I’ve been here several times and usually satisfied with the food. There have been a few sub par experiences and a few really good ones. The biscuits and gravy is very good. It gets really busy on weekends though and parking can be tricky. Overall, very good service, good food and good value.

Servers were kind. Food was delicious — my vegetarian omelet was very tasty and only cost ~$ 13.00 with a black tea.

I love this place, me and my friends go there about 6:30am, and the waitress,(an older friendly woman) gives us the best service EVER! The food is excellent, it’s quiet and homey, and the Omelette’s are the greatest! They have a great breakfast cook there, everything is perfect!

Solid diner fare butt I’m docking her for what I call being Greekcheap. C’mon Leena, take note from your Greek brethren across the street and beef up(pun intended) the portions so Big Dan doesn’t leave without that being topped off feeling. Are potatoes expensive? Is pancake batter hard to come by? Would it kill you to make real Hollandaise being that you only serve eggs Benny on the weekends? Your rockin’ Denny’s quality at Greek prices(psssss– Denny’s has reopened 5 min away) 1÷19÷16 update– Here’s one that’s beyond my public school math skills: On the menu, 3 pancakes cost $ 2 more than 2 pancakes. Pancakes aren’t on the ala carte menu so one would assume based on this delta that adding a pancake to a Grand Slam(let’s call it what it is) would be… two bucks? Especially since there are all kinds of things listed on the ala carte menu(like an egg for $ 1.40, etc) butt not my beloved hotcakes. So if a plane leaves New York at 9am and charges 2 bucks for an extra pancake, is Johnny dismayed when he’s charged $ 3.50 for that extra pancake bringing the total for 3 pancakes, 2 sausage links, 2 eggs, and coffee to $ 18? For extra credit, compare/contrast the benefits(if any) of the added pancake(show your work).

I ordered the Greek Omelet. Mmm, lamb meat. Mmm, eggs. This nasty little concoction nearly made me sick. How do you mess up an omelet? The hash browns were slightly stale and hard, almost like chewing on discarded matchsticks. The only patrons were sixty-five and older and clearly have no taste buds remaining.

Pretty solid stuff. I struggled between a 3 – 4 rating but settled in with a four because I’m feeling generous. I had a custom-made omelette(bacon, jalapeños, and onions — no cheese) and my companion and I also split a waffle. The omelette was really good but the waffle was total meh.(But yeah, I ate it anyway.) Coffee was okay; certainly not memorable or the stuff of Seattle legend. Not the worst cup of java I’ve had. The atmosphere is typical old diner. Personally, I’m a fan. Nothing kitschy, nothing trendy, and not any kind of retro, «we’re trying to be vintage because vintage is cool» nonsense. This just looks like an old diner with super friendly service and pretty good chow.

This place is near my house, where I just moved to, so super convenient. Love it! Staff & service are excellent, environment is bustling & clean. Lots of seniors, singles seated at the bar, & families – which are great signs of a good diner. Food is so-so. Hollandaise sauce of the eggs beni is super thick, like gravy on biscuits. Eggs were a bit runny, scrambled were kinda hard & overdone. Prices & amount of food are a big bang for the buck. I’ll definitely go back because of the good service, atmosphere, and high food-to-low-price ratio.

Stopped by for lunch with my mom. My mom really likes the café for breakfast and wanted to try lunch. Service was very prompt with several check backs during the course of the meal. We both chose soup and salad. It came promptly with two large pieces of buttery garlic bread. I also had a cup of coffee. Total for the bill was 20.26. I would like to return to try one of their sandwiches.

This place is dangerously close to where I live and, after a few visits, this neighborhood staple is becoming my go to spot for breakfast. This is classic diner fare with big plates, great service, and a fun atmosphere that is about as local as it gets. I would guess that the wait staff knows at least half the people that walk in the door by name although they treat everyone as if they were life long friends. My favorite item here so far is the ham and cheese omelette which is just about big enough to fill a plate on it’s own, but they somehow manage to fit a pile of hash browns on there as well so you are pretty much guaranteed to be stuffed by the end of your meal. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of pancakes and only eat them once in a big while, but the ones they serve here are so light, fluffy, and delicious, I’m sure they have found a way to stuff true happiness into each and every one. The layout is very spacious with two large dining areas packed with booths and tables both of which are surrounding a counter/bar area which seems to be the prime hang out spot for a lot of people. Even during the peak busy times, you won’t be waiting too long for a table as they do have plenty to go around. That being said, I’ve managed to figure out the slower times so I can walk right in and not have to wait at all for a prime table. If you live anywhere between downtown Seattle and Everett, this place is definitely worth a visit, just make sure you bring a hearty appetite and be ready to have a good time. You will not be disappointed.

