after discovering that their sales person lied, but they would not allow this. You continue to respond to these Unilocal reviews with lies. As you can see from your Unilocal reviews other customers agree that your company is terrible.

Kriff J. came by and did a very thorough job of spraying AND cleaning up the spiderwebs that had accumulated in the basement and window wells of our new house. I haven’t seen a single spider in the house since the treatment.
We’re signed up for $ 90 treatments every 3 months for one year, seen no trouble at all there.
