I called to make sure that they tested car batteries. I spoke with (if I remember correctly) Nora. She was very polite over the phone and answered all my questions professionally.
When I got there, I was greeted immediately by Fred J. He tested my battery and determined that it was bad. I purchased a new one and Fred J. had me up and running in less than 15 mins total.
During the whole process from greeting to testing to selling/​purchasing to installation to farewell, Fred J. made my visit a very special one with his insight and friendliness. It was a real pleasure to chat with him. He has a very warm heart and I appreciate his kindness. I look forward to visiting again and seeing Fred J. during my next purchase! Bless his heart. A very very nice human being.

I went there to check the battery and replace it if needed. The kid was helpful, but apparently did not have an idea of where the battery is located in my BMW or how to change it, but offered to do so. He hooked up a back up battery as memory to keep the computer from resetting while replacing the battery, which actually blew a few fuses and generated random error codes. New battery replaced, the instrument panel wont light up and the iDrive system gives warning not to drive due to serious safety issue including steering, 4×4, transmission and brake systems. The worst part started here: the kid goes in to the store to ask the manager what to do now, he replies tell the customer that «this happens with BMWs, just drive away and it will be fine by itself!» What?! I tell him I probably know where the problem is, we need to start by finding the fuses that were blown due to incorrect wiring while replacing batteries, then we need to check the codes, verify issues and clear them. The kid has no idea where the fuse box is, so I help him locate the blown fuses and replace them (5A and 20A fuses for instrument panel). He then goes in to bring the code reader to figure out the error codes. He doesn’t come back. After half an hour, I go after him but the manager says he already went home and there is nothing more they can do! I ask them for the code reader but they refuse. Ended up leaving my driving license with them to borrow the code reader and go through error codes one by one by myself. Turns out the incorrect wiring had also resulted in onboard computer to lose track of the wheels and transmission, but the systems were not actually damaged. After googling the solution, I clear the codes, return the code reader, get my driver license and finally drive home, thinking what would have happened if it was a less experienced customer. Stay away from them if you need minor electrical help or expect customer service.

I walked in and Luis G. immediately approached me to offer his help. I asked him if he would be able to read the computer codes on my car, and he happily did so. After finding out that I had a faulty O2 sensor, he explained to me exactly which part was malfunctioning, why, and what to do about it. He found a replacement part for me and even helped me replace the sensor!
He didn’t have to do that, he could have just told me what the code said, tossed a part at me and pushed me out the door. But he didn’t. He went well above and beyond the call of duty and showed that he really cared about me and my car, and that even a $ 20 part wasn’t a pointless transaction. Thank you very much Luis G!

Customer service was great but knowledge of how to test batteries & alternators was terrible. I ended up stranded 40 miles away and had to have my car towed home after I was told my alternator was fine (it wasn’t). The kid didn’t even have me turn on my car when he tested it — which I thought was odd. They told me it was my battery that was dead (it wasn’t) so I purchased a new one. Very nice employees but they had no idea what they were doing.

I went here to get a new headlight and brake light, windshield wipers. The person who helped me was so over the top «stressed». This will take me a half hour and I can’t possibly help you as I am so short staffed today (there were two people working). You should head up to the AutoZone in Lynnwood. I explained I was fine waiting if he had to help others first or stop and help others.
Off I went. Excellent Customer service there and guess what *GASP* only two people were working AND surprisingly they had no issue fitting me between customers. AND it took him all of 10 minutes (if that) to replace the brake light and headlight and windshield wipers. I had no problem waiting if they needed to help someone else. I would go back to Lynnwood but I would skip this one near my house. They are simply put LAZY and NOT customer FRIENDLY.
I only gave them two stars because they sent me to someplace that would actually HELP me.

I was just over at Fred Meyers getting christmas lights and locked my keys in my car. I called AAA and they said I would have to wait up to 2 hours. Looking over my shoulder I noticed Auto Zone. Thinking that I could save my AAA service calls, I will just go over there and buy a solution. Not only did I not have buy anything, but Ben said they had a tool and he would help for free. WOW! I had to buy something now, which I did enthusiastically. It took Ben about 10-​minutes but he got me into my car and I saved a service call for next time.
I really hope Ben’s boss sees this and knows what a great person they have working for them.
Ya, maybe other places may have better prices, but no one can match their service!

This is the first time I’ve been here and I was so pleased. Both my car headlights burned out and my friend suggested it might be a fuse that could be changed. Now I’m highly competent in many areas of life but when it comes to technology and the inner workings of cars, yah, I got nothing.
I walked into the store, waited about a minute for the customer ahead of me to finish, and explained my situation. A very nice young man named Kevin immediately called for assistance at the desk, grabbed his jacket and we headed out to my car. After searching for about 10 minutes we discovered there is no headlight fuse in my car. ‘No worry,’ he said, ‘let’s just check the bulbs.’ Sure enough they were burnt out and we headed inside to pick up some new ones. Reasonably priced, I might add. He changed the first one, then coached me through changing the 2^nd one and made sure it was properly replaced. THEN he checked the lights all the way around the car before I left to be sure I would be safe tonight.
I’m so grateful to Kevin for his help, and so happy this store is nearby. I’ll be a return customer for sure!

