Super amazing and fun times with Clif. I’m a hairstylist from out of town and I know how it can be doing another stylist hair. We make bad clients.lol. Clif was amazing, we both had the same vision going in and in 15 years in the industry, he gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had in a long time.
We had a blast, he is so much fun and personable and it felt like I was hanging out with an old friend.
Being in the same industry, I know how hard it is to find a stylist that’s a keeper. He is. Next time I’m down in Shoreline, I will be going to see him.
Salon itself was warm, cozy and very comfortable. Easy to find, great parking and friendly staff.
Kudos to management as well for a fine running business. Try them out. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Clif! You are amazing!!! Muah!

Super fantastic cut from Troy. He was delightful to spend time with and is very experienced. He was willing to come in early to get me in last minute and I was very grateful. i look forward to working with him in the future!

It was great, they shop at my store, my hair was a little shorter then I would have liked it because I’m so attached to my long hair. BUT I got so many compliments on my hair! I’m a fan!

I’m so glad I found this place! I’ve seen Troy several times over the last couple years and it’s always a fun and upbeat experience. All the stylists here seem to be having a blast and I think that says a lot about the owner, Stephen. He is a funny and kind person and clearly cares a lot about everyone who comes through the doors. The prices are reasonable, and Troy really listens and is careful to not do anything too drastic if you don’t want him to. He’s the first stylist I’ve been to that measures how long my layers need to be to still fit nicely into a ponytail without pins! Excellent attention to detail. Also there’s frequently a sweet and mellow doggie that hangs around the salon, and in my book a shop dog is an asset to any business! It has a classic salon ambience while still being very down to earth. Awesome!

I just have to say that it’s worth the drive to Salon Stephen Crago in Shoreline even in traffic after work. Everyone is so nice there and I just love Troy! Really fun, not horribly expensive and he does an amazing job. So glad a friend of mine recommended him and this place. The woman that does my eyebrows is really awesome too. Very impressed and will keep coming back.

I highly recommend this salon, especially Clif Anthes, for gorgeous hair color and an overall welcoming, fun experience. I needed ‘hairapy’ and contacted the salon based on another friend’s advice. They got me in within a few days and made my grey hair disappear without making me feel guilty for letting it go. All of the other stylists I watched work and spoke to were friendly and sweet as well as Clif. They always offer tea or water and greet you with a smile. Clif has worked his hair magic on me twice in the past few months and I will definitely stay with this salon long term. And for $ 105 for a beautiful hair color that looks natural yet fun, it’s hard to beat!

I came to Stephen’s salon an hour after a terrible haircut north down the road that had left my hair in a total mess. I didn’t know how the salon worked so I sat down in the extremely comfortable couch area and grabbed a magazine and some coffee. 45 minutes passed and nothing had happened, except a few strange looks from stylists who came over for water. After an hour Stephen came over and asked if I was waiting for someone for a cut, since he didn’t recognize me. I explained my predicament and Stephen started apologizing for not coming over sooner. I would have been absolutely happy to pay for my haircut, but Stephen decided that instead of taking his lunch break, he was going to cut my hair for free (and trim up my beard). That’s over $ 50 usually. The whole time he was cordial, happy, and kind. We chatted as the stylist and client should, and I walked out a happy camper.
Definitely won a lifetime customer.

In a word, Salon Stephen Crago is FABULOUS! I have been going to Stephen for over 10 years. He is not only an extremely talented hair dresser, but a wonderful human being. He takes time to make sure your hair is exactly how you want it. His enthusiasm for his work is something to be envied. I have attempted other hair dressers when I went away to college, but no one has been able to leave me with what I had hoped for.
I strongly recommend Salon Stephen Crago to everyone!

I came to Salon Stephen Crago to get my awful haircut (from a horrible, cheapo strip-​mall salon) fixed. I wish I’d come here sooner! What a difference, and what a great find. The shop is unassuming from the outside, and a little hard to spot from the street, but inside it’s lovely and professional, with wood beams in the ceiling, an antique barber chair in the corner, and a welcoming atmosphere. My stylist was Clif, and he did an amazing job fixing my horrible botched haircut, leaving me with the best look I’ve had in years. He suggested a color treatment that would be subtle and still cover up some of my encroaching grey, and I swear, when he was done I looked ten years younger. While I was waiting for the color to process, I had a quick eyebrow wax which also turned out wonderfully. I’m so glad I found this place.
