Gerber Towing

I got locked out of my car with my toddler inside today. I waited forever for roadside assistance to show up. They were taking too long. A nice gentleman that was helping me called gerber and they were there in 5 mins, got me into my car quickly and didn’t even charge me. I was very impressed and grateful. Will definitely be recommending them.

I definitely would NOT advise using these guys. Was on my way into work, and the owner of the shop that this car was being towed to jump down front of me to stop traffic to get the car where he wanted it to be. I watched the guy drag this poor Saab (with seemingly no marks on it) back and forth across the curb. Not an experienced driver at all! Eeeek. Hope the owner doesn’t mind the bumper being all scratched up. It sounded bad! It took three times through the long stop light at greenwood/​85^th for him to finally get out of the way so the lined up traffic could move. Crazy.

Had my car towed here. Showed up on a Saturday to pick it up. One of the drives mentioned they didn’t have dispatch on-​site during the weekends — meaning I could pick up my car. They were very accommodating and called someone in to get my car. Great service.

Never use this company unless you want to be jerked around, taken advantage of. My daughter was in a roll over accident and the city called Gerber to remove her car after she was taken to Harborview on Saturday. I called them on Saturday to try to figure out where the car was and what I needed to do. A message was taken and I was told if get a call back. Nothing. Sunday same thing, message was taken, I was told I’d get a call. Nothing. Monday I finally was able to talk to a person at the company that told me my total was almost $ 400. 180 for the tow and storage. I was upset because I had tried to get ahold of someone prior to this «storage» charge. I asked to speak to someone else because this guy couldn’t tell me how this made sense. He said he’d have the owner call, Gary. Conveniently they were about to close and I would most likely need to wait for the next day (another charge) The next day I still haven’t heard from Gary so I called again. I was told by the same guy he tried to call me. He clearly did not. I asked for a call back. Finally Gary called. I explained my frustration with this process and my concern about the charges as I had attempted to reach them prior to getting these storage charges. He proceeds to lie and tell me he attempted to call me Saturday and Sunday. When I confronted him that I knew he was deliberately taking advantage of me he proceeded to scream and call me a F’n B! My husband called them at that point and what do you know, the coward reduced the bill… slightly. This could’ve and should’ve been handled a lot different by the owner of a company. But because it ended this way everyone I know will never use this company and the city that uses his service will know how he conducted business with me and how he treated me in this extremely stressful emotional time. I will add that not everyone there was a miserable human the lady at the desk Whitney was very apologetic for this guys verbal attack. Seemed like she’s had to apologize for him a few times.

Had a great experience with this towing company this morning.
My car needed a tow (broke down about a block from home). They estimated they’d arrive in about 1−½ to 2 hours — they were here in less than an hour, very happy about that!
And driver Zack was friendly, very nice!

My boyfriend’s car was towed out of the driveway we share with our neighbors. On Christmas Day. If that wasn’t bad enough, the company they chose turned out to be one of the worst businesses I’ve ever come across. Absolutely terrible service. We had to call three times to get any answer as to where we needed to meet them. Once we were there, we had to wait outside in the rain until someone let us in to the cigarette smoke-​filled office. We walked up to the counter and there were two people fumbling around with papers. Neither one of them acknowledged us and continued writing and looking at the computers. After about 10 minutes of being ignored, we finally interrupted to ask what was going on with the car. They asked for ID and told us that it was going to be $ 536. $ 536 for the car that was impounded for one day. Having to get your car towed is never fun, but service as awful as this only makes it worse.

I had car accident on Christmas Eve and needed to have my car taken to a body shop. The dispatcher and driver from Gerber Towing were very prompt, professional and courteous. Thank you for helping me during this very stressful time.

I have to say most places are rude when you question things about your bill. These guys didn’t they want to make sure they did things right and really made me feel like a customer. From the tow truck driver to the lot dispatcher they where very respectful and curtious. I would use them again.

I have mixed feelings about this company. My car broke down at my apartment so I called to have someone tow it to a shop. When I called, the woman was rude and really frustrating to talk to. On their web page they say that their service extends to Snohomish county, where I live. She made it seem like a huge hassle to go from Shoreline to Edmonds, even though she wasn’t the one that would be driving. Then, I gave her my phone number so that the driver could call when he got here and she said, «K,» offering no more explanation even though I had a few more questions, and hung up. For a stressful day, she made it much more stressful and sucky.
Luckily, the driver showed up in about half an hour. I didn’t think he was coming because she was so uncommunicative. But he was GREAT! His name is Ben and he was so helpful, kind and understanding. He made the last bit of the ordeal so much better. He even talked to the dealership for me. I can’t express how much I appreciate his help. As for price, it was very reasonable. Overall, it was really just the receptionist that was frustrating. But it really set the tone for the rest of the day. Ben turned it right around though.

