Worst sushi in town… Under staffed… Took for ever getting our order… We ended up canceling half the order. I also like to judge a restaurant on how clean the rest rooms are and they matched the poor service and quality of sushi… I can safely say we well never return…

My daughter was craving sushi so we decided to try Asakuma Rice. As we entered we sat ourselves, noticing one waiter available for service. I then noticed the waiter taking order for a couple that walked in after us… NOTCOOL, but I’m friendly so no big deal. We place our order and to my surprise the sushi chef brings my spicy tuna rolls because waiter is busy, that was nice and greatly appreciated however I needed to walk over to the sushi bar and ask for wasabi and ginger… NOT A BIGDEAL I CANUSETHEWALK I SUPPOSE, almost forgot I walked over to the table over to grab a plate, chop sticks & napkin uhhh so I can eat. Food was okay, prices were reasonable question is will I return? I think not. Customers first impression and service is vital for good business.

The food has gone so bad, as well as the service! I was there two days ago and they made me wait for an hour for my food. The food does not taste as good as it used to. This used to be my favorite place.

It was highly disorienting coming here as the business name isn’t, advertised anywhere in the restaurant. We got there just as they were getting ready for dinner so we had the place to ourselves during most of our meal. Servers were really nice. There’s zero wall art and they play top 40 music so the atmosphere isn’t very Japanese. The food was pretty good though and the happy hour prices were decent.

Solid food. Chill vibe. The chef made me what was not on the menu. Beer + 3 rolls for 20 bucks.

Everything in my previous review still applies except that, during my most recent experience here, the brilliant hostess let a couple with a dog eat indoors. Really personifies the type of employees this place hires – brainless. At one point they were feeding it from plates on the floor. Hilariously, when I went to complain to the manager on shift, I was informed there was nobody in a supervisory position in the entire restaurant. Explains a lot. This is a huge health and sanitary concern/violation… To be clear, THISISILLEGAL. If I didn’t enjoy the food here, I’d have called the health department immediately.

This is where I go locally now. Chef Fred is The Man! He is the most creative sushi chef I’ve experienced in a while. He’s presentation of sushi is an art form. The fish is fresh and the prices are Happy Hour prices everyday all day! They also deliver! Boom! See you soon

I am so disappointed in how this place has deteriorated in quality and service. The waiter couldn’t even explain the difference between White Tuna and Albacore but he said with a straight face that they were different kind of fish. No joke!(Are they not the same fish after all!??) Green tea wasn’t hot and Miso Soup was so salty and lukewarm I had to send it back. Fish on the sushi was limp and not fresh. Dynamite Rolls had so much mayo in the sauce it grossed me out. This place used to be so much better. I think that days are numbered at this restaurant.

First time there and I loved it. Had dieters health section shrimp and scallops with vegetables which was very fresh and delicious! Also had green salad no dressing side of lemons, perfect! Hubby however was very disappointed with his order of ribs which was cold inside, and chicken curry that was over salted and simply did not live up to a curry dish. Thanks for your menu choices that includes the healthy choice diet section! Weak server skills, must be a new girl. Hubby gives it three stars but it’s my review so giving it four.

Really good sushi for an affordable price. If Fred is at the sushi bar, make sure he makes your food!

We stopped coming because there are flies inside the restaurant. Probably because of a broken door in the back. I really like this spot, but I can’t do with the flies. Hopeful they fix it because I would like to go back.

Huge rolls! I’m having my favorites calamari tempura roll and Salmon tempura roll, son is having spicy tuna crunch roll and spicy salmon crunch. Their wait staff are wonderful, friendly faces and very attentive. I’m loving it here

It’s OKAY sushi, definitely not great sushi. Some of the sushi were falling apart. I tried the spicy tuna and it was mediocre Ramon was also okay. The meat and vegetables were on the bottom and I didn’t realize this till the end. Service was decent, however I came during lunch and it wasn’t too crowded. I recommend coming here for the lunch special

I went with a friend who ordered the lunch special with two rolls. He chose the yellowtail and the spicy tuna. He ate one piece each and pushed away his plate. I asked him why and he said he didn’t feel like how the rolls are. I tried the yellowtail and knew what he meant. The fish felt like they went through a blender! And didn’t taste or feel very fresh. When we asked the waiter to exchange it for a Chinese lunch combo instead, he came back to say the manager wouldn’t allow the exchange because the food was already prepared and they couldn’t resell it. Huh? The waiter tried explaining that all the fish was fresh and the cooks hand chop them. He was nice enough to take it off the bill because the manager seemed boorish. I gave the place three stars because my lunch was okay. I had the Chinese lunch special of shrimp in Schzechuan sauce. It was normal but the serving was enormous. Pretty filling. My friend ended up sharing with me because his food was a bust. He’s a semi-regular so was doubly disappointed with the quality of the rolls. I don’t think I’ll return.

I came here on a Monday night for my friends birthday. If I hadn’t been here a few times before and the experience been good I would have gave them 1 star. I especially like this place because they offer brown rice and not all sushi places do. When we walked into the restaurant there was only one other person who was already eating. The waitress came and got our drink orders and I asked about their happy hour menu. They had good deals on drinks however none of the appetizers were in the happy hour menu which was a little disappointing. I wanted the garlic edmame and it was $ 6. That’s not bad for an appetizer I’m just used to edmame being on the happy hour list at small sushi places like the one we were at, it’s usually $ 2.50. However that was the least of my concern. I ordered vegetable rolls with brown rice. Two minutes later they came out with white rice. They took them back to make them again. This time it took them over 20 minutes. It’s a vegetable roll and the restaurant is empty!!! Oh and they forgot to bring the edmame. I finally told the waitress and she said she would ask what was going on and she was sorry about the rolls. Later she said the chef wasn’t there yet so that’s why the edmame wasn’t out yet, 30 minutes later! Huh, you have been open for hours, how is the chef not there yet. We were still hungry and I ordered another set of vegetables rolls. We figured it took them all that time to make the brown rice so this time they should be faster. By this time there was three other people in the restaurant. Unfortunately these rolls took almost 30 minutes. I would have left but it was my friends birthday and she was enjoying drinking and didn’t care about the food. Her food had come out pretty fast. She ordered a spicy tuna roll and a California roll. When I told them to cancel my order they said it was coming right now. During this time there was three other people in the restaurant and they already got their food! Also when I received my vegetables rolls they looked thrown together. Look at the picture. They had a whole 30 minutes to make them. On top of all this the waitress never told my friend Happy Birthday when I said it was her birthday or anyone else. Once we asked for the check two hours later, they brought out a dessert(whip cream and mochi balls). Usually they ask what is her name before they sing, but they did a horrible job with one of the three of them barely singing and of course didn’t say her name since they didn’t know it. Lastly our bill was almost $ 50! For some vegetables rolls, 2 orders of one hand roll, edmame, beer and saki during happy hour! The funny thing was they knew we were unsatisfied and didn’t seem to care, so that’s why sadly, I won’t be back!
