This place is pretty amazing and for all you can eat it is good but when you order the dinner special it comes with an appetizer and both times that i’ve gone they are so plain and not that good, as for the ayce ITISTODIEFOR! Definitely a place to try!:D

Since my favorite Mongolian BBQ place closed in Westwood, I had to find another place to satisfy my Mongolian urges… a friend suggested this place because they have«all you can eat» options as well. OMG. Who can eat more? I certainly couldn’t, and I eat a lot!!! They start off by giving you TWOBOWLS… one for the meat, the other for the veggies you want… and then you add your sauces. There is a list there… with suggestions. USEIT. Do not skimp. I thought to myself… that sounds like a lot, and I put one less scoop of soy sauce… mistake. Do what it says and it’ll come out delicious! I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was nice… the food fresh and delicious, the staff very accommodating, and you also get(for lunch) soup, egg rolls, and rice!!! Way too much food! This is my new favorite. It’s on my list of keepers. Try it!

I’ve been here several times over the years. After reading the recent reviews, I was skeptical. I walked in the door for lunch, and saw the menu sitting at the front as I waited for someone to greet me. Apparently now you choose ONE meat, they bring it to you, then they give you another bowl to fill with your veggies. Clearly they don’t trust people enough to let them choose all of their food like every other Mongolian barbecue I’ve ever been to. Treat all your customers like lowlife even before you serve them. I turned around and walked out the door. I drove 2 miles to Fresh Mongolian BBQ on Burbank Bl. Small place, but they do it right, and treat you right. The guy even asks if you want more meat! Someone needs to tell them to read the reviews.

Pretty good spot. I do like how they cook for you and you choose how much food you will get to eat.

This place is bomb. I’ve been coming here for years. Dinner is all you can eat and they have great appetizers too. I’m not sure if the place was purchased but they recently remodeled. Still the same great food though.

Walked in last week, and I’ve known there were new owners for about 6 months now. But the menu was the same, so everything was groovy. After all, I’ve been coming here since I was about 12 years old –I’m 45 now – and expect the same deliciousness every time. Anyway, I walked in this time and everything was different – not a bad thing – the scenery is much improved. Sadly, they put before me their new first course entrée soup and it wasn’t the same. I asked to have my usual soup and they said they no longer served it there. I pushed my chair out, summarily withdrew the napkin from myself and placed it on the table and excused myself to… I don’t know… McDonalds for all I cared at that moment. For anything was better than having been subjected to such a disappointment after what? 35 years of awesomeness. In all fairness, I did not even give that place a chance. But in all fairness, why shouldI be be expectedto if the first thing they put in front of me is an unlikeable and unexchangeable strange milky colored boullaibaisse? No. After 35 years… I have to sadly pound in yet another San Fernando Valley gravestone into yet another lost former treasure.

I’ve been coming to this place for at least 20 years, and it is my favorite Mongolian place ever. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very clean, very fresh, delicious. I highly recommend Mogo’s!

I love Mongolian BBQ, and tgis place is walking distance from me, but I will never go to Mogo again. I just had one of the worst dining experiences ever at this place. What should have been a great night out with friends, turned into a terrible one. To start, everyone wanted waters, our drink order was taken by the male server(there was one male and one female and that’s it), and never fulfilled. 10 minuted later, the female server took our drink order and we finally got them. When our appetizers came out, I ordered cream cheese wontons, I was very excited. They are my favorite things ever, and I had heard the ones at Mogo were spot on. Not so much. I took a bite, savoring the sweet creamy flavor, and chewed and chewed and chewed. Something seemed off, so I pulled the chewy part out of my mouth to find a large piece of plastic; about the size of a quarter. No joke. When the female waitress came back to our table, I let her know. She responded«Sorry» and took the bad wonton, and the 2 others in the appetizer, from the table. I was hungry, so I went to make my plate. Here’s why I gave Mogo 2 stars instead of just one. The BBQ was really good. But all that food came from the same kitchen as the wontons, so I’m not sure how sanitary it all is. When we completed our meal, we were presented with our ice cream and the check. It appeared that one of the adult meals had been taken off of the bill. I was so happy thay they had acknowledged their mistake with the plastic and tried to make it right; doing something more than a simple«Sorry.» We split the bill with our friends and offered up our cards to the male server. When he returned, he let us know that he had dropped the wrong check… and charged my card for our tables amount… BEFORE letting me know about the mistake!!! What the hell. They hadn’t done anything with my meal(not even a discounted rate since I didn’t eat a single wonton), and because we weren’t sure about the kid’s meals, I ended up paying a portion of my friend’s bill because we weren’t notified of the differences before our cards were run. I don’t recommend going here. In the future I’ll just go to Great Khan’s in the mall. Tastes just as good for a fraction of the cost and zero headache!

