The Poodle Puff

I drove across the city to have my puppy groomed. What a great experience. Nice people and a great job on my poodle puppy. I recommend poodle puff to any one even if you have to drive a while.

I had the pleasure of starting my working career at the Poodle Puff 36 years ago. Sandy, the owner, was simply the best groomer and poodle breeder. I am grateful to have had her as a mentor for so many years. I continued to use the Poodle Puff for my own dog’s grooming needs for the many years that followed my employment there. I love looking on the web and seeing how active the new owner is. I am so glad to see that the traditions of great grooming continue today. Keep up the great work Andy!

Took my dog here for the first time today and so glad I did. They were friendly, attentive and made me feel and my dog feel very comfortable. At time of pick-​up they made sure to give a full report on how my dog like the bath (or what he didn’t like). You can tell they really like animals and take great pride in their work. Will definitely be coming back.

We brought our Labradoodle in for a summer cut and he came back looking a like a shorn lamb with a giant puff on his head making him look like one of those goldfish that have the giant brains that exploded. To be fair, he had many tangles and mats that called for a shaving, but the shaving had been done so in a manner that looked really choppy and uneven. Even after 3 weeks, it’s growing out pretty ugly and uneven. The giant puff on his head just looks stupid. For $ 70 we could’ve done this job ourselves, thanks for giving him a bath though.
My biggest concern was that when he came home his eyes were blazing red as if he had strained and struggled on the choke chain for hours on end. He was exhausted when he came home.
I don’t think we will be bringing him back here.

Thank you Andy for speaking with me today and clearing up the confusion of my last visit. Ultimately I was very pleased with both of my poodle’s cuts. I will definitely make another visit for their next grooming.

Took my dog here today for the first time and I’m really happy. Cookie is like my little baby, and it’s really important to me where it take her. They did a great job and their prices are very reasonable, so this is the new spot for my little angel. Thank you Poodle Puff for taking care of my baby and doing a great job!

Brought my Australian Labradoodle Pup here for his first haircut and Anna didn’t disappoint.
She handled him with care, gave him an awesome haircut that’s received an overwhelming amount of attention and compliments.
This place came highly recommended by other Poodle and Labradoodle owners in the Valley. I’ll be back, for sure!

What an aggressive arrogant turd this guy was. I brought my precious pups in there and this guy was so aggressive manhandling my frenchie. Scared her to death. When i told him to be careful with my baby he told me that he didnt like my attitude. He kept insisting that i breed her with his dog. I told him we were spaying her and he started an argument with me. The place is filthy and stinks on top of the added insanity. I expect courtesy and positivity. In the end im concerned that this place is simply a front for some kind of sleeper cell! If you love your pets like my wife and i do, DO NOT bring your dogs here. We feared for their safety and left. We are filing a report with the bbb as well and maybe the dept of health!

Horrible horrible place I usually take my dog here but I will never again! I don’t know what they did but my dog is in pain, she has cuts, and she is not herself!

LOVE this place and LOVE Andy! Although my dog hates coming here (because she hates to be bathed and groomed) I love bringing her because I know she walks out later looking like a supermodel! Andy is so good with animals and he truly loves them all and that shines thru the work he does. He is kindhearted and caring which makes the owner of any pet feel comfortable leaving their little angel (s) with him. Highly recommend this place!

Took a client of mine’s dog here yesterday (I own a dog boarding company) and had a nice experience. The staff was friendly and communicative. The dog (a small Yorkie) was there for about 3 hours and he looked good & seemed happy when I picked him up! I had a chance to chat with Andy, who seems to know his stuff! He has a great personality and fun to chat about «all things dog» with. I look forward to bringing my dog, and many other dogs, back there soon!

I recently moved into the area and My house has a huge backyard which usually means dirt, grass, and more Dirt! So My dog took it upon herself to roll around in god knows what and ended up looking like street dog lol Pay in mind that she’s a Maltese so you can easily tell whether shes dirty or not lol .
So I began to look for Groomers and found this place on my way to school and let me tell you Im super glad I found them.
They were super courteous, attentive, and they had my Dog ready within 3 hours which was great. Oh and the cute little Halloween themed bows were an adorable touch even though my dog hated it and tried to take them off but cute nonetheless. They charged me 45 for the puppy cut which was what I used to pay at the old place I used to take her to so it was fine. Overall I was very pleased with their service so consider me a regular because I’m here to stay!

