Kind of ordinary fare. Salad bar is not much to write home about! I ordered prime rib which was okay. It really had no flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and atmosphere is inviting.

I was visiting Showlow for the day, and was referred to this restaurant for dinner. I am disabled with PTSD and have a service dog that alerts when a problem arises. I try to keep him under the table when in a restaurant, out of courtesy. But his job is to monitor and alert, and he will at times sit on the floor next to me to maintain eye contact. It is not in violation of ADA laws for him to do so. As my dinner was brought to the table, another worker approached rudely and said that I need to keep him under the table, or be muzzled if next to me. I informed the person that her demands were against ADA laws and that my service dog was in my control and not a threat to anybody. To add; my service dog is well mannered and not a threatening dog. Never the less, the food was removed, and I was told to leave the restaurant, which I did promptly. Obviously I have no sense of the quality of the food. But the discrimination was glaring! I will never again enter this restaurant, and suggest those with disabilities go else where.

This place SUCKED. The special lunch was a «New Yorker» It actually was a Ruben. The special came with«Cole slaw» on the sandwich instead of sauerkraut. I asked«can I switch the Cole slaw for sauerkraut. Oh no she said. That’s not the special. Have to charge you $ 1 more. Ahh ok. My 10 year old granddaughter wanted soup and salad bar from the children’s menu. I asked what kind of soup Is it. Tomato rice. Veronica doesn’t like that don’t know many kids who like that. So I said forget the soup she just do the salad part. Oh the waitress said instead of $ 3.50 for the soup and salad, they now would charge us $ 5.99AND she can’t go up more than once. Makes NO sense at all. Finally after getting the person in charge she lowered it to $ 3.29. She said if my manager was here she would charge you $ 5.99. The food sucked my husband was supposed to get a salad too never got it. I’ll NEVER go back. Y

Very pleasant atmosphere. The folks are incredibly hospitable. Sirloin was excellent. The staff worked together, so much that it felt like you had 4 – 5 servers. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was going well.

Great service! The whole staff seemed to work together very well to take care of all the customers. Our Filet Mignon was great. Their selection of «Winter Warmers» drinks were delicious treats and a great idea for the cool night temperatures here in Show Low.

If you go here, order the prime rib. It is what makes this restaurant great. DON’T order the calamari. It has no right calling itself calamari. They are fish sticks with a different texture. I left them where they lay sadly in their little bowl because they were being too uppity and pretending to be something they were not. But the prime rib is good. It is cow, being cow. No false pretenses.

My bf and I chose this place for our farewell dinner, we’re heading back into Glendale/Peoria Az tomorrow. We were extremely impressed with the entire staff there. They worked together as a family. as one cohesive unit. Our waitress, Nicole, was such an absolute charm and delight. The waiter that brought us our food. pretty much created a presentation of our food. The manager and the owner were very easy to talk to. I can’t give you guys enough kudos. The whole staff rocks. My bf ordered shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. the shrimp were definitely jumbo sized and elegant. He also ordered an 8 oz NY stirp with king crap legs for his main entrée. That combo wasn’t on the menu but they were happy to oblige with the request. I ordered fried green beans for my appetizer and they were lightly coated and were very good. My main entrée was fried cod with parmesan fries and garlic mashed potatoes. The cod was perfectly golden fried and it was moist and flaky. We also ordered all 3 desserts. The cheesecake was the best out all 3 of them. The apple walnut pie came 2nd. The chocolate cake was ok. You guys need to open up a franchise in Phoenix, Peoria or Glendale AZ. Thank you for making our last night in Pinetop/Show Low a memorable one.

That was awesome — from baked brie with garlic to the wonderful croutons at the salad bar to the perfectly cooked and trimmed prime rib to a very good cheesecake. The worst part was the«average«garlic mashed potatoes — they weren’t bad, just nothing special — I’ll have the baked potato next time. A wonderful meal and excellent service. Almost got 5 stars — maybe I should have — my wife gave them 5, so we gave them a 4.5 which is perfect.

Its our 20 year dating anniversary so we counted on Unilocal to guide us to a good place on the mountain. Without disappointment this is a great place! Arrived for there Twilight Menu to get a lighter size meal because the salad and soup bar is included but atop of that so is the fresh warm bread. Appetizer was Brie with chopped garlic, yummy but when there are two people at our table they should have an even amount of baguettes, we got 5. Now we just finished our salads, tasty but I must say you have to try the croutons, they were to die for, HOMEMADE and I can tell you from experience because I normally dislike croutons. Well here we go with the prime rib dinners. Husband had the 12 oz and I had the 6oz. Amazing!!! Husbands was cooked to perfection and an inch thick, mine was very thin maybe a half inch thick and WOW. My loaded baked potato was very good and if you want bland garlic mashed get them but hubby will do baked next time. Yes we have had plenty of food but its our anniversary. We had cheese cake with chocolate & caramel drizzle with a tiny side of strawberries because I like them and hubby doesn’t. Could of done without the strawberries, this was amazing. I must say there wasn’t one bit of disappointment for this anniversary meal! Thank you Cattlemen’s!!! PS. Five stars are very hard to get with me.

OK someone reviewed that the Cattlemens has the best salad buffet. Well the last time I was here it was very good. So I came back this time. Horrible not fresh, beets and carrots were awful. I didn’t have soup or bread about two bites of salad Asked them to charge me for a side salad instead of the $ 9.99. Bartender said he would ask her? Came back and said she didn’t want to get in trouble and had to charge the full price. Go elsewhere

Restaurant was clean and service was great. Dinner was good. Prime rib dinner was reasonable in price and was delicious. The only downside was the hostess that did not have a sense of humor and could not understand that reservations were made, it took her awhile to grasp.

This restaurant is okay. The food was pretty unremarkable. The salad bar is limited. The chicken Caesar Apple wrap had potential but was just okay. I enjoyed the beef and bean soup. It was more like a stew in thickness and seasoned well. Probably a very dependable place to go but when there are lots of other choices, here would not be my first.

My boyfriend and I have been here twice. And there is a reason we have been back twice! It is good! The first time he had a steak and I had the Southwestern Burger. We started with the potato skins. The bread here is awesome! Be very careful, you can fill up on the bread! His meal came with a soup and salad bar. Its a small salad bar, but the toppings looked fresh. He says his steak was very good, and I really enjoyed my burger. It was very big, to the point I had leftovers after the bread and potato skins. The leftovers reheated well, by the way… The burger had a very good amount of spice, it was juicy, and overall great! The fries were good too! The second time we went, he had the prime rib and I had the Cattleman’s Burger. He can not say enough good things about the prime rib! He wants to go back soon and have the prime rib again! They have a good beer selection and they have a hard cider I like. Their tea is also good! Each time we have been, the service has been great! The waitresses have been friendly, attentive, and quick! The prices are good for the amount and quality of the food. We will certainly be going back soon!

Dined with the wife on a Saturday evening. In spite of the parking lot being almost full to capacity there were numerous tables available. By 6 pm most of the tables were full. Wait person was very prompt in acknowledging U.S. and brought our beverages promptly. All you can eat soup and salad bar included in cost of meal. Salad bar was fresh with a good selection of veggies and salad dressings. I had an 8 oz filet which was cooked to perfection and one of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had a sirloin which was also very lean, tender and cooked perfectly. Our wait person was very friendly and kept us satisfied. Wife reports that restroom was immaculate. The manager made the rounds of all the tables making sure everyone was satisfied. Place was very busy but they have an adequate number of wait persons and bus persons who promptly take your plates away. Highly recommend Cattlemens’s in Show Low AZ.
