Shapes Brow Bar

It’s really hit or miss but mostly miss lately. I got cut on both eyelids today by Harriet Apelian and she blamed me and they still charged me full price. Great job girls!
Customer service sucks here. They don’t smile and just don’t give a shit especially if ur not Armenian or some type of.
I also, after pointing out what else needed to be done on my eyebrows, still had to go home and finish them.
This place has really disappointed me and I will make sure to let my friends and family know NOT to go here again till they make some policy changes for the customer.
People that don’t care about the customer or their job shouldn’t be working. Especially when working on someone’s face!

One of the worst eye brow jobs I’ve ever gotten. The girl was talking and laughing the whole time and I didn’t much of it at the time. I wear glasses so I can’t really see, I was also really tired so I just payed and left. I’m now home and I’m really upset that I payed $ 12 and gave her a &3 dollar tip for this. I said phish clean and simple, maybe a little shape. My eyebrows are not this short or thin!!!

I just got my eyebrows done upstairs. (Wont say names). But by far the rudest lady. Acted like my eyebrows were a disaster, complete rude B&itch about it. She was cold and had an attitude to her. My point is greet your damn costumers genuinely kind. FYI not like her eyebrows were any better (ugly tattoo job)
Rather stick to the people I know that wrk downstairs !

I would give this 0 stars if I could but because the brow job was alright and convenient — I’ll rate 2 stars. A little less than a year ago, I signed up for the monthly membership package for a 1 year contract and loved knowing that I wouldn’t have to bother with swiping my card every time I came to get my eyebrows threaded (I purchased the brow and lip packed that goes for $ 15.99) the brow life was a breeze. Two months ago in November of 2015, I decided to grow out my brows and cancel my membership. I called up their customer help line and requested to end my membership and the operated did so. Little did I know that I would be plagued with reoccurring charges of $ 15.99 STILL even two months after I canceled it! On top of that, I was charged double ($ 32.00 total) while I still had my membership active for October and November of 2015 and had no idea up until I canceled it. The operator refunded me for the double charges and closed my account. I know $ 15.99 is not much for a membership but being charged double here and there can definitely add up so, I suggest you periodically check your bank accounts to make sure this headache does not happen to you (every refund takes 5 business days to go back into your bank) the real question is – how on earth can you take the money out of my account so fast and then when the time comes to refund me for a mistake the company made, I have to wait a week to get it back?! Lol. All jokes aside, SHAPES has wasted so much of my time and have distracted me from my creative process (Kanye pun intended), countless times and they need to get it together. So fast forward to January 19, 2015, SHAPES charged me yet again and I called up one of their operators to calmly let them know what was going on and expressed how I need to be refunded, and how can we put an end to this ongoing problem. His reply was «mam, I am sorry for the inconvenience, we will refund $ 15.99 back to you in 5 business days» cool, right? But imagine hearing this once a month for the last 4 months and then finishes the call with «You might get charged again next month because that is when our systems can permanently close your account» WOW. So 7 days go by and guess what? No refund has been made to my bank account. I called them today and asked them if they were still processing my refund. After waiting what it felt like eternity on hold, the operator says that a refund was never processed and if he could have my bank details again. This was the last and final straw. As soon as these people refund me my money I will have to go into my bank and ask them to block this company from deducting funds from my account. What a pain! Goodbye forever SHAPES brow bar, never again.

Hmmm… where to begin? So my eyebrows never really look good. I used to wax but it’s hard to get a good shape with waxing. There is more control of how your brows look with threading.
It’s hard to find a good threading place because people sometimes do not shape my eyebrows that well. Most people leave it square shaped, which I hate. I’m coming to shapes for a reason because square is not a shape I want. Luckily, here they do their best and while some people here do them better than others, I never truly hate the end result. They usually are able to thin them out and if I’m lucky I get that arch I’m looking for.
I have tried to maintain my own eyebrows at home, but I can never really get it even on both sides. Coming here is convenient and the holiday gift card sale is always a really good thing.
Maybe in the future I’ll think about getting a membership, but for now I just do it one threading at a time.

I visited the downstairs location (the kiosk one). I have been here quite often, but the last time I went, the staff ignored me until I finally asked if I could sign in to be seen. She just said, «No.» She gave no explanation, but I asked if they were closed and she also said no. In about ten minutes they would be closing, I gathered, but the whole thing left a really bad impression.

