These guys are the WORST. I bought a battery from them and when I started having issues with my car not starting I took it in to have it tested, they said the battery was fine. They suggested other places to take my car to test for other issues. Turns out after months and wasted time, energy, and more money on Lyft and Über rides, I took it into another auto body shop to test for an electrical draw or otherwise, shockingly, it was the battery after all! So now of course I want a refund for this piece of shit battery, let alone my time wasted and now another auto body expense to pay… BUT the store manager basically said I should have brought the car back again to have it tested OR should have had it towed to them for them to exchange the battery rather than getting a new one elsewhere. Because that makes sense. Thanks for nothing sears. Small claims court here we come!

Online reservation service worked great. I have been coming here for my car’s oil changes for almost 4 gears now. I really appreciate the knowledgeable and friendly service. Cameron is awesome!

This place is a total rip off. My battery didn’t start five times over six months. I explained it away, the radio had been on the lights had been on but finally nothing was on and I was stranded in a place without a jump. I had the battery changed not a trouble since. I took the defective Die Hard battery back to this Sears and they told me they’d have to check it and it would take an hour. I asked what the remedies might be and the guy looked at me like I was speaking Hindi. They concluded the battery was fine no warranty no refund. What a rip off a to z.
These people are so shifty. He told me he’d have to check «which warranty» my two year old battery with less than 7000 miles on it!
I stopped going there when they told me my brake pads were worn and dangerous only to go to another shop that said I had tens of thousands of miles on the brakes depending on how I drove. They need to be stopped.
DO not go there. They are cheaters and take advantage of even those who are older and educated. I have written the attorney general about their deceptive practices that are standard operating procedure.
Would it have been so hard to at least say sorry when a gal comes in toting a dead battery that had been more than an inconvenience. I could have got a replacement battery maybe from them but it was work $ 100 not to have to wait around for their slow disinterested ways. The customer is not first in any stretch of the imagination at this place.
Run fast and don’t go back!

I came here for an oil change, thought I’d try it out since it was on my way to the gym and slightly cheaper than my normal place. But was completely unimpressed. So I had called up prior to coming to 1) find out the price and 2) find out if they require a reservation or I should just come in. The guy I talked to on the phone asked when I was coming in and I said in an hour & he said «just come in» which was what I did. I had to stand at the counter for 30 minutes to just confirm the price, ask them how long it would take, and hand them my keys. 30 minutes is outrageous, especially since I have back problems and can’t stand for long periods of time. There were only 2 people ahead of me, but the guy kept running out of the office and into the car bay. Finally get to talk to someone, but he was so rushed that I didn’t even ask all my questions. Sat in the cold waiting room reading my book and unfortunately my cell phone died (and they didn’t have an outlet to charge my phone). It took me over two hours to get this oil change, so by the time it was finally finished, even though I was already in my gym clothes, there wasn’t enough time now to go to the gym before work. So I guess if you don’t have a lot of money, but have many hours free to sit around and do nothing, and up for bad customer service, then this is the place for you. Maybe they just want you to walk around the store and buy things? Definitely recommend going to Precision Tune or Jiffy Lube instead where it only take 20 min or 60 minutes if it’s crazy busy and there are like 6 people ahead of you.

I just moved from CA and needed to get my car serviced. I’m still covered under warranty for a few services so I had to find a Sears Auto Center. The check in desk is really slow, but they apologized for the delay and didn’t hide that they were busy. (You know saying it’s a 5 minute wait, but it’s actually 30 minutes). They seem short-​staffed in that aspect, but I’m pretty patient. Others were not so much, but I typically plan on waiting a few hours anytime I get my car serviced appointment or not.
The guy that helped me, Hamzeh, was really helpful though. He went through my past services, listened to my concerns and relayed the information to the tech specialist. Afterwards, I found out I needed my struts replaced, but if I did it today I could be waiting around for a few hours so he suggested I come back next weekend and it would be better. The tech recommended a tune up, but without knowing why my car was shutting off randomly, they actually recommended another place that might be able to help and told me to hold off on the tube up service.
I was waiting for about 2 ½ hours for a Multi-​point inspection and a realignment, which I thought was fine considering they drove my car for about 20 min trying to assess the problem.
Overall, I gave 4 stars for the great customer service and seemingly honest opinion, advice and suggestions. I really appreciated it and makes me feel better about coming back. If you have the patience to wait, or want to do some shopping at Sears or Marshalls, or central market you should be fine! If you don’t have patience, bring a friend or drop it off and come back for it later. Expect a few hours.

I needed some minor tire work and went to 2 other places (one national brand, one small brand) and called a used tire shop. Sears was the cheapest and the used tire shop a close second.
The quality of work was good. The man actually doing the work said that he would watch out for certain things that I know someone should do, so he’s either a very good worker or, at least, knows how good work is supposed to be done.
The check in process is a little slow. If the owner ran the shop, they’d probably take your order and immediately start work, not wait around at a post office pace. I think there were either 4 or 5 people working and only one other car there, so there didn’t seem to be a backlog.

