Hired them to increase my heat and AC efficiency by insulating and air sealing my house. They asked me if I used my attic as storage and I said yes. They asked me to clear it out while they worked then proceeded to blow insulation over the top of EVERYTHING. Covered my storage boards covered my junction boxes and even covered my recessed light canisters which is a MAJOR fire hazard and illegal. Not to mention their contract said they would put helmets over the lights which when questioned they claimed they did but I just couldn’t see it under the insulation. This was a bold faced lie. Their «air sealing» could have been done better if I gave an 8 year old a can of expandable foam. They left a huge mess of orange foam dripping down my garage and basement walls and even dripping out of my bathroom exhaust fan. They never addressed window or doorways which they claimed they would. They even tried to tell me after that it didn’t matter because with the attic insulated better there was nowhere for the air to go so it wouldn’t come through gaps around the doors. They told me they’d be replacing my attic stairs but instead just glued a foam board over it preventing me from accessing my attic and acted as if that was what we discussed in the first place. They NEVER even came through with their high tech equipment they so proudly boast about on their website to check for problem areas. They just came in to wing it as they went. They worked together with service professionals plumbing (who was responsible for replacing my furnace) it was truly the worst experience I have ever had with contractors. Not only would I not recommend them if i knew someone having the same work don’t I would actively try to make sure they don’t use these guys.

We called Building Sciences to air seal and insulate our attic, as our 1950’s home had always been a bit drafty upstairs and we wanted to find a way to lower our energy bills.
We were able to replace our old furnace and air conditioner with new, high-​efficieny models and get insulation in our attic and in the floor over our garage. We were also able to get a large rebate from the state that paid for almost half of the job! The work on our home took 2 days. When the crew arrived they were knowledgable and did a wonderful job explaining exactly what they were doing and why in regards to the insulation.
Our home is noticeably more comfortable, and we would definitely recommend Building Sciences to others

We recently employed Building Sciences to replace our heating cooling and water heater. I have to say the whole process was excellent from beginning to the end. Mike was our estimator and explained everything to us. He was able to get us to qualify for the states $ 5,000 rebate and we got a 10-​year 0% interest loan.
We also has insulation put a n the attic and in the old part of our house.
We would highly recommend Building Sciences for any heating/​cooling or insulation work.
