This hiking trail starts on the East? side of Death Valley High School, clearly marked with white poles on hold Highway 127(not the current 127) .That goes up into a rocky wash and further into the badlands. The hike is about 3 miles round trip, and goes through some very beautiful and scenic areas with a panorama view of the Amargosa desert one way and the Black? Funeral? mountains the other way. The last ½ of the hike goes back down a wash, heading back towards Highway 127 passing the Dublin Gulch caves and beside the Shoshone Cemetery. Both are not only beautiful and historic, but very picturesque. Thank you to the Amargosa Conservancy for making these hikes possible and if you are in the area, this hike is a must. You will love it and bring a camera, water, wear boots and sunscreen!
