Hands down my favorite pizza place in LA. The flatbread style with their unique ingredient combinations makes this my go-to pizza place. It’s been great to see them catering more and more events(I’ve seen them at a few fundraisers and weddings that I’ve been to). Also went to a baby shower hosted there. The pizza di erba is a must try. Especially if you like more mediterranean flavors. The Cucina Bene Pizza with the avocados is also really good. Favorite fish dish is the salmon with the pomegranate. I get that almost every time I’m there on top of the pizzas.

I work as a flight attendant and saw good reviews. I called in for a take out order and the lady who answered had some attitude when I asked for the noodles to be al dente and the sauce on the side and wouldn’t repeat the order back and said, «exactly how you said it.» Once I got it back to the airport, the noodles were next to soggy(15 minute drive). With limited time, I am left with no options and will not be back or recommend this place to anyone. I called back to inform them and was told, I’m sorry in a way that sounded like they didn’t care.

Cucina bene has been a special place in our heart. Me and my husband have been coming here before we became husband and wife. Its the place that witnessed the history of our love story. During our second visit, believe it or not, a nice gentleman actually covered our bill because he said my husband(then boyfriend) and I looked very lovely together. We thanked the anonymous gentleman a lot and we still thought that experience was magical! The restaurant Is beautiful, humbly sparking, and always welcoming. The price is reasonable and the food is extremely tasty. We will keep coming back!

In LA for a graduation and attended a group event at Cucina Bene. The back room is a perfect room to host groups and we had about 50 in our group. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but a little unorganized… understandable given that we had a group of 50. We were served flatbreads/pizzas as appetizers and loved the thin crust. The salads were unfortunately very bland and lacked flavour. We had 3 options for the main and I sampled both the fish and the chicken. The fish was cooked perfectly but the chicken was overcooked and too salty. Still a very positive experience and thanks Cucina Bene for accommodating the graduation party.

Really good food. Have been here several times and everything has been consistent. They have an extensive menu for dinner and dessert. Have tried the pizza, Alfredo, veal Milanese, eggplant parm, New York steak(they have overcooked twice now, I asked for medium and it came out well done both times), Caesar salad, cappuccinos, and coconut shrimp. Spot on flavors. Service is good as well. Free parking and metered parking. For free, go all the way to the back, past the restaurant. Don’t get full of the garlic knots, just have one. They are really good though. Lunch hours can be inconsistent.

Maybe this was on off day, maybe hosting large groups isn’t their thing, maybe Mars was in retrograde. Either way I wasn’t really pleased with Cucina Bene. Parking was a bitch which immediately rubbed me the wrong way. Arrived for a work luncheon of about 15 or so of us. We had the private room in the back. There was another large party occupying the main dining area with a group of maybe 20 – 25 people. Between both large groups, there was only 4 servers including the owner?/manager?. Why would a restaurant double book 2 groups of that size without enough staff!!! There was no host at all to greet or direct me where to go or which party was mine, it took a while to get even water, and I felt rushed to order my food without enough time to look over the menu options. I will say, the food was good which was the saving grace. I’d come back again(in a much smaller party!) and hope for a better overall experience.

Don’t be fooled by how this restaurant is always(seemingly) empty… it’s not! People are just seated in a cute little back area filled with pretty lights. My mom and I came here on a random Wednesday night to satisfy a pasta craving. So happy we did! Food is good, atmosphere is great, and parking is not a hassle at all. The only reason I’m docking a star is for service, which wasn’t horrible but also not the best. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and tasty… got our appetites right open! Next, we got the Penne Vodka and Pollo Cucina Bene to share — both delicious, well cooked, and flavorful with great plating/presentation. I also really appreciated the restaurant accommodating our request to pre-split everything in two, which made things so much easier for us. Last, we finished off with dessert, and since my mom and I are indecisive with major sweet tooth, we ended up with three! They were the Bomba Gelato, Chocolate Truffle, and Chocolate Hazelnut Flute. So much YES! I highly recommend all for very different but equally scrumptious flavor profiles. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This is one of the last family owned restaurants you can find that is actually worth going to. CB is located right on Sepulveda close to Ventura blvd. Very busy area but the place isn’t hard to find since you can see the lights from the 405 freeway! The service is the only thing that because a downside only cause it seemed they are understaffed but what can you do? THEFOODISSTILLAMAZING! The items are unique, they all have a Mediterranean fusion in some way but oh boy was it all delicious! We started with the tradition margherita pizza which is to die for! I ordered the Chilean Seabass that came over a red pasta– at first I was a bit iffy about ordering this just cause it was a red sauce but OMG when i took a bite I get why my server recommend it. with all the ingredients put together it just gives your mouth an experience you don’t want to end. My boyfriend ordered the nostro salmon, a very unique dish that comes with a pomegranate glaze. He loved it. We plan to come back just to try everything on the menu!

