Nice local meaty place to stockpile for winter or just a quick stop for lunch. I went there with a bear-sized appetite and got a ham, turkey, roast beef, lettuce, tomato with provolone for $ 8 – 9. And no, it wasn’t one of those overpriced gourmet sandwiches where you’re still hungry right after. This thing was like Jerome«the bus» Bettis in his prime; hits so hard to the gut you gotta get the inhaler and take a breath before finishing the second half. They also have home-made sides like potato salad but it’s a seasonal item(think warm weather) so maybe next time since I was there in mid-winter. Definitely recommended unless you’re a vegan/veggie kinda person.

good meats dissapointed though when I request 2LBS of a roast & it gets cut to 2.75.I wouldnt have minded a little over but ¾ of a lb over…, I should have said no, but the guy was in a rush to help the customer spending a lot more money than me. Listen to the customer no matter how small their order is :).

I’m going back to Happy Steer for another cook out I am having this weekend. Their meat was good first time around. Cubed lamb for kebabs was very nice but, the cubes were far from uniform and required work. Burgers and dogs were good. Skirt steaks were also good. Chickens(whole) were very nice also. Prices were not bad.