This center has definitely improved over the last year. I have been a few times and had not had good experiences, but decided to give them one more chance since I had had a very good experience at the Everett Mall Sears Auto Center.
They did a LOT of work on my car for a very reasonable price. Came in for an oil change and asked them to check my breaks which I could tell were not right. Found out the back shoes were totally cracked. They spent a lot of time fixing this and gave me a bunch of free coupons to bring the cost down a bit.
I was very happy with the customer service. David, one of the mechanics, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and followed up regularly with the progress. When the car was done, I went to get it and they told me the mechanic had accidentally gone home with my keys and they were super apologetic and gave me a $ 20 discount for my inconvenience. Luckily my husband had an extra key and was there so it wasn’t a problem. But they did really go out of their way to apologize and compensate me for it. Accidents happen, no biggie.
The only problem with this center which I have consistently found is the inordinate amount of time you spend waiting to get checked in and out. It’s quite ridiculous and they really need to do something about it. They seem to always be short staffed and on the weekends, people do not want to spend a ½ hour waiting to be checked in for a simple oil change. I have left a few times frustrated with the waiting. Either get more staff or find a more efficient check in/​check out system because it is losing you a lot of business!
Overall, was very happy with my most recent experience here and will be back. I trust Sears more than my rip off Ford dealer to fix any problems I have.

We’ve been back to Sears Auto Center several times for our cars (mostly tires). The last time we were here was. well, the last time. It was within 1.5hrs of closing up shop on a Saturday. I called ahead and was assured that they could put tires on it about 40mins.
We get there, chat with a fellow on his break who was super friendly and helpful. We were feeling good. But then he handed us off to someone else (person #2), and that person handed us off again (person #3), so things started going downhill fast. In between persons #2 and #3 were several minutes where we both were standing in their warehouse pacing and generally looking like: «HELLO, need some help!» while I saw three employees talking with one customer.
I think the last guy we were stuck with was new because he kept running away to ask someone else a question, then running back, and writing things down on slips of paper. And finally we were given back to the 2^nd guy who was looking up things in their inventory, which was both slow and inaccurate. For each tire that came up as a match for our car, he had to go and check in the warehouse if they had it.
They did not have it. He did this THREE times.
Finally, on the last attempt and our tolerance evaporated, he offered us a price cut on some more expensive tires… but only if they had them.
We turned around and left. It took 45mins to get nothing accomplished.

I went in today needing 4 brand new tires. The guy, Abel (?) who helped me, was great. I was fresh from a competitor (whom I was prepared to buy the tires from), but he was kind of a prick, so I took the business elsewhere. I’m really glad I did. I ended up paying less than the competitor had quoted me, and I was in/​out in an hour. I work in the service industry, and it’s truly not the item you’re buying, it’s the experience. And Sears treated me well.

Sears Auto is always a economical and smart choice, Shoreline and elsewhere. Gledjan & David were both helpful despite juggling several things at once. Service time was exactly what you would expect it to be for replacing tires (~2 hours flat). There was even a customer special today and I got money back (!) on my tire and service purchase.

I took my car there for alignment, because they got the Hunter machine and also the price is the lowest to my knowledge.
This place is busy most of the time so do call them before you go. The first time I planned to go, first called them, they told me to come around 2:30pm. I called again at 3pm and they said they were all free so come along. I had my alignment down within 1 hour.
Later I spotted a mild shake when the car goes between 55−70mph. I took the car back first thing in the morning on Saturday (they open at 8am and told me to show up at 7:55am so they will make sure they’ll work on my car fist).The checked/​tested the car and found out it’s a loose bolt on the front bushing of the lower control arm.
They put a big clean cup board on the ground, so that I can lie besides the car and saw the loosed part while the mechanic turned the wheel left and right. They retightened the bolt for me (which includes taking off the 18-​pound belly pan first). The whole diagnosis&fix process took more than one hour and it was free of charge.
The mechanic’s name is Andy and the manager (?) at the counter is Greg. I felt I was treated very well by them. Knowledgable, and has the patience to listen to me first, and explan to me later.

Tire replacement for slow leak. How come Goodyear (or Sears?) only gives 30% credit for a bad tire that still has 80% (⁸⁄₃₂) tread left? You should get 80% credit against a replacement. Purchased full set of tires from them and now this is the treatment I got.
And they didn’t honor their own road hazard warranty that they said they would on the phone before I came in.
I could have saved a lot of time and just gone to the local tire store had I known the Sears wasn’t going to honor their word.

Excellent. I’ve bought 2 tires on 2 separate occasions and had them installed here. David the service advisor is super helpful and knowledgable. Also, their prices for Goodyear tires were better than Goodyear Service Centers.

