It’s been non-​stop problems with them ever since the actual work began.
The sales people are nice and, of course, tell you their sending out high quality, experienced workers to do the job. Total BS. They sent out a «new guy» who wasn’t proven. Evidently, they fired him some months later due to his consistantly shoddy work. The crew did a good job with the window installation, but did a lousy job on the siding, trim, gutters, and downspouts. I’d been having them come out over a year to do repairs. Unfortunately, they have a hard time living up to their warranty.
This is how they do it… 1. You explain the issue that needs to be repaired in detail on the phone. 2. They reluctantly send someone out and you show them the issue face to face, in more detail. 3. Then, they send out different employees who don’t have the full story idea and do only a small fraction of the repairs. This cycle continues, again, and again.
Also important, when they start getting frustrated, they try to put the blame on you. I’m a laid-​back kinda guy, but they said I was being «too particular». I am certainlynot too particular None of the dozen contractors I’ve ever used in my life ever had a problem with fixing any I’ve noticed that was a little shoddy. Then again, it was extremely rare that it would even come up. Most of those contractors were very good.
I used to labor for a sider in Colorado over 20 years ago. Although a little rusty, I have a good idea of how it works. A couple of their goons came out one day and said, «if it’s so easy, why don’t you do it yourself» with a nasty tone. Granted, these were the Einsteins that overlapped the downspout the wrong direction.
Anyway, to make a long story short, here’s a list of some of me being «too particular»…
Water leaks in a couple different areas due to negligence
Water fried my stereo, no concern by them
Lengths of flashing blowing off
Shutters falling off
Doing thing incorrectly, because that’d «be easier»
No drop edge around in some appropriate areas
Gaps, gaps, and more gaps
Siding over vent
Still finding loads of nails in gardening beds after two years, of coarse, flattening a tire or two.

I learned of AJ Windows through Angie’s List. I contacted them and scheduled a consultation for a free estimate. My husband and I sat through the presentation and were quite impressed with the product, the warranty and cost. We had 14 windows replaced and 1 patio sliding door. The installation and workmanship were outstanding. The installation for everything was completed in one day. Between the initial order and three to four weeks prior to installation, I had upgraded my windows to include interior grids on the upper halves of the windows, at which time I added the patio sliding door with grids as well. Tom and Eve, owners of AJ Windows Solutions, have been very helpful, professional and delivered an outstanding product. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends.