Thank you so much Gerber towing for helping us out! My husbands cars starter went out right by our house, we live on super busy street uphill from where our car broke down and the car was heavy so we were unable to push the car up hill plus the steering locked on us.
We called 5 towing companies (one being Gerber) and they most were charging $ 87 – 97 hookup fee, plus $ 4.99−5.99 per mile and at minimum still charge a one mile even if your destination is less than one mile. Three of the companies had ridiculous fees that were included which was around $ 12 – 17.00. Having us to end up paying $ 100 – 120 in total charges to move our car literally around the corner (walking less than a minute in distance). Gerber was the ONLY towing company to have a flat rate for hookup and charged $ 5.99 for a mile but didn’t automatically charge you a minimum of $ 5.99 if you were under.
Our tow truck guy was Woody, he was so helpful! He first checked the car to see if he could get it running, he did all he could but unfortunately the car didn’t start, he hooked up the car and moved it into our tiny annoying parking spot, smile and all (great customer service, even the dispatch lady was sweet) and only charged us a hookup fee. I will recommend Gerber to everyone who needs help moving a car. They are honest, helpful, have great customer service and are quick!!! He got to us in 10 mins!!!

I had my truck die at my mothers apartment when I was helping her move. Ended up leaving the truck overnight so I could figure out where to take it for repairs and what tow company to use. The shop I was taking it to recommend Gerber. I called Gerber at 9:00 AM and set up a time for them to meet me which was 3:30 PM. I leave work early so I can be there on time and then I sit and wait. It was almost 4:00 when they called me and said they did not have any drivers available but they had a guy who starts work at 5:00. I said I will find another towing company and hung up. My phone rings back and it is the man from Gerber saying it takes a lot of balls to hang up on him… I called a different company and they had a driver out in less than an hour. I will never use Gerber again and will recommend to everyone I know not to use them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, my car was impounded due to a no D.L. and i had it full of personal belongings cause i was in the middle of moving. I went to retrieve me things the next day and everything was taken out of my car. I asked a guy on the lot «where did my tools and stuff that was in my car go» he said it was put in a safe place so it wouldn’t get stolen while it was on there lot. When I asked to retrieve my items he said «the boss has the key and he’s not here today. Can you come back tomorrow and I’ll have it ready for you to pick up?» I assumed I had no choice and left Gerber towing. I came back the following day and Over half of my things were missing, over $ 1500 worth of electronics and about $ 2000 electronic and mechanics tools. I asked him where the rest of my stuff was and he said,” that was everything that was in the car.” The guy gave me a phone number written on a torn piece of paper and told me to call it and said it was the owners number. I called several times leleaving a few messages but never got any calls back.
I came came back to Gerber towing some 3 – 4 weeks later because the city impounded another one of my vehicles. My car was still there and it was in line with others to be auctioned off. I looked inside and my tool boxes had been put back in the car but with no tools inside. I hope whoever thought they could just play grab bag gets caught and fired before they rip off the wrong person.
If your vehicle gets impounded by police or the city, consider your stuff gone… I hope this helps future customers not get ripped off like I did

Garry the owner is a scumbag. Staff is rude, unfriendly and flat out jerks. They illegally towed my car from a paid parking spot with a parking permit hanging from the rear view mirror. Clearly marked with the space number I was parked in. Called within 10 mins or my car getting towed. Didn’t get a call back for over an hour. When they said 30 mins max for a call back. Not only did I have to multiple times just to even get a response. Garry still hasn’t come down or the ONE other employee that can «release cars». I’ve been waiting right outside the gate, literally looking at my car since 10:30pm it is now 12:19am.

Came to my rescue quickly this morning when I idiotically locked myself out of my car with my baby inside — crappy feeling. They were fast, understanding and sympathetic. Maybe it’s calls like mine and other emergencies that push other calls down and make them take longer? Sorry if so, but I sure was grateful!

They charged me over $ 400 for having my car for less than 3 hours. Horrible service, everyone I have met there was extremely disrespectful and rude. Would not trust company to not go through a car.

Anthony is the bomb! AAA told me it would be 2 hours and he showed up in 15 min. He said he was supposed to take a break but didn’t want me to wait. So thankful. Fantastic service, thank you!

Came to help me unlock my car and were there within 10 minutes of my call to AAA. Very friendly and quick service. Anthony was great!

Roommate totaled his car tried to junk it and they wanted $ 277 for less than 24 hours of storage because it charges in incriminates of every 12 hours the tow was10 blocks away. These people are holding his car hostage awful family run company. Please don’t trust the drivers, they misquote on purpose just to attain the vehicles.

Gerber Towing is one word… AWSOME! I have used and worked with them multiple times over an eleven year period. They have great customer service with experience and skill. They do everything between private towing, police calls and AAA. They also perform impounds. I know that impounds are not looked at as a good thing but if you park where you’re not supposed to the oh well.

They will do what ever they can to earn your business. And by far, they have the most reasonable pricing anywhere in Seattle. Just call around and you will see.

If you need a tow in the Puget Sound then these are the people. I purchased a FREE TOW in a charity auction that the owners Terry and Gary Gerber donated to. Since then I have used them a number of times.
No need to search for anyone else… These are the guys to use.