I was already a huge fan of Mogo when it was just Mongolian buffet, but now with new owners coming in, it just got better! You have the option of all you can eat Mongolian buffet which is always good, and the delicious options of Le Chine Wok all in one location. Last time I went I wanted to try some of the newer options on the menu– the Basil Eggplant(we added beef) was very interesting and subtle. Their popular Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Fish were delicious as well. Will definitely go again!

I’d wanted to try this place for a long time, and today, since it was only 104 degrees, it seemed like the perfect time(no, it makes no sense, but that doesn’t matter). Went for lunch and there are three main choices, each give you a bowl of finely shaved meat(beef, chicken, pork and tofu, which isn’t technically a meat, but it is the meat of the soy bean). Then you get a bowl of your choice of vegetables(and pineapple!!!) and sauces. The meat is all extremely lean, and the vegetable choices are fresh and good(and pineapple!). Then there are several varieties of soy, teriyaki(inc. low sodium), sesame oil, sweet water, lemon water, and finely chopped garlic! You fill your bowl and give it to the chef at the BBQ. It’s theater to watch him work, and he wields his spatula like a gong, creating cool chimes. Cooking takes only a minute or two, and then you have a huge portion to take back to your table, where either white or fried rice await you(and egg rolls, potstickers and others if you choose). It’s a nice place, and the quality of the food is very high. Being able to make just the kind of sauce you want means you can get it just the way you like it(pineapple!). Lunch runs from $ 8-$ 10 and portions are generous so you may very well take half of it home. I really enjoyed Mogo’s and will be back!

Wow! Mogo’s is even better! They’ve enhanced the menu by including favorites from Le Chine Wok including the addictive chicken wings. My new favorite dish and addiction is the kung pao fish. Also, they have included more variety for Mongolian BBQ by having four types of tofu and even KALE! My picky two year old even fell in love with broccoli there. Mary is also the sweetest and my daughter even gave her a hug on the way out. Go to Mogo’s and check it out for yourself.

This restaurants offered us the two best options. My husband had been wanting to find a mongolian restaurant and I was craving chinese food. The family and I came here this past weekend(with 2 kids). The restaurant is very family friendly and offers a lot of options, especially for my picky eaters. Mongolian BBQ –I love that I can get 2 bowls to fill up without any restrictions. The meat selection is quite large(from beef, pork, chicken, lamb) and they have 4 types of tofu as well. I loved making my own concoction with the different sauces(soy sauce, terriyaki, curry, sesame). I’m so glad that they added Chinese food to the mix. My favorites, in no particular order are the: Soft shell crab — mouth-wateringly delicious. The crab is perfectly cooked and seasoned with salt, garlic and jalapenos. Kung pao fish — First time I had this dish and it was just delicious. The fish(basa) was tender and I would definitely order this dish again. Cilantro chicken — The cilanto adds a great refreshing flavor to the chicken. The chicken wings are addictive and definitely the crowd pleaser. The kids(big and little) loved the potstickers and the fried won tons with cream cheese. I can’t wait to go back again and try additional items on the menu. So glad that they have take out now too.

I have never ordered from this place before. I order safe in those cases… Chicken & String Beans, Steamed Chicken Dumplings and Chicken Egg Rolls. It was ALLBAD… First off, I eat the egg rolls and dumplings right away. The egg rolls were hard to eat. They were crunchy on the outside but then very chewy somewhere in the skin area so I had to pretty much combat chew to get the egg roll to break. #gross Secondly, I tried the steamed dumplings. They were overcooked so badly that the insides were hard and rather dry with a funny taste to them, soy sauce wouldn’t even help. Then after that, I take the chicken and green beans to work with me, I just opened it and it’s JUSTBEANS… smh Are you serious??? I will NEVER order here again… wasted $ 24. I say $ 24 because I didn’t tip the delivery driver since he spoke no english and rudely stood there grunting at me with his hand extended.

I have been coming to Mogo for a very long time. I don’t go as often as I used to but last night my dad and I decided to have dinner there. For anyone who hasn’t been before there are waiters but they only bring drinks, appetizers and rice both which are included in the meal. Last night was fairly busy but the service was the worst I had ever experienced. It took 45 minutes for us to get rice, RICE! I mean that is already made. I had to ask for a water refill at least three times and it took forever to get the check. The table sitting next to us ordered from their Chinese menu and waited over 30 minutes to receive any food and when the waiter brought over their food his phone rang and he put down their food to answer. For the service alone, I don’t know if I would EVER go back.

