Great small hair salon. She did an awesome job, was quick and very nice. Don’t waste your money next door. Beware, you will probably need an appointment.

Second haircut here and I’ll definitely be coming back. They do high quality work, are quick and efficient, and the prices are great. The first time I had them imitate a cut from a picture, and the second time just gave a general description of what I wanted. Both times I’ve been very happy!

I took a photo with me to show her the cut I’d like to have. She started cutting and waalaa… closest a stylist can get to the photo! She is amazing and prices are jaw-dropping good. I am not a friend of the owner — I am an ordinary human who wants a good hair cut and I took a chance after searching Unilocal in my neighborhood and looking for good reviews. I’m glad I found T&D Hair Design. It is next door to Central Market-Shoreline.

I returned today for yet another fabulous cut! This is now«My Salon». I love what you do with my hair! I have curly hair. which is unpredictable. You have the expertise and can predict what these crazy curls will do. Every cut that you’ve ever done… I’ve loved. Thank you!!!

Cut it a little shorter than I believe I asked for but she did a phenomenal job nonetheless. Definitely knew what she was doing, super quick, and the price can’t be beat for the quality provided.

I have been getting my Hair cut by Thuy for 10 years now and she is the best. She also cuts my wife’s hair. She is always timely and professional. I recommend you make an appointment as she is much busier now than she was 10 years ago, but worth the wait. Thanks Thuy!

Since moving up to the Shoreline/Seattle area I have taken my two boys here 3 times and loved how fast and good the owner is. She always seems to be able to fit us in even if we don’t have an appointment. But, I would recommend calling to make an appointment because she does tend to fill up pretty quickly. We will for sure go back for my boys haircuts.

I’ve always been very picky about my hair and even when I’ve gotten a good haircut I’ve never been happy with it walking out. It’s always taken a day or two to like it. Today, as soon as Twee told me to put my glasses on and see the cut, it was perfect. And the price was great:16 for the cut, some layering, even putting in the product and styling it for me. I just brought in a picture of what I wanted, and walked out with exactly what I had in mind. I can’t say enough good things.

Who are these other Unilocalers ??? Friends of the owner??? Seems like fake reviews for the most part… Seriously…skilled…quality…YOUMUSTBEKIDDING !!! I usually go to places such as Vain, Gary Manuel or Bocz and pay around $ 50 for a haircut. But from time to time, I would try out a deal elsewhere… endlessly trying to save some money and find a hidden gem… Anyhow, being new in the area, I decided to explore, saw the rave reviews, thought why not, called and got an appointment with Thuy the next day. My experience: — No hair washing(there are no wash basins). Water is sprayed on your hair. — No styling. She didn’t even dry my hair!!! — I was careful not to ask for anything complicated given the type of salon. Thuy spent 10 minutes the most on my hair. She sprayed water and basically chopped off my hair here and there. She doesn’t even know how to layer !!! — Cheap but is it really the case given the service and skills?(or lack of that is…) I ended up with one of the MOSTAWFULHAIRCUTS I’ve ever had in my life! ENDSOFMYHAIRARESTICKINGOUTWEIRDLY… So here I am, having to wear my hair in a ponytail at all times until my next haircut elsewhere. Good lesson for me: you get what you pay for, you get what you pay for, you get what you pay for… Rating: MINUS5STARS if I could…

So I moved here from California about a month ago and had my hair cut right before I left cause I was anxious about having to find another barber. After reading the positive reviews of Twee(sp?) on Unilocal I decided to give the place a try. Needless to say all the positive reviews are correct! Twee is a very low key, friendly, professional lady with an easy going personality which was great. I never felt worried or anxious about my haircut, which is a first since I have several cowlicks that almost ensure a bad haircut if the person doesn’t know what they’re doing. I will definitely be back in 3 weeks! Oh yea, I would like to mention my previous place in Cali was a salon and I paid $ 30 + tip. I didn’t mind paying that much because I had someone I trusted. As mentioned in another review Twee’s prices are a STEAL so please tip accordingly. The peace of mind is well worth it!