Disappointed. First, it can be hard to find, and to find parking. Should you be interested to go, parking can be found in the road where Public House has a structure, but behind the shops on the opposite side(behind Cucina Bene). Drive all the way to the back of that open parking and you’ll find a few free spots set for Cucina Bene. We saw the photos and the inside of the location looks great. It’s nicely tucked away and cosy. Good for a short romantic evening. The servers were warm and friendly. The appetizer was great and tasted like someone’s Italian mum made it. However, the mains and even the hospitality bread felt like they were bought from a store and warmed up. It wasn’t encouraging. The pasta tasted chalky, like it was either cooked way earlier that day and not preserved well before re-heating… The deserts which were ice cream-like, served in a glass with whipped cream on top… came out with freezer burn on the whipped cream. We sent those back and the server apologized that their fridge was on the fritz and refunded the food. Thing is, this shouldn’t be considered as food worthy of serving to a paying customer. Freezer burn on a whipped cream top of a desert isn’t something I’d eat at home in my underpants on a lazy night. I hope it was just an off night and they get on top of this, but if not for the server, location, and delicious starter, I’d leave this as a one-star.

Wonderful! I shared a number of salads, pastas, and pizzas… everything was really good. Great design of the restaurant. There’s parking in the back, some spots are free and some you have to pay for. It’s right next to the 101⁄405 entrance.

Let’s just say the owner is the reason we aren’t returning back. A party of us(5) came to try the food and perhaps hire them for catering. The owner came over to answer our«questions», was so rude with his ANSWER. He did not even ask us if he answered all of our questions. Just walked off. Great way to treat new customers and potential $ 2k for a party. All 5 of us were so disappointed. His own employees had a lot to say about the«disorganized» restaurant. We watched a couple walk in after us and left after 10 minutes upset and angry.

Good solid Italian Food. Cucina Bene is a nice spot right near the the San Diego and Ventura Freeways. I shared a Antipasto Salad which was great. The pasta was fresh. The bottom line is I will be back.

We came here for dinner to taste some of their pizza because they are catering a family party. The parkin situation is a little weird and you have to enter through the rear closer to Ventura. As for the ambiance and food it’s pretty good. We ordered a pizza, chicken piccata and also veal. All were good and I will for sure come back if given the opportunity. The dessert menu is pretty cool as well.

This evening I had to experience to do take out. I ordered a seafood linguine and it was amazing! I spoke with the owner Barry and he delivered the food himself. I work near by for the Courtyard by Marriott and we are familiar with the local restaurants around. Anytime anyone asks for a good recommendation for Italian food that is the spot we recommend! Cute place and very friendly staff. Very authentic!

Great traditional Italian cuisine and beautiful atmosphere! I had the Nostro Salmone with pasta marinara. The salmon was tasty but rather dry. The pomegranate nuggets added an exotic flavor but were difficult to chew. The pasta marinara side however was excellent! The Bomba vanilla and chocolate gelato dessert was decadent and BIG! Best shared between four people.

Great food, Beautiful and friendly service. We came along with friends, they are frequent customers and recommended to try the penne funghi, the flat pizza(with feta, herbs and walnuts) and an amazing truffle ice cream. Delicious! I was so full with the salad and the flat bread that i had to take the penne funghi home, so it will be tomorrow’s lunch :) The wine was amazing! If you are in the area looking for a good italian place to eat, stop by! It will be a great decision!

The flat pizzas were Excellent. We order the avocado one, this was definitely my favorite. We also had an amazing wine I totally recommend: Sangiovese. Totally worth every penny. Greate service just like family.

Love the place! First-the general vibe is great-its a very cozy restaurant to go on a date, or a family dinner. Not a full bar, but the basics are there, and they have a pretty nice selection of wines. As far as the food goes– Fantastic! Service is good too, so i would definateltly recommend the place!