Who doesn’t love customizing their own Mongolian dish?! This place is easy, fresh, affordable, and you can control portion size. I like coming here for their lunch specials. Your order comes with soup, salad, and wonton wraps. Once you get your bowl, you can serve yourself at the bar and pick from their large variety of toppings and sauces, then they cook your food right infront you! The service is quick and food gets cooked pretty quickly, too. Don’t forget to tip your cook!

We came here for a Sunday dinner and now they have Chinese food! So you can opt to go for the All you can Eat Mongolian BBQ and or have tasty Chinese food! Tonight, we opted for Chinese food and our group ordered an array to sample the menu. The Handmade chicken potstickers were doughy and fluffy, not your typical thin wonton skins. The ground chicken was VERY tasty. It comes with dipping sauce, but you can also ask for the chili sauce and soy sauce. We also tried the Spicy Honey Riblets,(8 pieces) $ 5.99, which I LOVED. These were so tender and tasty! I could of had all 8 pieces to myself! Be careful of some bones on these ribs, however the meat is so tender, it slides off. The next dish was Southern Spicy Shrimp with jalapeño pepper slices and raw onions. I love, love, love this dish because there is something about the combination of the onions, jalapenos which gives a nice kick to the shrimp. It’s still not overly hot spicy either. If you like shrimp, order this dish! The softshell crab is truly a special dish for me because I don’t know how to make this at home. You eat the entire crab so easily and each bite is crunchy soft, with a nice flavor. I don’t know what the chef puts in all these different dishes, but everything tastes unique with a wonderful flavor and aroma. We decided to order some greens to go along with our dinner and so we ordered the 4 Green delight: String Bean, Spinach, Broccoli and Snow Pea. and our dish also came with baby bokchoy. This vegetable sauteed dish was cooked so the vegetables still have a crunch. We decided to try the Kung Pao Fish! This is a spin on the Kung Pao Chicken The fish is in small portions, breaded and fried, I think. I couldn’t tell, because it tasted so good. Then we tried the Beijing Pork which comes with mu shuu pancakes. HEAVEN! The last dish was Chicken Chow Fun because one always needs a noodle dish when eating Chinese food. This was a nice complement for all the above meat and fish dishes. Finally, we were stuffed and had ice cream for dessert! I ordered the Green Tea and the others, coconut, pineapple, chocolate and sherbet. I highly recommend checking out the Chinese menu when coming to Mogo’s. This is one of the Best Chinese food I have had in a long time. Each dish carries its own flavor which is unique. Many other Chinese restaurants, the food all tastes the same, but not here at Mogos Chinese and Mongolian!!! Check out all my photos of each dish I described. My favorite dishes were the softshell crab, Southern Spicy Shrimp, and the Beiijing Pork!

Loving this new place! Found it serendipitously. Fate needed a cold night, rare in Southern California, and a lack of suitable parking, not rare in Southern California, to make us seek refuge in the nearest open restaurant. Thank you Fates! Love it! Will come back to play with all these yummy ingredients.

UPDATE: With its new ownership it is not nearly as good as it used to be… Soo good! I always get beef, pasta, onion, lots of cabbage, mushrooms, soy sauce, curry sauce, lots of chili oil, lemon water, 1 scoop of minced garlic, a pinch of sesame seeds after its cooked, and probably more. It is so good, the soup is amazing with the crunchy sticks and peas and carrot and egg. The egg rolls have got to be the best around, it’s very crispy battered and flavorful with hot mustard. You’ll be wishing you had more that next day. My complaint though is the new ownership, the friendly employees that knew us are now gone and the food has changed slightly, but overall it’s still great. If we bring our friends here, no one understands how to make the bbq and think it tastes bad… It is so amazing, they just don’t know what to get or just get pasta and soy sauce, so of course it wouldn’t be that good. Love this place, keep up the amazing work!

A Great Meal ;) 2 Bowls and I’m stuffed:! New owners I guess and everything was great except it seemed like there was only 1 cook so the line around the food bar got really long at times on Sunday nite. That’s ok with us cause we just sit and enjoy the show of people making there bowls up:)) It’s a funny sight. I made Perfect Bowls and I was in Heaven Thank You Mogo’s :) Aloha