Always happy I chose to come here and will be back again. They have low prices and lots of options for people who don’t want to eat a huge breakfast. Only been here for breakfast so can’t comment on the food for lunch or dinner but I bet the service is the same, great!

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, and all the waitresses are extremely nice. It is a little loud, but the food makes up for it. Their breakfast food is absolutely amazing. I would give this place 5 stars if not for the slow. Service. Every time I come here, even during non-peak hours, the speed of the service is always pretty slow.

First time back here in 3 years. Came for breakfast. Since my last time was for dinner, and I thought that maybe their specialty was breakfast, I came for that meal today. Well, my breakfast was so bland, so uninspiring, so unimaginative. Just basic 2 fried eggs, bacon, toast and fruit cup. The fruit cup was canned grapes and canned pineapple with the tiniest morsels of cantaloupe you ever saw. The bacon was palatable as were the eggs and toast, but I would be embarrassed to call this a real breakfast. What is evident last time and now is they are totally into canned fruits and vegetables and not much effort at all. No more try’s for Leena

Popped in here for a little Saturday morning brekky since we were in the neighborhood. 1950’s diner feel with a good selection of breakfast items & tasty BIG homemade cinnamon rolls. They were busy, but there was only two of us so were seated pretty quickly, however, we could have ponied up the bar/counter and sat down lickity split… One of us ordered a simple easy over eggs with hash and toast and the other had the ‘petit’ veggie scramble. Nothing fancy on the presentation, but it came quickly and tasted fine(and there was enough veggie scramble to take home and have the next morning!). They only serve drip coffee, which was a downer for one of us. Our server was perky and the register guy friendly. If you’re in the area it’d be a fine place for breakfast, but it’s not a destination drive…

A staple of the North City neighborhood of Shoreline but likely because there are not many other breakfast places nearby. In the last 6 months, it seems to have gotten worse here. Service is extremely slow and a lot of times the fold shows up cold or undercooked. Who doesn’t like cold slimy eggs and soggy spongy toast? A few of the servers are just as sweet as can be but the cranky ones way outnumber them. One of the women who works the register can frequently be heard loudly complaining about her day and customers.

Delicious breakfast/brunch options and a whole lot to choose from! The restaurant is family run and seems like the clientele has been coming here for a long time. Apparently, the family that owns it also owns a few other breakfast joints in the city. I really enjoyed the Greek-inspired eggs Benedict with gyro meat and some goat cheese. That was unique and unlike anything I’ve had before in a Benedict, but a great combination! My partner ordered the chicken fried steak and that was pretty good too. They’re pretty heavy on the sauce, just an FYI. The ambience and décor feels like an old school diner which is pretty neat, and love that they have parking.

Leena’s is a typically diner. It’s in a funky spot — 15th Ave and 177th(ish), and there are not a lot of restaurants around so it gets busy. I don’t think it has anything special about it, which is why I only gave three stars. They do have a large menu, which makes ordering helpful. The food is usually predictable — fresh, diner food. The wait staff are usually very sweet and courteous. The prices don’t warrant the quality or uniqueness of the food. I don’t enjoy generous portions, so I’m glad they offer petite orders.

«This is what Denny’s and Shari’s are trying to be.» «What? Why would any want to be this?» Because it has that warm neighborhood feel with kitschy booth chairs and waitresses who refer to you as «sweetie» and the food, while never anything exciting, is always exactly what you expect. It makes me think this is what diners — before they become decrepit and ignored by everyone but elderly loyal patrons — are meant to be like. In an time when every foodie is just a little bit too hipster, these establishments don’t get a whole lot of love anymore. But I approve! I’ve been here a handful of times since high school and every single time, you get exactly what you expect and want. The food isn’t mindblowing but it’s good. The portions are quite generous. The place is always(surprisingly) crowded but there’s never longer than a couple minute wait.

Leenas is a family favorite. Our children have severe allergies and the kitchen does a great job caring for them. The whole staff are incredibly friendly. We especially love Suzy, she took the time to memorize our kids names, allergies and favorite dishes. It’s a rare local place that’s totally worth your time. — the family of 5 with twins.

I moved to Seattle at the end of August and was informed by my landlord that the refrigerator was on its last legs. Naturally, I made this an excuse to spend my first two weeks here in power-foodie mode. The portions are indeed very large but the quality could be slightly slightly higher. The hollaindaise sauce on my eggs benedict(Santorini) was way too thick and reminded me more of gravy in terms of consistency than anything else. Friendly staff and nice neighborhood but I can’t say it was much higher than a typical diner breakfast. Who knows, other meals/options may fare better.
