Very good food. Have eaten here on several occasions and food always good and consistent. Fast & friendly service. However I must say the neighborhood is pretty rough but their restaurant is very nice and clean. Large parking lot. I will come back again… soon :)

Really enjoyed this place. Loved their warm salsa, and my kids enjoyed the queso. Our meals were good, too. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

We were hungry for Mexican food and stopped here after reading other Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. The enchiladas, rice and beans were very good. The prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.

Best Mexican food in Sherman! We wanted to try something new today, and we are glad we found Arroyos! The fajitas and chile relleno were delicious! The waitstaff was very attentive, and the chips and salsas were yummy as well!

I have been twice now. Both times, great food and fast friendly service. It’s a cute little place with interesting murals. Several TVs to keep up with your game. They give complimentary queso and two other salsas with the chips. Food is really good. Try it!

Small and scary looking from the outside. Sweet and rushed server on the inside.
Honestly, was not expecting the food to be THIS doggone good. I will have to go back to see if this is true! My son’s burrito was bigger than my head and to be honest, we stopped in because we were in a hurry and was just going to grab a bite. No bite sized items here. Stay! Grab a drink, visit, chill out, learn a little Spanish.
Everyone was very accommodating after learning it was our first visit here.
Two salsas to love on and a little queso for all you cheese lovers to go with your chips.
My salad was AMAZING.
Love this little nook and WILL revisit… soon!

First visit today and can’t wait to go back. The beef fajitas were better than Trudy’s in Austin and those were words I never thought I would speak. I have never had fajitas so tender. Salsa and queso were decent and a burrito supreme was huge and tasty. Only mild issue was some of the chips were hard. Alas, I have finally found a great restaurant in Sherman!

Hands down, best Mexican food in the area. If you have not been here then you should try it immediately.
Arroyo’s needs to be the new Best of Texoma for Mexican food, it is no longer La Mesa.

Bottom line, Delicious authentic mexican food. Just don’t expect a big fancy restaurant.
Since a friend of mine brought me here for homemade menudo I’ve been hooked. Upon entry you’re greeted with fresh tortilla chips, surprisingly good queso and two different types of salsa. One is a chilled generic tasting salsa, the other (my favorite) is a warm tomatoey, spicy salsa. The spice level on this one has varied from mild to me wishing I had stocked popsicles in my bathroom. I’ve had everything from grilled fish and shrimp, shrimp cocktail, to the nachos, and tortas. The barbacoa tacos are super moist and tender. I’ve only had one instance where my corn tortillas were a little hard. Everyone I’ve brought here has enjoyed their food. My only complaint is the availability of seating and the condition of their booths.
Highly recommended.
