Simple Joys

Came on time, worked hard on a steep steep roof, cleaned roof peak to gutters, hosed down any messes, finished with a moss treatment. Prices were reasonable, work was done to my satisfaction. I will be using Jeremy again! Nice guy!

These guys always clean my windows, always will. Great work and reasonable. Last time, I accidentally stood them up and wasn’t home. Was in a panic because I had people coming and wanted clean windows. They actually came and cleaned the outside anyway and apologized for not being able to do the inside. Saved the day.

This is the 3^rd year in a row we have used Simple Joys for window cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. They have always been punctual and have done good work in a timely fashion at a fair price. We have referred them to the neighbors in our townhouse quad and they have also been pleased. We will definitely be calling Simple Joys again next year!

I was very pleased with Simple Joys. They came right on time and seemed to do a very adequate job. They did not go above their quoted price which can be very rare for technicians these days. My roof and gutters look great.

I had Simple Joys come out for a gutter cleaning and treatment for moss. THe technician came within the 2 hour window and promptly got to work. He was professional and efficient and explained exactly what was going to happen.
My gutters were air blown clean and he did a great job with that.
The roof treatment was to scrape off what he could and let the ZINC treatment do the rest. It looks like he applied a generous amount of the treatment so hopefully in a few weeks the moss will be gone.
I was charged 245 for both jobs, a very reasonable amount based on pricing with other companies that do the same jobs.
Pending success of ZINC treatment, I will change rating to 5.

In getting my house ready for sale, was advised by Realtor to clean roof, gutters and pressure wash driveway & sidewalks ASAP! In calling different companies for quotes, my calls were either not returned timely &/​or the quotes were quite high. No one took time to explain what to expect until I spoke w/​Jeremy @ Simple Joys. He returned my urgent call & was extremely kind & supportive about my unwanted move. His website showed before & after shots so I had a sense of what to expect. Even so, Jeremy explained what could and could not result which I found quite helpful. ***MY REALTOR AND I WERE STUNNED AT THE EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS!*** Way down the block, you could see the glistening sidewalks. Embarrassing to admit, I had never pressure washed in 30 years and the previously gray/​black driveway with car oil spills and stains LOOKED BRAND NEW! I had explained how picky I was about my gardens. They were undisturbed after the superb roof and gutter work. My neighbors and friends have requested his professional work. NOTHING could have been done better! I CANNOT RECOMMEND SIMPLE JOYS HIGHLY ENOUGH FOR THEIR PROFESSIONALISM, COURTESY AND UNBELIEVABLY DETAILED RESULTS. My Realtor said the improved value far outweighed the costs for the ‘street appeal.’

I had Simple Joys out to clean my roof on July 8, 2011. They scraped off the larger moss pieces and treated it with zinc powder. I told them that the little bit of zinc they put on will not clear all the moss off. They said it would and that if it was not clear in a month or so to call them and they’d come back out. It is now August 23^rd and the moss is still heavily residing on my roof. When I called I received a response stating they do not guarantee their work and that my moss will come off eventually. Now I’ll have to hire someone else to kill the moss on my roof. I hired them due to the reviews here on Unilocal.I can only guess that these reviews are «fixed» by the company. Bad, bad service and a total waste of money!!!

Simple Joys was supposed to come by my house between 11:30am and 1:30 pm to clean my gutters and windows. They never showed. When we called the office to find out where they were, they said they would find out and give us a call. After another 30 minutes go by, we hear absolutely nothing. So I called again and they still don’t know what’s going on. Finally, we hear back only to find out that they never even put us on the calendar, and to call the office if we want to reschedule. Why would I want to reschedule? I basically wasted my entire afternoon for nothing.

I highly recommend Simple Joys — Pressure Washing, Window Cleaning & Gutters. My real estate clients have used this company to prepare their homes for sale and been completely satisfied. I personally hired them to clean both the inside and outside of my own homes windows. They were on time, efficient, cleaned up when they were done and left my windows sparkling.
