Los Corrales

This is the 3^rd time going to the new location. And the 3^rd time getting terrible service and over cook food. I guess if from out of town it might be good food. There are other much better Mexican food restaurants on this mountain thank goodness.

this was the second time we went to los corrales in showlow. enjoyed it very much. fernando was our server and he was the best. will definitely return because of him. the food was fantastic.

Great service though they ran around so much I almost felt rushed. However when the food came things slowed down and we had a great dinner. Saturday night had a bit of a wait but that is a good sign. I had a pork chimmi with the cheese sauce … VERY good. I defiantly recommend this place.

Excellent food great service and great atmosphere super fun atmosphere! It’s almost like being in Mexico! Don’t go through town without stopping at this spot! Also check out the bar!

Great Mexican food with outstanding décor and service. You will not be disappointed.

We are terribly disappointed. We’ve been eating at this Los Corrales location since it opened. It was terrific food and great service all summer long. Then things started to go south. The food was not quite as good and the service from one waiter in particular was horrible. You would sit forever waiting for your check. If you wanted cheese dip or a refill on your drink you had to ask twice. Now the food is the pits too. The meal we had yesterday was no better than a frozen dinner! Cheese enchiladas had hardly any cheese. The beans were runny and tasteless and the sauce tasted like canned. I think this may very well be the last time we go there.

This restaurant needs to move into the 21^st Century and have at least some consideration for potential customers who might be vegetarian or health conscious. There’s no reason to fry their chips in pork lard, but they do and couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to eat them. Yuck!

My family and I went the second week they were open for dinner and the salsa tasted like ketchup I had to ask random staff for my food twice after everyone else at the table got theirs because my waiter forgot then was no where to be found. I know the place was slammed but between the bad service and bad food the decent margarita has not been enough to get back in the doors. Pinetop location is worth the extra drive.

*Most of the good reviews are for their atmosphere and margeritas… Décor was 5 star.
*Service– lacking & non existent at times. We showed up 2 hours before closing and felt we were treated as an imposition.
*Waiter– Had attitude.
*Food– bland with little taste.
*Menu– deceiving. I wanted what was on the menu, not filled with cheap extras not informed of… Waiter’s response «This is a Mexican restaurant». What kind of response is that? I’d like to point out I have been to Mexico as well as lived in Southern California, and Las Vegas where Mexican food is about as authentic as Mexico.
**Outcome — - Threw up in the parking lot. I have allergies to certain ingredient, and asked 3x if the ingredient was in the food I ordered. Was told 3x no, but it was…
*The ingredient/​spice I am allergic to is not typically used in many Mexican dishes at restaurants.

I have been to this Show Low location of Los Corrales a few times and have to give it 2 stars just for their margaritas only. Food is nothing special and the service is always poor. I’ll wait and make the drive to Pinetop.

We came here with my family while visiting from out of town. The service was wonderful. Staff was very attentive. Food was delicious. They have the best fresh corn tortillas I have ever tasted. The veggie fajitas were amazing. Not your standard fare. We will definitely be back!

We ate here at Los Corrales when we were going through Show Low AZ last week. We pulled in the parking lot and I asked a guy that was having his car towed if it was a good Mexican Restaurant and he said, «No it’s a great Mexican Restaurant», (He was correct).
The place was festive and clean. They were very quick at seating us and bringing us our drinks. We ordered and they said it would not take long. My wife’s order came out wrong as she ordered a shrimp dish but got chicken (camarnes ala crema /​pollo ala crema). They offered to exchange it but we did not want to eat at different times so she said she would just eat the chicken. It was very good and my chili relleno and enchilada were very good. The tortillas are house made and taste wonderful. Everything tasted fresh and had just the right spice. We will be coming back again if in the area, They also have a store up in Pine Top AZ their original. We will also try it when up there. Oh ya we ate here at lunch and the prices are about 40% less.

This place was awesome! We stopped here for lunch on our way to Greer on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to see they had a brunch buffet available. The food was amazing! We enjoyed every single item on the buffet — cheese enchiladas, bacon wrapped steak, fajitas, shredded pork, chile rellenos, churros, horchata… And the service was incredible! We asked for fresh tortillas and they were brought out quickly — and they were some of the best corn tortillas ever. The service was also excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and seemed to take pride in doing a good job. We will definitely come back.

We just left there and will never return. The waiter was rude and very hateful from the minute we went in. We odered our meal and it did not arrive as we ordered it. When we brought it to his attention, he turned into an ever bigger jerk. We just walked out without touching our food. Very big disappointment.

Awful restaurant. We visited this place for a quick lunch and the food was terrible. The service was fairly good although excessively solicitous but the food was gross. I am sorry that we went here.

Good chips/​salsa and margaritas! Chips were light, crispy and salty. Ordered the chili verde and colorado. Both were very good. My son had the supreme nachos and my daughter had the kid’s cheeseburger served on a buttered and grilled bun. She didn’t like the cheese (because it wasn’t American), but it was really good! Family oriented and customer service was excellent. Highly recommend!

The flavors of Guadalajara can be found in Show Low! Salsas that could rival any I’ve enjoyed in Las Vegas at 3 times the cost are worth dining here for alone! But wait… There’s more… Attentive staff assures you get what you ask for and happily offer suggestions.
I’d worried that the ghosts of paper chicken and egg fu young past would haunt me. Lively décor, music and the sight of tortillas being crafted by hand assured me after a couple deep breaths that change is good. No saki bring on the Tequilla!
I barely had room for my relleno after enjoying perfect pintos, a respectable tamale and a ground beef taco. Hubby loves a good Chimichanga and was glad we hadn’t settled for a sentimental coney for lunch at one of the haunts of my SLHS Cougar Days! Recommendations from friends gave me three Mexican Dining options while visiting my hometown which had Grown. Thanks SeanPennyC for your recommendation.

For only opened three weeks I must say this is the best Mexican restaurant in show low ! The place is beautiful and food is delicious!

We had the fajitas for two and an avacado salad. Every bite was delicious! The skinny margaritas ay yi yi muoy grande! Muoy delicioso! Excuse my Spanish but the ambiance of the restaurant puts you in a complete Mexican feel. Highly recommend!

For only being open three weeks, I can’t think of anything other than positives. The décor is festive filled with beautiful Mexican art. The food was yummy and my husbands steak was tender, flavorful and delicious! Good service, good food, good time!
