As we all must do every 2 years for our Cali registration it was time for my SMOG check. Did a Unilocal search & found Smog Stop less than a mile from my home. Popped in without an appointment & was in and out in under 15 mins!!! Amazing! Friendly staff. Fair pricing! A+++ Thanks Arthur!

I had an excellent experience, which I was especially grateful for after a not so great experience at another smog check company a few years ago. I called ahead and was told they weren’t busy, and when I pulled up he took me right away. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. My auto mechanic recommended this place to me and now I will recommend it to all of my friends. I will definitely be back.

Great fast efficient service I came in around 2 PM on a Friday afternoon and was out within less than 10 minutes. The owner was very cool and friendly I definitely recommend coming here if you need a quick smog check in Sherman Oaks/​Studio City area.

Don’t go here. Called him and he said come on over, then when we got there he said he would not smog check our car. Not friendly, not a good experience. Expensive too. You can find better elsewhere.

Bait & Switch. I should have called ahead. The «$ 29.75 Most Cars» wasn’t even close. Try $ 70 for a minivan. It’s a good thing my car passed because I am positive her would have socked it to me again for a re-​test. First and last time at this joint.

Recently moved to California from Indiana. Never knew I had to get a smog check. So many places around Sherman Oaks will charge anywhere between $ 70 – 80. Smog Stop is the only place that gave me a reasonable price. The owner is incredibly friendly, even though I stopped in 15 minutes before closing time. I will definitely recommend friends and family to get their car checked here.

Art, the proprietor, was über quick, competent, professional, and friendly. I brought my car in and the whole thing took about fifteen minutes. My husband needed his car to be smog checked so we went in together the next day and his time was even shorter — about ten minutes. Good, friendly, professional service — what more could you ask for?

This review is way overdue! I have gotten my smog check here the last two times I needed one, and it is so easy and pleasant. The people who work here are warm and welcoming, and make the whole process so simple. When I mentioned that I needed to mail my proof or smog check to the DMV, the Smog Stop technician (wish I knew his name!) actually started fishing around for a stamp for me! Thank you, Smog Stop. I no longer get bummed when I get a smog check directive from the DMV!

Arthur Arthur Arthur He is such a good man! My Bimmer didn’t pass the smog when I had brought it in, apparently for 2 reasons. I know he felt me panicking, because, well I was. He looked at me and said «ok bring it back in the morning. I’ll see if I can fix it. The moment he said «let me see what I can do» made feel so much better. I knew he meant it. He was able to partially fix it and referred me to where to bring it for the other issue. They fixed it in no time and for practically nothing. He didn’t charge me for a recheck and he gave me a better deal than I had anticipated. Good Customer Service, as well as a business you can trust is everything to me. Thank you Arthur!

In and out quick, but I thought it was a bit overpriced. I was originally quoted $ 59, but then $ 69 because my car is older than 1996. However, the gentleman was kind and went back down to $ 59.

Time to renew the car registration again and it was the every other year, hey you need a smog check or else according to the DMV. So off I went to visit Arthur at Smog Stop. This painful experience turned into a not so painful experience, but a pleasure. It took all of 10 minutes and I was on my way. If you are in need of a smog check, this is the place. Arthur you rock!
