Super tasty! After white knuckle drive to Sherwood from Portland to return a truck in the snow, my aunt suggested we come here for lunch. Heads up, it’s a seat yourself situation. Once settled in, the waiter came over and handed us our menus and took our orders pretty quickly. The menu is fairly extensive so it took us awhile to settle on what we wanted. We ended up getting fish tacos, fish ‘n’ chips & a burger. It didn’t take long for the food to come out but the atmosphere was cozy and the Seahawks were on so I wouldn’t have minded one way or another. I sampled a fish taco, yum. But my fish ‘n’ chips were far and away my favorite. Fresh halibut perfectly breaded with crispy«chips» er fries. Some of my favorite fish ‘n’ chips I have found in Oregon, frankly. Everyone at our tables was satisfied with their selections. Being a Sunday, we took our time eating, drinking & talking but our server never made us feel rushed while making sure we had everything we need. I’m not in Sherwood a ton, but I would make this my go-to stop when I am.

This is our favorite place to eat locally. With kids or without. The drinks are great, food is always amazing & the friendly staff is always on point! Best little pub around! We love taking friends from out of town here. Never disappoints!

Clancys is a solid Irish joint. Dark interior, wood booths, and too much décor. They have a fabulous happy hour. I’m a fan of their $ 6 halibut fish and chips, the portion is small as expected, but done well. My husband loves the fish tacos with added avocado. They have lots of beer on tap. This week I had a three olives martini for $ 7– a steal. The service is always good and it’s never packed. As a bonus it is kid friendly.

The whip cream used in the bar tastes bland no sweet or vanilla. It’s not bad just bland liked whipped milk.

This place is a bit of a hidden gem. Great pub fare and more, and really great service. Also a good sports bar option. They have Hamms on tap, a huge plus in my book. Really winning all the way around.

Weren’t greeted when we arrived. Sat without help for 10 min. Workers seemed put off we were there even though it was their happy hour and only a few people were there. Food was cold. We were barely spoken too while we were there and the overall vibe was very unwelcoming.

The clam chowder was average. I had the fish n chips. Fries were cold and soggy which I did not eat. The 1st piece of fish tasted good. The 2nd piece had a real nasty after taste(it was the last bite). The 3rd piece 1st bite had that same nasty after taste. I did not eat that piece nor the last piece. I brought this to the server attention and she said she would let«them» know. There was no offer to comp me for my meal. This maybe a local favorite but I will not be back… They gm just contacted me and wants to make this right… will give this business another shot. Will update review at that time

I’ve been coming to Clancys since I moved to Sherwood 3 years. I have never had a bad meal and I eat here a couple times a month. You won’t find better razor clams around and they make a great seafood fettuccine. Love supporting local business

Very solid food. Great service. Have eaten here a lot for all meals, and I would say this is the best bar/restaurant in Sherwood. Definitely would recommend.

Clancy’s is probably my favorite Sherwood restaurant. I’ve loved their fish tacos from the first time I visited, but let me tell you — their clam chowder is THEBEST I’ve ever had! Staff is awesome and great atmosphere!

I’m going to update this review not to say anything new but just to let y’all know that I still come here often and enjoy the food. The Clancy Burger is huge! and delicious. Some reviewers have, in the past, legitimately criticized the restrooms. But they’ve been remodeled and are quite fine now. Clancy’s has done some nice rework on the patio out back and, weather permitting, it’s a great place to enjoy your meal. Clancy’s prepares their own food in-house using a lot of locally-sourced ingredients. It’s all very fresh and, for what it is, it’s very good. Clancy’s has been a Sherwood favorite for decades and it just keeps on delivering. It is what it is, a neighborhood local bar-and-grill sort of place. But it is authentic and the food is good. Come expecting that experience and you too will be pleased.

This is how you treat your customers that leave a bad review? So I got sick from eating there, we both ate onion rings. All I can say is please check the oil the onion rings are fried in. I’m absolutely disgusted that you would even send me this kind of message and will never dine here again. Happy now? Update: please have a look at how the GM responded to my review via the photos I posted. That is just unacceptable customers service. We will never be dining here again. PS: neither of us drank on the 4th so quit playing the blame game and check the oil your onion rings are fried in. I am aware how food poisoning works, this isn’t the first time I’ve had it.

Finally decided to give Clancy’s a shot and I’m glad I did! For starters, the waitress(receipt says Stacy) was amazing. She was super busy when we walked in but made it over to our table in no time:) She was very nice throughout the visit and did a great job on checking in on us. Without checking in on us too much. Got the chicken strips and fires. Chicken strips were really good and the fries had some skin which I like!

Breakfast is yummy, and price comparable to bigger chain restaurants. I’d prefer to support local businesses though!

Went there for dinner with six friends. Had the Clam Chowder as recommended(best ever). Each of us had a different entrée. Each raved that ours was the best.

Walking in it looks like a big open pub but is family oriented. It was quite busy at the time and my husband and I found a small table against the back wall in the corner. We must of timed it just right though. Customers started to leave after what must of been quite a lunch rush. Good thing because we only saw one server and wondered if she even know that we walked in. It is definitely a local place. The over 70s ‘mens club’ lined all the seats along the bar visiting and watching the 5 plus tv screens above the bar. At one table dad was playing cards with his young son of about 10 and a mom with two young boys sat at a table next to us. The boys, about 7 years old, started reading their books while mom visited with the cook. Some local hangouts you can feel out of place but we did not feel that here. It did not take long at all for the server to bring menus and ask what we would like to drink. The menu is quite extensive from breakfast to filet mignon. We opted for the California Burger and Halibut Fish ‘n Chips. The burger was moist. Not quite medium rare like ordered but still good. The Halibut pieces were a nice size and also prepared well. The sides(onion rings, and tots) were more then we could eat, even though I tried my hardest with he onion rings. I had their homemade Bloody Mary. It was spices with a bite, but it lacked other flavors making it more just a spice tomato juice. It was not worth the price. The service was great. There are many tempting items on the menu. We will be back !

Really? this is what Sherwood has to offer? It’s embarrassing! This place smells like an old bowling alley with more TV screens than Las Vegas. It’s a shit hole with no toilet paper. What would be great is a farm to table restaurant that is well lit with casual people. I am not talking about some Portandia yuppie crap either, I mean real people that actually enjoy a good clean dining experience. Microbrews yes because we are talking local. The rest of this place, no way, clean it up.