My pup needed a puppy pedicure BAD, so I decided to try this place out based on their reviews and convenient location to my apartment. I called to confirm I could just bring him in, they said no problem. 10 minutes later we had walked down to the little storefront; though no one was at the front desk (they seemed quite busy!) someone called up to me from the back to let me know I’d be helped in just a minute. A young women came up, introduced herself and acquainted herself with my pup and promptly took him to the back to clip his nails. Quick and easy, less than 5 minutes later she returned, the charge for his nails (he’s under 15lbs) came to only $ 8!
I liked that their prices are clearly listed on their website and in their storefront, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I look forward to taking my pup back and perhaps utilizing some of their other services soon!

Another great experience at Poodle Puff today. Loved it so much I’ve already scheduled my next visit for my pup’s FIRST full grooming. My dog had never been groomed by anyone but me but he walks into greet Andy like its a playdate (and I think Andy is JUST as happy). My puppy has been comfortable with them since day one. Highly recommend! I will post pictures of their work after Moose is all fancied up.

First time i went here i had a good experience. Second time not so much (uneven cut with scabs from where they cut her moles)
But this last time sealed the deal. I will never be going back.
When i brought her in i explained exactly how i wanted her hair cut (everything shaved down including head/​tail and trim on the ears) When i return to pick her up they start by explaining how they raised their prices, which they decided not to mention in the first place. Then they explain to me that this would be the last time they groom her because she is too old! Insisted that i go get her groomed at a vet god forbid anything happen to her. great way to treat your customers right?! They cut her hair all messed up and choppy and just brushed out her tail (which was full of dreads) NO WONDER SHE WAS CRYING!
My dog is the most well behaved pet ive owned. I think i could do a better job grooming her myself

It’s hard to find a dog groomer that is consistent time after time. Poodle Puff to my rescue! For the past past 6 months I’ve taken my Mini Schnauzer to Andy and Anna and every time he comes out looking perfect! It’s the little things too that impress me about this place. For example, I asked them if they could take a bunch of pictures of my Duffy going through the grooming process so I could share my BEFORE and AFTER pictures with friends. They said no problem, and took over 30+ pictures with my camera. Bottom line: I can count on Poodle Puff to treat my dog with the same care and affection they would treat their own dogs.

First time in here I had a fantastic experience. I was sure this was the place that would forever be my dogs groomer.
Second time I went in, they cut a little bit of my babies skin and it had made him bleed. I didn’t mention it to them since these things happen.
Third time I went they cut him in 3 places and made him bleed. I mentioned it, and they said sorry and put some meds on him and send me off.
Fourth time, they had missed a lot of spots on him that they didn’t cut properly and he had another bleeding spot… This is when I got mad and called them. They said if I could get him in before 12 that day they would fix it, but I was at work, and I didn’t want another bleeding spot on my Pookey.
I wish all my experiences was good because the first time they did do a good job, but too bad it didn’t continue to be that way.
If you take your dog at 9 am you’ll have him/​her by 4 anytime after that they return the dog around 5. They take too long.

They are reliable, do a good job, and have nonanaesthetic teeth cleaning for dogs—
They’ve rescued me many times! Always quick and easy for a groom on my Papillon!

I got a flier in the mail from them the other day and just set it aside because it showed $ 7.99 nail trim and it was time for Roxie to get hers done.
Initially I set out for
because I like what they do for Spay and Neuter. However, they advised me that they had gotten a LOT of dogs in that morning for surgery, so it would be awhile (they were honest a long while) so I decided to give the Poodle Puff a shot.
I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment and they said no. They asked her breed and if she bites.
I head over and as soon as I walk in, Roxie is complimented on how cute she is. Everyone there was really nice.
The guy came out with the dremel and did her nails right there up front and pretty quickly. I think he was a little surprised at how good she was, once she stopped backing away.
It turns out it was $ 10 not $ 7.99, but it is still cheaper than at the local vets office so I was okay with it.
I don’t have a need for a groomer for my dog, she is good being bathed at home in the tub. However i would definitely come back here for her nails.