I went to the upstairs location in the mall for the 1^st time and was a bit hesitant because the last time I visited shapes the customer service in the downstairs wasn’t pleasant at all… I decided I’d still give them a chance and I wish I didn’t. I let my eyebrows grow in for like a month and a half after last times experience so I can get a nice full and even shape, I had explained to the lady this and that I wanted them to be even and she cut me off halfway and just said «ok»… I should’ve known there to not let her touch my eyebrows. She left them THINNER AND UNEVEN AND PATCHY! I didn’t realize this until I got home because she fucking used brow powder without me knowing. I wish I never went and don’t plan on ever returning and regret tipping her. The receptionist chuck was also rude af.

JENNY JENNY JENNY ! don’t ask for anyone else. She’s been keeping my eyebrows perfect for the last 3 years. I would highly recommend buying the 3
Month unlimited eyebrow membership for only $ 45.

I have spindly, blonde, scarecrow eyebrows and the staff work magic on me.
Seriously, I walk in, point to some woman with gorgeous black arcs and say, «I want to look like that,» they chuckle at me and then zip! zip! zip! I look 100% better. Not sure how. I think they give my eyebrows a «crew cut» to make they look thicker and fuller. Anyway, if you want quick, clean, friendly, brow experts to handle your sorry-​looking pale brows like mine, go to Shapes and let them fix you.

I come here every time I come to the mall and never had a complaint on service. Every time the ladies always clean up my brows nicely and never trim or thread too much. Always clean and well organized. I just don’t like that they push buying the packages and I can understand because management is probably pushing them to meet quotas.

I came here on a whim. I don’t know how to do my own brows so I decided to get them done here.
They do the threading technique so it sounds funny when they are shaping the brows. I came near closing after I had finished shopping. The lady who did my browser was prompt and even filled them in when done. I felt like a new person. It wasn’t expensive either. It was like $ 12? For the fast experience, I gave a generous tip. I’ll be back when my eyebrows aren’t manageable.

I walked upstairs at 8:35 and before I even walked into the brow bar the lady shoos me away. «No more eyebrows we are closed.» I tell her that it’s barely 8:35 and that I just got off work (I work down the street.) She takes one look at me repeats that they are closed and that I can try downstairs but that they might be busy also.
Now, I’ve been here before three times before that and I’ve been satisfied with their service so I walk downstairs and sign up. They took me in with no hesitation even if they had people already waiting. I guess what I’m trying to get at with my review is that yes most of them are very great at what they do but they can definitely use some improvement with their customer service.
On a side note I don’t know why I hadn’t been at the kiosk before. I didn’t get her name but the woman who worked on me did such an amazing job! And she was so sweet.

I read other reviews & have experienced it myself on the low level of customer service you get when you come here
BUT ASK for VICKY (Vickie?) !!! She’s amazing, sweet and most of all is all about your satisfaction! She has the customer service you deserve! I love VICKY (Vickie) !!
She out of town on vacation for the next two weeks But she’s the freaking best! Man!

Fucking lady fucked my eyebrows up i told her CLEAN UP and she made one shorter and tried to tell me it was my eyebrows!!! No bitch i know what i came in looking like!!! Furious!!!

I think sometimes Shapes is a hit and a miss. I’ve only been twice — the first time I really liked my brows. Second time, ehhhh not so much. Actually the first time I left and had to tell myself «they’ll grow back, Jess».
They’re cheap, convenient, and quick. Not my first choice (I still prefer WOW in Culver City or Van Nuys), but I’d probably pay attention to which threaders do better work and try to plan in advance to get them. :-/

Alina. Seriously hers is really the only name you need to know if you want amazing eyebrows. I have never had symmetrical brow shapes but Alina threads them beautifully.
I request Alina to do my brows because after going by her for only two times consecutively, she knows how even a small pluck can change my look completely. It’s her detail-​oriented skill that I appreciate the most.
Aside from her amazing technique, she treats me with such kindness that I get excited to get my brows done by her. Very warm and friendly — an incredibly sweet woman!

Janet is an amazing threader, she finished my eyebrows perfectly. I love her, and my eyebrows!
Everything’s great here. The service was fast, the employees were so sweet, and were happy to be there, plus the prices were pretty good for a brow bar.

If I where to recommend someone it would be JENNY! She’s Wonderful. Always kind, always fair to any customers waiting in line. Always respectful and THE BIGGEST SWEETHEART!
Anyway I like to purchase my packages that include unlimited threading for 6 months!
It’s worth it if you find someone you like there. Just know who you are going to some of them are not very good. But that’s all open to opinion! Enjoy!
