Mediocre food, rude staff, high prices. I would have given the place three stars(rounding up) for the food even though it’s overpriced compared to the many other options on the island but the older lady at the hostess desk, who I believe is the owner’s wife brought the rating down. They really treat their customers like it’s their honor to be there. It’s as if customer service is a foreign concept to them. Bottom line is that there really is no reason to choose this place over any other on LBI, especially if you’re looking for great seafood. Dine elsewhere.

Raimondo’s on LBI is a great spot for a wonderful modern Italian meal. With a romantic atmosphere and a flair for dramatic plating, one can settle in for a delicious meal. by the way … it’s BYOB! We started with the Spedini alla Romana, which was a hearty and flavorful way to start our meal. It was a bit on the heavy side, so we wouldn’t recommend ordering it if you’re going for a pasta entrée. We got the veal with prosciutto, fontina cheese and a hard-boiled egg and the pork chop with hot and sweet vinegar peppers onions and crispy potatoes in a rosemary wine sauce for our entrees. Both dishes were flawlessly executed, but our favorite was the pork because of its strong flavors and generous portion size. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we recommend grabbing your favorite bottle of wine and stopping in!

Let me start out by saying the food is definitely five stars. Everyone in our party ordered something different and all dishes were superb! We arrived on a Saturday night(off season) and were promptly and courteously seated at a nice table for four. The problem was that we were a party of five, so be warned if you are an odd numbered party, ask ahead about the seating. Being the host, I took the fifth chair in the service aisle. Not good. Our server(J) was not up to the level of service you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Let me just leave it at that. Expensive but worth it. Will visit again with better local knowledge.

Many years and many meals — always great food from first course thru dessert. Best Bolognese I’ve ever wrapped my lips around! Their lentil soup inspired me to make my own. Flounder francese, shrimps stuffed with crabmeat, filet tips with mushrooms. And the desserts… Sorry, just had to wipe the drool off my keyboard. The dining room is even more comfortable after the post-Sandy renovation. Service is usually very good. A big recommend.

We’ve heard about Raimondo’s for YEARS and were so excited to make our reservation. Dinner for the four of us was FABULOUS from beginning to end! We had delicious appetizers, and each of us ordered an entrée from the nightly special. We enjoyed lamb, cowboy steak, halibut and pork chop. The ambience was terrific and the service from our waiter Phil was exceptional. We will absolutely go back!

Every single dish, appetizer, salad, main courses, were excellent. In fact, maybe a bit too much food. That’s my only complaint, that they will not let you share a main course without charging you extra; that makes you feel a bit like you’re being gouged. Another way to look at it: my wife and I can’t eat there, each order a salad/appetizer, and then share a main course without a significant upcharge. A bit more flexibility and they’d get 5 stars. The food was fresh, well prepared, tasty and served professionally. Good luck with the summer time weekend crowds, maybe try to go off season.

Appetizers were amazing. My husband had octopus and I had clams. Big portions, and incredibly good. Service was friendly, attentive but meals were slow to come out. My husband had veal part which was wonderful. I ordered the tuna over spaghetti squash. It was extremely buttery/greasy. I wanted to love the restaurant. I’m sure we’ll try again.

We have never had a bad meal here. They are open on weekends year round and the menu gives lots of well prepared selections. We can give Raimondo’s our top recommendation.

Food was really good but service was slow. Also we were seated in the enclosed patio which had a gasoline smell to it due to the candles and all you hear is noise from the street. Not happy with the setting and I would recommend that if you chose to dine here ask to be seated in the dining area.

Absolutely Fabulous! Remember to BYO! Walked in at 9:30PM asked for table after negative experience at La Spiaggia, eailier that evening. we were warmly welcomed even late in the evening and while most all tables were filled, Completely opposite experience at La Spiaggia nearby. We had a wonderful dinner, calamari, then Sea Bass baked with a hazelnut bread crumb over a carrot and rock shrimp risotto, lemon, basil broth and baby pea tendrils. superb! Highly recommend!

We go often to RAIMONDO’S especially when we have weekend visitors. We have NEVER had a bad meal-EVER. Lisa(Raymond’s wife) is always sweet and courteous. Rich who has been there for 20 years always remembers us. Lisa our favorite waitress is cool, funny and full of personality. We love her! The nicest thing is that if you want any change with your entrée there is never a problem. We always make a reservation because ‘season’ at LBI is very busy. We have never had a problem. Ps. The bathrooms are as clean as the restaurant!

Real quick… Décor was perfect. Intimate and neat. Service was very professional, just as a fine dining restaurant should be. Reservation was exactly on point. Arrived at 8:28 and was sat for our 8:30 reservation immediately. Food was PERFECT! From the presentation to the taste! The menu was very well executed! Kudos to the chef. Heads up: Everyone must order and entrée, you can’t do tapas style and then share an entrée. Can’t say I love that, considering I like to pick on numerous apps and then share entrees at times. But I respect their policy, every place is different and it is stated in the menu. I had to force feed to finish my entrée because I was so full and don’t like to reheat seafood, but it was worth the pain after. :) And the prices are incredibly high $ 30 – 70 for entrees and apps are about $ 14 – 18 I believe. If you can afford to have a special night out, I’ll say it is very worth it! What to eat: I had the Chillean sea bass which was so good and a very generous portion. My boyfriend and I shared the meatball app special which was to die for. Some of the best meatballs and sauce I’ve had. And then he had the breaded chicken with tortellini special which was also incredible. I wish I had more room to eat because I would’ve ordered more. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to going back. So thank you for making our date night wonderful and thank you Linda for being a great server.

I’ve been here many times with my family and have never be disappointed. It’s absolutely worth every penny. The atmosphere is special and they are always family friendly. Last night I enjoyed a lightly breaded Shrimp Oreganata with Broccoli Rabe and Linguini. My sister munched on a flash fried lobster tail that was absolute perfection and my brother in law took delight in a Shrimp Puttanesca with fettuccine. Every dish is truly spectacular. Yummy Italian seafood every single time. Also if you remember a favorite dish, from a previous menu there, tell the waiter and they will make it for you.

Excellent meal. It’s a bit of tourist pricing, but the quality is there and the grilled shrimp with feta and capers on fettuccine was especially good.

My husband and I went to Raimondo’s last week for dinner. It was sooo disappointing. I ordered the pork chop special which the waitress highly recommended. When it arrived, it was so tough that I could hardly even cut it with the steak knife. I’ve had tough meat before, but this one won the prize. They should serve it with a chain saw. I immediately sent it back as it was inedible! They then brought me a pasta dish that was tasteless. We will not go back there even though we have a beach house here on LBI.

Not great. Food was okay. Service was unbearably slow. Would not recommend. It’s shit don’t go here. Also their entrée rule is absolutely ridiculous. The island has some good food, but this place isn’t a gold mine.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on LBI. We were introduced to it two years ago and have never had a bad meal here. My favorites include the chicken sorentina, scallop and risotto special, crab cakes over angel hair, and the Osso buca special. My son loves salmon bruschetta appetizer and the filet minion. I had the meatball and ricotta appetizer last night and loved it too. Favorite desserts include the fresh berries with sambuca and zabaglione cream and the profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Last night I also enjoyed the Italian ricotta cheesecake. The atmosphere is nicer than most places on the island. It is also byob. I love this place.
