Take Ten Deli

Not sure why I have avoided this place, oh yeah, the last time I was here it took about 20 minutes, so why was it named take ten?
I came here more as a convenience, but this time the service was quicker, yes, more like 10 minutes.
I had the soup and sandwich, both were good. I would come here again when the opportunity comes up.

Normally LOVE Take Ten Deli but a few days ago I was shocked to find a hair wrapped in my friends breakfast burrito. I know these guys are great but it was disgusting so I’m not sure if we would order from here again. So sad because we used to eat here at least once a week.

Haven’t given a review to my favorite lunch place but here I go, it’s super chill and the staff is nice. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THEIR LUNCH SPECIAL THOUGH!

Excellent food and service the eggs are always fresh the street and meet quite delicious I would recommend this place to anyone anytime and we wish it was open on the weekends as well Sam the owner is a very nice man

The worst 10 $ chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had It was dry and flavorless & even the pickle that came with the sandwich was bad. Don’t waste your money here!

We used to order from them frequently and now we will have to think again; they offer an Eat24 option from their site to order online and we selected DELIVERY. We did not receive a confirmation so I called and the girl who answered COULD HAVE confirmed our order to state there was a problem but did not; all she indicated was that it was going out in 15 – 20 minutes. 45 minutes later we still don’t have our order; I called again and now she states this was for PICKUP. I told her it was for delivery and she said it would go out in 15 minutes…30 minutes later we still don’t have our food and I’ve lost my appetite as well as my interest in this joint.
Sorry Sam… your girl ruined it for us!

I had to update my rating. I think I finally figured out what to order here. I can really only get one thing, and that is the turkey sandwich on croissant bread. It was actually pretty great. And the fries that came along with it totally made up for a few of the bad experiences I had before. And the reason it jumped up so high for me is because the food finally was really good :) I wouldn’t go here unless the office was ordering, but I for sure will now order a meal without hesitation if we do order from them.

My work has ordered from this place a few times and nothing I’ve ever ordered was remotely close to being edible. I’ve tried their triple decker, patty melt, and sausage & eggs and on every occasion I ended up throwing the food out. All of the ingredients they use in their sandwiches taste low quality, and they must use a stick of butter to cook the hash browns that come with the breakfast plate. I’m not really sure how this place stays in business with food this bad. I really wanted to like this place because it is so close to the office and I was willing to give them a second, and even third, try but I can’t find it in me to go back a fourth time. I don’t care how reasonably priced or convenient it is, I can’t tolerate the low quality ingredients and poorly cooked food this produces.

Best breakfast burrito in town! Sam is the man! This is the place where everyone knows your name and your order. Great little spot in the community. Great tasting food and fast service!

Just ordered for the first time and even though it took lil longer then the 45min suggested delivery on eat24 the food vans hot and yummy!!! Nice amount of lox on my bagel and overall taste like home cooked breakfast!!! Very happy

Came across this place while driving down Ventura and stopped in to pick up some breakfast. Ordered their breakfast burrito. Tasted OK. I’ve had better breakfast burritos but it was a pretty good size. Took a while for my order to be ready. Was getting a little impatient as I was running behind schedule. Did not think it would take that long.

First of all DELICIOUS food and burgers really taste as if they are your own home made! Nice spot right on Ventura and very local for businesses around since this is usually open for breakfast and close early after lunch, not open on weekends. I recommend calling and ordering over the phone since they take calls much quicker, because their only downside is line can be long or the wait during when lunch time hits!

By far the worst lunch I have ever had I specifically order my sandwich with no mustard and came with mustard and not only that I paid extra $ for bacon to be added to the sandwich to find only one piece of it in it? Then why you charging me

Fresh. I asked for condiments on the side and where missing on top of this I had tipped the delivery person to find all this out after. Remind to not order lunch from here again.

All I can say is the food is amazing! Customer service is delightful… Go and try it yourself. The name says it all, take a break for a sandwich or get some breakfast!

Bacon breakfast burrito is the best! Always so freshly cooked off the grill! Sandwiches are also great along w/​everything else!

The second time I went they brought the sandwich out very fast. That’s all it really takes to be 4 stars. Lunch special. Filling.

I just want to say that I have never been to a deli with better costumer service, and the BEST FOOD YOU CAN IMAGINE!
I have tried several things on their menu but my favorite is the bacon cheeseburger… probably one of the best I’ve had. Everything tastes so fresh!
The manager Sam is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. If you are reading this and don’t know if you should try this place or not, get up and go! You will not regret it!
Very rare you come across a deli that gives you no room to complain, and this place is one of them! I will keep going back again and again.

I’ll keep it short! Ordered breakfast with coworkers delivery order took forever was wrong, cold & way overpriced an omelet I could have made myself. Also when I called in to complain man on the phone said it was our fault because we had a big order. Oh! and they also forgot one of my coworkers order. NEVER AGAIN. Take 10 deli get your act together.

I’m completely disgusted with this place. I ordered via the Eat 24 Hours website on 11/​11/​2011 and it was truly one of the worst foodie experiences I’ve ever had. Why? Well, I got a moldy surprise on my strawberries (from the Fresh Fruit Salad). Thankfully the two orders of Bacon and Eggs that I placed seemed to be clear of mold — but I couldn’t eat it after seeing the Strawberries.
I don’t know if this place at least pretends to be up to code when you go to the restaurant, but they clearly don’t check the food when they deliver.
A million thumbs down. And yes, I did file a complaint with the BBB. This is just… ridiculous!

PROS: I’m sorry, I can’t think of one right now… I have mold in my teeth. Unfortunately I didn’t look at one of the strawberries before eating it. Big mistake.
CONS: Um… MOLD.
PS: Don’t send me messages about how much you love this place and about how you don’t believe what I’m saying. I have no reason to lie about such a thing. I have nothing to gain from it. I’m just letting people know what happened to me so they can avoid it should they wish to. That’s what a review is for, no?
