Caprese Salad did not have a balsamic reduction. The waitress was a bit sassy and perhaps a bit intoxicated. Chef did not properly cook the sausage. Drink service was non-existent.

The food was OK, but nothing outstanding. The service is good. I liked the interior. I will not be back specially for this restaurant. May be if I am in Sherman again.

Great service. Loved the strawberry salad. Rest of the food was ok. Incredibly pricey.

Great lunch spot but can be a bit crowded and loud at times. The sandwiches and soups are really good and they are light enough where they won’t weigh you down the rest of your work day. They have a bakery also for your sweet tooth.

The Service is stellar. The food is even better, and the the desserts are to die for. Very clean and locally owned. I don’t know how they could get any better.

I love the chicken salad sandwich with the spinach and strawberry salad. Every thing else I have ever tried is great too. The bread pudding for dessert, yummm — I have to really control myself to not lick the plate. They also have a bakery.

The best chicken salad sandwich you will ever eat can be found right here at Kathleen’s Kitchen. It’s a Sherman favorite for a reason, y’all! I love that their flavored teas aren’t sweet so you can adjust the flavor to your own liking. Reasonably well priced for the quality. Service isn’t always the friendliest but they are very quick and attentive.

I’ve never dined in, so maybe I’d have a better experience if I did. I had a to-go lunch. They were fast, and nice even though it was busy. I love a good sandwich, but it seemed way too much like a sack lunch I could have made at home.

Always a popular place for the lunch crowd of the Sherman elite(and I don’t mean Unilocalers). The feel is like eating in your grandmother’s kitchen, with a side of snark. Parking lot is constantly packed, the dining room crowded and the staff rushed most days. As this is part bakery, part restaurant, the fresh bread and desserts are on point. However, the sourdough tastes nothing like a sourdough, but a country white instead. Sandwiches would benefit from being toasted, as well… especially the BLT. Prices are decent for the dishes placed at your table(i.e. $ 6.95 for a sandwich, chips and a pickle). The daily flavored tea is a great choice not normally seen on many menus. Overall, we’ll eat lunch here on the rare occasion, but because of the feeling we get when walking in the door, it’s not somewhere we frequent often.

My coworker and I stopped here for lunch while in the area on a Wednesday afternoon. I was immediately struck by how crowded it was, and took that as a good sign. The menu consists of soup, salad, and sandwiches and was a little confusing to read. I ordered the half tuna sandwich and opted to pay extra for jalapeño bread, with the side of strawberry-spinach salad, and my coworker ordered the chicken salad sandwich on white with the same side salad. Food came out quickly, but I was disappointed to see that I received a whole sandwich instead of a half. The salad was delicious and came with a poppyseed dressing, but there was way too much dressing and that was all I could taste. The jalapeño bread was dry and didn’t have much flavor, but the tuna salad was good. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. Still, I wasn’t impressed with the place.

Best chicken salad I’ve ever had! The hours are the only drawback. They close the dining room for dinner, but the to-go section is open until 5 or 5:30. Good food and a good value.

Service: Staff seemed a littled rushed and we were one of the first ones there. They were very prompt and willing to do/get anything we needed. Food: I myself went with the usual smoked Turkey melt and potato soup. They don’t skimp on the sandwich. We also tried the Trio. The only one we both said«meh» to was the pasta salad. That would not be an order again for us. Desserts… you can’t go wrong here!

Super fast take-out service in the bakery. Huge fan of the lunchbox with chips, sandwich… and TWO cookies! The first time I ordered the lunchbox I thought I got two cookies by mistake. I’m glad it wasn’t because they’re delicious. I also enjoy dining in the restaurant but it can get loud because of the lunch crowd. The wait staff has a handle on it and has always provided courteous, attentive service. Kathleen’s invented the pick-two combo long before Panera existed. The egg salad sandwich is great and so are the potato soup, strawberry spinach salad, and the pumpkin layered dessert. I like the cornbread that comes with the soups, too.

When you walk in everything looks great. The have a very cute establishment. I called in a order, showed up, and had to go in twice for them to correct it. My fault for not checking the whole order once I noticed the sandwich wasn’t right. Wasn’t a difficult order Chicken salad sandwich on croissant and peanut butter cookies. Instead I got Chicken Salad on white bread and Chocolate Chip Cookies that had a taste of raisin, which had no raisins. Overall the food was very mediocre. The cookies weren’t very soft and not as good as I have had from there. I’d expect more from a company that has won awards for the past 10 years.

Visited for lunch today and was very pleased. They offered mango iced tea, which was delicious and not overly sweet. Very refreshing on this hot Texas day! Hubby had Egg salad sandwich, and I ordered the trio salad. It had Curry pineapple chicken salad, spinach and strawberry salad and pasta salad. All were delicious! Our only regret is we didn’t have room for dessert, which all sounded amazing. Two thumbs up, Kathleen!

Oh Kathleen’s. I love you so. I could eat here everyday(and there have been weeks where I have). I love the staff. They always know my order before I have to say it. Best potato soup and chicken salad I have ever had. And the spinach salad is also incredible. Also the BEST cupcakes I have ever had, hands down.

A great deli/bakery/restaurant! Service was excellent. Food was outstanding — fresh and well prepared. We had some of their specialty sandwiches. We were glad to have found this exceptional place. I wish they were closer because their carry-out desserts and meals looked fabulous. Neat and clean as a pin!

Great sandwich plates I got the roast beef melt. The wheat bread was soft, the meat was moist and it sort’ve broke apart in my mouth, and the cheese wasn’t too overpowering. After adding all of it together it was a delicious melt. The chips on the side wasn’t anything too crazy but it’s the main dish that mattered to me My grandma got the french dip and the strawberry/spinach salad as her side. I regret not getting that salad as a side because it was quite delicious. I was hesitant at first by the combination since i’m not the biggest fan of fruits in my salad. However, it worked out well. The poppy dressing and the strawberries made the spinach sweet but not too sweet. Great salad, I will definitely try to replicate it at home :3 the atmosphere is very warm and homely. random wooden chairs, a chalkboard with specials of the day. It was a pleasant experience. Plus the service was pretty solid, no complaints there neither. I dig it, you should check it out if you pass by through Sherman!