Recently I came in with a friend who was ISO a specific part for his Honda. He ultimately didn’t find what he was looking for but the employees there were so friendly, recommending a couple other stores in the area that might have what he needed.
I’ve been in before on my own and found that the folks working there were friendly and helpful. One guy there even offered to change my wiper blades for me because he wanted to step outside. Who was I to argue?!
I found that the parking was easy. Take care to watch for folks barreling in en route to the Fred Meyer. If you need auto parts, stop here first.

I know this is this a chain, but the service has always been pleasant and efficient and the prices very competitive. I’m not asking for much when it comes to some things, but those little things seem to be hard to come by at times. Thanks auto zone for the service.

Was able to get everything I needed in a matter of minutes. Seemed like one of the better AutoZones I have been to; however the service was a little slow to check out.

I’ve been here 4 – 5 times in the past couple months and it seems to me that this place lacks attention to customers. The folks that work here are 50+ age group and they seem to give customer service to that age group but not to people who look younger. The Hispanic guy that work here is always nice and helpful but the rest just seems apathetic, especially the perverted and evil looking Santa Clause looking guy.
What really threw me off is that I walk to the counter and I see 3 employees (overweight perverted and evil looking santa clause guy, blonde with glasses with a voice of a heavy smoker, and the other one I forget what he looked like) chit chatting and the woman with the blonde hair and glasses had her back towards me. I stood right in front of them and waited 5 seconds and yet they don’t even notice I’m waiting to pay for couple things worth 30 bucks. Not one employee in the three give any attention to me. I wanted to just pay for the stuff and get going with my day so I asked «Is there a cashier here? I want to pay for these items.» They all looked at me like «Thanks for disrupting our chit chat.»
The only reason why I came here is because I like their selections compared to O’reillys but I guess I’ll stick to buying online from now for car parts. This is one of the reasons people stick to online shopping. Buying online saves you from driving to a store, deal with apathetic staffs, and get treated like your money means nothing to the store. Thanks Autozone, you made my day very pleasant.

I was blown away by the customer service at this place! And a special shout out to their employee ‘Summer’ for all of her help/​work. They went above and beyond and I am now a loyal customer because of it.

Called pretty early in the AM, and got a very nice man who seemed eager to help. Especially considering the hour, he was very nice and willing to look up prices for all the parts that I needed. He also immediately offered to put them on hold for me, which was awesome because most other places don’t have them in stock. I recommend this place; you may spend a few more cents than budget competitors, but it’s worth it.

Vern at Auto zone is very helpful, knowledgable about many different vehicles, and service with a smile.

I like Autozone and I’m glad to see them moving to Seattle. When I lived in Houston, I would always choose them over other auto parts stores due to great service and clean stores. They have a large inventory of parts and will give free check engine light readings to help diagnose problems. You can also sign up for a free membership card that will give you points towards store credit with every purchase of $ 20 or more.
The only thing I don’t like is that they try to push certain products on you that aren’t really necessary; it’s kind of like a featured product of the month thing like injector cleaner or something along those lines. Sure, it’s kind of annoying to have to refuse what is often an awkward offer that you can tell the employee is forced to make, but overall it’s not enough to make me want to stop shopping here.
Keep in mind that Autozone is not really a place for «hardcore» mechanics; it’s more of the husband-​handyman shop. Generally, the employees will have decent knowledge about cars, but you can tell that most of them are not highly knowledgeable about cars. Still, if you are looking to replace some of the more basic parts of a car, then this is a good place to go.

people, if you are looking for 50% lower prices better inventory, better computer system and better service than their competitor across the block. auto zone is the place.
my car broke down, it was late and we were in a tough situation having the car up and running by morning. we went to the competitor first: no parts, no service… much higher prices.
under desperate circumstances we had to be stubborn. and were fortunate enough to find Auto Zone by Fred Meyer on 185-​th and Aurora!

After 4 or 5 emergency jumps to my car in the past 2 months, I finally decided to replace my car battery. Feeling very reluctant about going to an auto store without a knowledgeable car person, I dragged my Mazda to Autozone, which recently opened near my place. I was immediately greeted by both employees and received help from one named Melvin. Now back to my reluctance about going to auto stores, I’ve found that the sales people try to push products on me or try to get me to buy the most expensive thing, knowing that I am clueless about car stuff. Melvin was very honest, showed me all my options, didn’t persuade me into buying anything I didn’t need, and was all around a super helpful and nice guy. He and the other employees helped change the battery. There is no extra charge for this service! Also, if you allow them to recycle your dead battery, then you get $ 5 off of the price of your new battery.
