Hi Quality Motors

We discussed 2 things, and Oil Change and Air filter (he recommended) Total $ 120.
Called me to pick my car up with a new total of $ 198! Said my car needed some things so he did them and was charging me. No call. No authorization.
Very sad. I trusted his work ethic.
It is illegal to do work not authorized and attempt to charge your customer. He discounted the final cost when I refused to pay for unauthorized work.
I will not return.

There has never been anyone I’ve ever trusted more with my family’s cars for the past ten years than Steve. He is one of the most knowledgeable, trustworthy and amiable mechanics I’ve ever met, and will always give you an honest price for the highest quality service. He’s an amazing mechanic and an even better human being.

We found this place on Unilocal.It is walking distance from our house, which is a huge plus. Both my boyfriend and myself have had our cars serviced here and have both had great experiences. Each time our cars were completed in a timely matter, there were absolutely no extra costs, and the mechanic actually went above and beyond to fix little things that needed attention free of charge. We will continue to bring our cars here.

TRUST is the hardest thing to come by — especially in this town. But Steve & Hi Quality Motors have my heart, trust, and then some.

I was referred to Steve by his nephew. Called him. We spoke about whether I needed new wipers and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Solved my wiper problem on the phone! So I haven’t met him in person but he the guy I’m calling when I have any other problems. Thanks Uncle Steve!

I’ve taken my car to various mechanics and dealerships over the years and none of them have come close to the service that Steve provides. For the last two years, Steve has been taking care of my car better than I do!
Steve goes above and beyond when it comes to service. Someone hit and run my car and when I needed to get my bumper replaced, he gave me the most competitive price and turn around time. My bumper came back looking brand new!
Though I am pretty uneducated about car maintenance, I know that certain things take higher priority than others. Fortunately, my car alerts me when it’s time for maintenance. When I’m low on funds, Steve doesn’t try to rob me. He is an honest mechanic that will work with me and simultaneously make sure my car runs great. If there are certain things that can be fixed/​maintained at a later time, he is honest with me.
It’s surprising to me that there are not more reviews. Steve is the kind of family mechanic that you go to for a lifetime and send your kids to as well. Hi-​Quality Motors has been established for nearly 40 years though & I guess that says a lot more than just a 5 star review! If you go, you won’t be disappointed.

In this industry, it’s so rare to find a mechanic who is not only fair but HONEST! Steve is without a doubt heaven sent! I refuse to go to family over him! He will never try & push you to fix or replace things that don’t actually need fixing or replacement! A huge positive in my opinion, as I have paid a lot of fffffing money I didn’t have at the time, on things that were not even the problem! I’m very grateful to have met Steve 8 years ago! I have trusted him with 2 Jaguar S~types & a Toyota Solara. I highly recommend Hi Quality Motors! & I highly recommend Steve! Great prices from a quality shop (no pun intended)!

Come to Steve! I originally took my 2010 535i to Center BMW. After 4.5 hours of having my carwaiting to be diagnosed. I took it out of there and went straight to Steve. He diagnosed the problem in 20 mins after hooking the comp the the car. About 2 hours later I left his shop a happy customer. Go To Steve!

Steve at Hi Quality Motors is an angel. I was involved in a fender bender outside of Sherman Oaks, and did a quick Unilocal search for a great place to go. Even those «not recommended» reviews that Unilocal always hides said that this place is fantastic, so I chose this place. I wasn’t able to get to the shop until a few hours after they closed, but Steve waited for me and immediately assessed the damage when I got there. The turnover time was way faster than I expected, and Steve texted me photos and descriptions of the problems my car had throughout the entire process, which really put me at ease. He gave me an incredibly fair deal on top of everything else. You can tell that this man takes pride in what he does, and cares about his customers. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I wrote a review the other day about a new Dentist I found and how great he was. I also mentioned I never write a recommendation about anything but was so impressed… Once again I find myself compelled to write a review. I have been coming to Steve for the last 8+ years. I used to own a chain of Auto Leasing Companies that specialized in High Line cars like Mercedes and thought then I had a great mechanic. I was wrong. Steve is the smartest Mercedes Benz mechanic I have ever used. I know cars and have a reasonable understanding of mechanics that is why I am so blown away by Steve. He can almost just touch your car and tell you what is wrong and that is great, the only thing better than that is He can FIX IT TOO. Fast, Affordable, considerate and his knowledge is unequaled. Seriously people if you have a Mercedes or BMW as I have had both and you are having a service issue just go see Steve. It is impossible to go wrong he can fix anything and you don’t require a co-​signer to pay the bill when he is done… lol. Thank Steve. Gary

Steve is a genius, I have taken my jaguar to several places and I have more problems with my car after the fact.
I take it to Steve and he is the best of all, the problem is taken care of immediately, I promise never to go anywhere else, except the price, it is well worth your time and money.

Took my Honda in for general service. Steve was really nice and knowledgeable. He even took the time to explain some things and I walked away satisfied; with a clean car to boot (he had it washed without even asking and at no charge).
This place is going to cost more than some places. Steve doesn’t believe in using anything but the highest quality parts and the location is in a convenient location which means the rent is higher…
At any rate, I recommend taking your car here if you aren’t pinching every penny. It’s worth it for the quality you get.