The absolute best haircut I’ve ever received in my life! What a wonderful experience. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I haven’t had my hair cut in two years so I was a little nervous. I appreciated the fact that I told her I only wanted an inch, and she told me that I really needed an inch and a half due to the ends being dead and dry. I respected her opinion and went ahead with her suggestion. I’m glad I did! I went home and styled my hair and I can’t stop touching it :) She did a fabulous job! When she washed my hair, she massaged my head and my forehead and my temples which was awesome. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because the décor could use a little updating. I felt like the place didn’t really have a salon feel. But it won’t stop me from going there over and over again and it shouldn’t stop you either! Also, I wanted to say that it was the amazing Thuy who cut my hair :)

I just had my hair done by Thuy. I came here after I had my most horrible hair cut done in other place. She was able to correct, and did a good job overall. At least I can make it through the month and not wear a hat . The price is very fair and she cuts hair professionally. I wont return most likely because I used to more creative approach with European fashion style line. Definitely this place is perfect if you want a nice, clean hair cut, but seems I am still looking for a Master. Used to have my hair done in Abbotsford, BC, by Aaron at Aeon Hair Design and after I moved to Seattle have difficulty of finding the stylist I like. I liked that Thuy is not chatting much. Big plus. P. S. Just washed my hair because it’s very rare when I like the product smell on my hair and changed four stars to five stars in my review. After I washed it I can say, that Thuy corrected my horrible cut very well and it looks good and very acceptable ! I would recommend this place.

Thank you Unilocalers! This was my first visit to T & D Hair Design, however I have had Thuy(pronounced ‘Twee’) when she was cutting hair somewhere else. I had always liked my haircuts from her, so I was happy to find her again. She was nice enough to fit me in, but I called first. I have two boys that need cuts as well, so this will be my default for the foreseeable future. If you want a consistent, well priced cut, come here. Like others have suggested, please tip well if you like your cut!

I am a 24 year old male and I usually don’t like getting haircuts so I put them off for as long as possible. Since finding T & D Salon I am a changed man. I really enjoy getting my haircut here because Twee(sp?) is extremely skilled and efficient. She cuts my hair perfectly every time, paying attention to details. Really excellent quality for very low price($ 16). Love this place!

So, I needed a haircut because I was starting to look like a female chewbacca. Ok… my hair wasn’t that bad, but after a certain length, my hair starts to knot, split ends become the norm, and, overall, my hair looks noticeably thinner up top due to the weight with a tangled mess towards the end. Anywhooo…I decided to give this place a try because I was going to be at Central Market doing some shopping anyways. AND I love it! Unsurprisingly, since it’s a Saturday, they had a long wait list, but they managed to squeeze me in at 4:30PM. The two women there certainly know how to cut hair. They’re also very sweet and they don’t try to engage in overly-personal small talk like some hair salon places or push hair product sales. Overall, great experience! I’ll definitely be back :)

So we came to this place because of its rave reviews and well, they were pretty much right on the money. The hair cut was PERFECT and might i say BETTER than the place we were originally going to for like 3 years. Definitely our new spot. She knows cuts, she gets a vision and just goes for it. Not super chatty either, which we personally enjoy lol. Prices are good too. we paid 16 bucks, however that’s JUST a cut no shampoo or anything so for the girls i think it was 19 for shampoo & cut and 21 or so for shampoo, cut and style(not entirely positive on that one). So yea overall if your looking for a new place to get your hair done try this one FIRST :)

I needed a major cut(shoulder length to Jennifer Lawrence pixie), and based on all of these five-star reviews, I came here. All I can say is: the five stars are well earned! Thuy looked at the photos I’d brought in, then adapted the look to my face shape, hair texture, and preferred way of wearing it. She noticed where my hair waves and cowlicks in awkward ways, and skillfully worked around those challenges. She consulted with me several times during the process to make sure I was on board with her suggestions. The end result is marvelous! She also talked with me about which styling products to use, without pushing me to buy any of the ones she has on hand — a welcome relief after years of being a customer at pricey salons that practically guilt you into purchasing. $ 16 is a steal. I’d give six stars if I could, and I’ll be back here for sure.

It feels like I’m parroting Laura B.‘s review but my experience is similar. We needed a closer place for haircuts so we turned to good old Unilocal for help. Based on the reviews, we decided to give Thuy a try. So far, he’s been back multiple times and been pleased each time with his hair cut and facial hair trim. I will go to my hair salon for my dyeing needs(seriously, nuclear red doesn’t come easy with naturally black hair) but for my next hair trim, I’m definitely going to Thuy! Yes, it’s located in a strip mall and it’s nothing fancy. But do you really want to pay $ 50 for a hair trim? If so, rock on with your ballin’ self and leave this place for us. She must be doing something right, her former employer Supercuts has since closed and T & D are the sole salon in that centre. She takes walk-ins but you can also schedule an appointment. Be patient if there’s folks in front of you and for goodness sakes, tip her well. You’re saving SO much on the haircut that we want her to stay around!
