I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. Not only is the food amazing, but the staff was fabulous. They were so friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and flavorful with very hefty portions, I couldn’t even finish my meal(since I wanted to leave room for dessert and coffee). I had a delicious tortellini with fresh mushrooms, peas and prosciutto… so good! My BF had short rib special with asparagus and mashed potatoes(some of the most tender meat ever). We finished our meal with the crème brûlée and the cannoli(my personal favorite). We will definitely be back and highly recommend this establishment to everyone.

Although the service was excellent, the quality of the food was mediocre. And the prices were outrageous. I had surf and turf for $ 56.00. The filet was over cooked(although I ordered medium rare it was well done.) and the lobster tail was cold. I should have sent it back and regret that I did not. I will not be returning.

Please Do Not go to this restaurant The building is desperately trying to be more than what it is, the wait staff are rude and impatient Go to raimondos in ship bottom instead We arrived for our reservation and we were rushed and interrupted every 5 – 10 minutes by multiple staff members to place our order We paid for the wine and bread and walked out.

We visit LBI once a year and unlike the weather, the food and experience at La Spiaggia never fails. The food is fresh, prepared to my liking and always delicious. The menu is fantastic, but the specials truly stand out. If it sounds good, trust your ears and make your mouth one happy camper. Mark, Danny and the whole La Spiaggia staff — thanks for another great meal. See you next July!

Without doubt, La Spiaggia is the best restaurant on LBI(and for miles around!). Outstanding food done to perfection, every time — from appetizers to entrees to desserts! We have ordered many different menu items as well as chef’s specials and have never been disappointed! Delicious desserts and cappuchino bring your dining experience full circle. Wait staff is attentive, friendly and well –versed on the menu. The lovely Tuscany — inspired décor is elegant. yet relaxed. Note that reservations are highly recommended. Intimate tables for two, four and larger parties easily accomodated. If you are staying on LBI, or on the mainland, DONOTMISS dinner at La Spiaggia! And don’t forget to bring the wine!

We’ve been going to Long Beach Island for many years! We have always passed this restaurant by and this past year we decided to make reservations and come in and try it. Best decision we’ve ever made. The food is so good and the service is even better. The salads were fresh and just delicious. Every entrée is just as delicious. Save room for desserts! They’re that good too! A classy, upscale restaurant on LBI. Do not miss this gem! NOTE: it’s a bring your own.

We have been going to LBI for years, always pass this place but never stopped in. New Year’s Eve changed all that. Amazing food(with a children’s menu) and spectacular service. The bread with roasted garlic that came out before our meal was a meal all alone. The children’s portions are generous. The calamari and steamed clams were cooked to perfection. The porterhouse veal was amazing. And to make the place even better… it’s BYOB! This will be our new favorite«fancy» restaurant on the island.

The service really put Spiagia over the top for me. They were super attentive, responsive, and kept everything flowing throughout the meal in a way that was non-intrusive. The entrees range in price from $ 25-$ 40 which is pretty typical on the island for this type of place. K had a chicken dish and I had the veal marsala and cup of new england clam chowder. It wasn’t the best marsala I’ve had, but the veal was super tender and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. I also had a small side of penne bolognese which was outstanding. Oh, you are also able to bring our own wing and they will cork it and pour it for you. Upside in a nutshell: impeccable service, valet parking, BYOB, great food!

Food was good, not amazing but service and wait staff were excellent. My son enjoyed his filet minon. I had the veal Sorentina. It was good. Mashed carrot side was tasty but cold, as were the whipped potatoes. Nice atmosphere though.

Early October on LBI. 80 degree weather and beautiful… But, several of the local places are closed for the season… Sigh! So after some Unilocal research(when finished driving around aimlessly to find a spot that was open) me and the man decided to try take out from this fine establishment. The gentlemen who answered the phone was friendly and kind enough and eager to explain the menu choices(the posted online menu was incorrect and they no longer serve the dish I was planning to order). Both the fella and I ordered the penne bolognese. It was delicious although I would’ve preferred just a little more sauce but it was flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked and clearly they took the time to drain it(thank you)!! My favorite part was the fact that they were kind enough to send us home with warm, crusty, delicious bread with sides of grated Parmesan, fresh ricotta and garlic infused oil(with whole cloves of roasted garlic) YUMmmMm!!! Overall, I’d say the garlic oil and bread are reason enough to go but the penne bolognese was delicious. Next time, I think we will try dining there!

Another great spot for dinner on Long Beach Island. Great atmosphere for a very elegant meal with great company. Servers are always very polite and educated on menu items. Be sure to stop and pick up a few bottles of wine to have at dinner. Place can get very busy I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Wasn’t terribly impressed with the calamari but everything we have eaten there has been delicious. Worth the money.

Love the food here. It is NYC dining-worthy. Had the calamari and chicken and my friend had a wonderful salad and veal. Everything was fantastic, and it always is. Consistent excellence is the hallmark here. The service is wonderful and it always is. We usually get the same waiter and he always remembers us, as does the owner every time we come in. Its such a nice place. Thank God they stay open til New Year’s Eve when so many others close after Labor day or at least by mid October.

Ate here last night for the first time and really enjoyed it. Would eat here even if I weren’t a «captive audience» on LBI! Our appetizers were all delicious, as were our main courses. My special, the flounder francaise, was delightful. And the desserts were creative(buttered popcorn gellato?!?) and yummy. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is nice. Prices are OK, I guess the price of pastas are a little high(mid 20’s) but since it’s a BYO there’s no alcohol on your bill. Would definitely recommend eating here when you’re on LBI for a few nights.

We have been regular customers for the last 15 years, and the food and service is so consistently outstanding we picked our wedding reception location so we could have La Spiaggia cater. Mark and Danny Stragapede bring flair and charm to their restaurant, and we anxiously await them opening for the season each year! We can’t say enough good things about La Spiaggia, if you are down on LBI it shouldn’t be missed.