Don’t go here. These people are not professional and unorganized. I was quoted 60 to 90 minutes for oil change and tire rotation. I came back in 90 minutes and they hadn’t started. They offered a free future oil change, but I declined. A few months ago, I inquired about a timing belt. I wad misquoted by $ 300, but went elsewhere. Not going here again for anything. Just heard they had an accident with another customer’s car. At least they admitted to it. But its just too many negatives for me. They also admitted that the guy who Does the timing belt had only completed one ever and said I might want to go the Lynnwood location where they have more experience. Ad much as I appreciate the honesty, I’m scared to take my car here.

We own one car, drive a few thousand miles a year, and buy tires once every decade or so. I know nothing about tires other than what I read in Consumer Reports. For people like me, Sears is probably a good place to go shopping.
Shopping for tires kind of sucks because the same tires have different names in different stores, and all places seem like they are trying to rip you off. Tires are like mattresses in that regards: they are freaking expensive and sold by generally shady people.
After checking out a few places we ended up at Sears Auto Center, and I was totally happy with the experience. Sears didn’t try to up-​sell me on all kinds of service packages and add-​ons, nor did they try to get me to buy fancier tires than I need. It did take them several hours to put them on, but I figure that is a necessary evil.

I have found my new place for car maintenance!
Oh, and I am a woman :)
I got an alignment, oil change, tire rotation, and new air filter here for a very reasonable price.
I also got a new battery here a while back.
Firstly, I LIKE the prices.
And personally, when I’m talking service shops /​mechanic shops, I prefer a corporate environment vs. a small shop who seem to pull their prices out of their arsses, which makes me terribly uncomfortable.
All the guys I’ve dealt with here have been very nice.
I love their hours. They stay open until 9 on weekdays and they’re open weekends, too. So as a working girl, being about to swing by my car late in the evening for maintenance is helpful.
I didn’t feel pressured to do more than necessary to my car. I didn’t feel taken advantage of.
They’re definitely kind of your stripped down, to the basics kinda place. But I like that. I don’t mind that you don’t take appointments, that you aren’t going to wash my car or anything, or that you had me take a customer service survey on your grimy man computer at the end. I will take all of that over going to some shop that makes me feel taken advantage of.

I read another review saying DO NOT GO HERE especially if you are a woman and now I see why!
They broke a piece off of my car during a routine oil change and tried to blame it on whoever changed my oil last. IT WAS THEM!
The manager denied this saying they didn’t use that type of oil filter. As if I was making it up?!
My car sat up on the rack for 45 minutes until I finally went out into the shop to ask what was going on!
When I asked why no one told me there was a problem the manager said it wouldn’t have fixed the problem.
It would have helped me fix a problem! The fact that I was now late to pick my son up from his first day of school!!!
I had to have a tow truck come to take my car after it was shoved out into the parking lot and give me a ride to get a rental car.
My car is now in the shop having the damage that Sears did fixed.
The so called manager is the rudest, most arrogant ass I have ever seen in my life!

Now I’ve given this place plenty of chances to win me over and win me back. This isn’t just based on one experience, but a good number of visits.
In California, I always would go to Sears as I trusted them the most to handle my car. This location has lost my trust forever. I brought my car in for an oil change and told the guy to take a good look at everything as I was preparing for a long drive to California and wanted to make sure it was in top shape. They changed the oil and said everything was good.
Well when I got to California, my car suddenly was leaking oil like crazy. I stopped off to have it looked at and the place showed me that the oil pan plug was missing the washer and had some kind of a rigged piece to try and seal it. This place, not only replaced my oil plug but they also topped off my oil for free.
During another visit to this store (as I wanted to give them a second chance) one of the mechanics told me my brake pads were worn down and I’d need to change them and that I should do it today.
I thought I had to get a second opinion. So I took my car to Meineke and told him I had someone say my pads were worn down. The guy at Meineke came back in and told me I had 60% of my pads left and that I didn’t need to change them for a while.
That was it for me. I can’t trust a place that causes more trouble for my car and tries to sell me on something I don’t need.

They stuck to their estimate… and they cost HALF of what the dealer estimated for me.
I am so pleased with these guys. And David, on the weekend, is cute (yes, they’re open on the weekends).

Do NOT go here, especially if you are a woman. They will blame you for problems they cause and then ignore you if you bring a man with you.
I came here to do a routine battery replacement and they blew a fuse and then blamed it on me. I had to leave my car there and bus it back to work for an hour. For the next few days, it was challenging to connect with them on the phone. They finally got a part in (which they claimed was only available at my car maker’s dealership and suddenly they got it) and then blew the fuse AGAIN. They then owned up to the possibility they could have blown the original fuse and then said they would pay for the repairs. After some negotiating, they agreed to reimburse me for my original battery costs. When I returned to pick up my car, the staff left the car headlights on and the battery was dead AGAIN! I then had to wait another hour and a half for them to charge the battery.
To top it all off, the mechanic there knew the car was mine (I am a female) and he only spoke to my boyfriend and even handed him the keys to start the car again, when I had signed all the paperwork and dealt with them over the phone. It was terribly sexist.
