As far as brunch goes, this is THE place in Shreveport/Bossier to eat at! The house Bloody Mary’s are to die for. I love the mimosa’s and the adult coffees! So far, my favorite breakfasts include Smoked Benny(which is their spin on eggs benedict with smoked salmon, a poached egg, hollandaise and served with beautifully cooked potatoes) as well as the Shrimp n’ Grits. While it is a bit on the pricey side, I find that it is worth every penny. The staff is always pleasant, the food always great and the drinks refreshing(although, you do have to pay for refills on things like orange juice, which is a bummer. But, a small price to pay for everything else!) Be warned, there is usually a 30 minute wait every time we go, so don’t show up too starving!

All I have to say is yummmmm! Perfect place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Grab a Bloody Mary if your feeling adventurous! Can be fairly busy so make sure your not in a rush when you go but it is well worth the wait!

We were visiting from out of town and were craving some delicious creole inspired brunch. We were not disappointed! Everything was amazing from the food, drinks and staff. Thank you for such an awesome breakfast!

Party of 5, we waited about 40 minutes for our table. Luckily we were able to shop in the boutique next door, where my sister got an amazing deal on some shoes from a local designer. A bit of a wait for the apps, but Aaron C was friendly and attentive. We started the fried green tomatoes, excellent! Beignets were on the small, crusty side with a great marmalade. My sister had the city grits, which were excellent. The addition of a scrambled makes it a full breakfast. My husband and I had the steel cut oats. They were on the dry side, but topped with great fruit. We shared a side of turkey sausage. Aunt Carolyn had the crab stack with country potatoes. Yummy. Definitely recommend a stop here for breakfast. Now we’re headed to Dallas.

Recently, I have visited Shreveport,… tried to find some good brunch place that is not a fast food joint. OMG, I have never seen so many fast foods places in any town. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised, when I had my first breakfast here. «Broken Egg» initially looks like typical chain breakfast place sort of «Cracker Barrel» but don’t be fooled. It is much sophisticated than that. I really loved their signature Eggs Benedict(over six types), and omelets. The Floridian was exceptionally delicious! Also, I would like to point out their alcohol and coffee drinks, you can find it on «specialty coffee menu» Check out their Café Rouge and Café St. Charles. :) Another thing that caught my attention was plates and coffee mugs. I think the kitchen ware beauty makes you more hungrier. Overall, this place is very good!, watch out for crowds on weekends, a wait list could be an hour long.

Great place for different food, key word different. Few breakfast items are your typical American ingredients. This is not Cracker Barrel. The food was excellent. Our waitress was the best I have had in years. She made our dining experience awesome and fun. I love humor and she had plenty of it.

Great breakfast and brunch place recommended to us by the folks at the airport. The pancakes and omelettes were great. They had a flavor for everyone’s taste. It gets slightly busy so be prepared to wait for a little bit. All the food was seasoned well and served at the correct temperature. Absolutely no complaints. Will visit this place or another one in their chain as soon as I see another one.

I waited a bit after dining here last to let the trip sink in. Honestly 3.5 stars really needs to be an option. Essentially your looking at breakfast items that have been elevated, or in many cases, more costly ingredients added. This isn’t your $ 6.95 special for breakfast establishment, fully expect to leave paying for what you typically spend on a decent dinner. Wife and I made a brunch date and glad we did. Service was fine, atmosphere very open and comfortable. We ordered the beignets, I the crab cakes cavallo eggs benedict and my wife the lobster and brie omelet. The beignets are not your traditional ones, and are more doughnut hole sized versus full size. This is a neat concept, however what ends up happening is you get a ball of cooked crust and very little doughy pillow-like goodness on the inside. They are tasty in their own right, but would prefer the be called something else(call me picky). My wife said the omelet ranked among some of the best shes had and my crab cakes cavallo, a very heavy breakfast entrée, was tasty as well. Eggs cooked beautifully. If any nit pick, the food while always tasty, is very inconsistent in preparation and presentation. Mine did not look like that which others have posted. Overall however, solid place per usual.

Loved this place! It was our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last! Couldn’t decide between the Bacquezo and the Hey Lucy omelettes so we got both. Both were delicious but the Bacquezo was definitely my favorite. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!

This place is the best! They offer a variety of foods! Although it’s only open a few hours a day. This place is always packed! At least a 30 minute wait. But, it is worth the wait!

Kicking off the engagement party for my best friend the whole wedding crew came here to dine! Good food and service, if only DC had places like this.

Great atmosphere and lovely food decorations. Two of my dishes tasted fine to me, just like average Eggs benedict and Crabcakes I used to eat. However, this place is not good for those who are starving as I waited about 25 mins or more for my Eggs Benedict and Crabcakes Cavallo.(Maybe they’re waiting for the chicken to lay the eggs, or they had to go to the ocean to get the crabs.) I wasn’t hungry much then I was okay. lol Our server was not that rude but I wanted to know who stole her smile!!! She looked sooooo #$%&+¥£¢@! *_* It wasn’t really busy at that time though you can see from my pic that the counter is still available.

My first time there and it was perfect! The atmosphere and décor immediately felt like a step above the others breakfast cafés in town. I ordered the Lobster & Brie omelet and my mother had the Bananas Foster Waffle. Mine was delightful! Beautiful presentation by friendly staff. The omelet and side English muffin were tasty, but I was particularly impressed with the hash browned potatoes. They really appealed to my slight OCD tendencies; uniformly, perfect squares, golden brown and crisp without overly crunchy and not soggy at all. Mom’s waffle was almost too pretty to eat, but even I tried a bite. Fluffy goodness that definitely satisfies a sweet tooth, without going too far. We now have a new favorite breakfast place and I’ll be taking my husband by soon!

Delicious breakfast spot. I love their shrimp and grits and I love the potatoes. I could eat them every time I go delicious. Wonderful and friendly service every time. I wish I had one in bossier because I would visit weekly.

Truly the best breakfast food and service I’ve received in a long time. Beautiful clean restaurant with nice cloth napkins. Everything is fresh and delicious! The breakfast potatoes aren’t greasy but nice and crispy! My omelette was fluffy and piping hot! My server made me an iced coffee even though it wasn’t on the menu. She was very sweet and made our existence that much better! 2 thumbs up!

This can be an expensive place for breakfast depending on what you get but my wife and I go there when we are feeling the need for a special morning. The negatives: I find their ‘fresh squeezed’ orange juice tastes good but is more like something poured from a ‘not from concentrate’ carton from the supermarket with a premium price placed on it. It is NOT fresh squeezed. Actually, I feel a couple orange juice brands taste better. My fresh-squeezed at home certainly tastes far better/end rant. I do not like the cubed potatoes that are served with most of their entrees but they do have a house sauce that makes them doable when liberally applied. They could be fresher. Overall they use quality ingredients in their food and they have many delicious menu items to choose from. The staff are generally friendly and fairly attentive but they do seem to be understaffed at times when at full capacity.

The food here is excellent; from sandwiches to omelets, I have never been disappointed. Service is a hit or miss and the early closing makes it a breakfast or lunch option. My only issues are that the meals are relatively pricey and the chorizo sausage is too mild to be a true chorizo served in many places. The mugs are kitchy and I wanted to buy one; until I was told they are $ 20: really? Overall a great option for a high quality small meal, but be prepared to spend about $ 20 per person with tax/tip.

Not your run of the mill breakfast place. First off the place used to be a Blockbuster so the layout is a just little funky but the remodel is very tastefully done. Sadly there aren’t many good breakfast places in the area at all, so this one blows everything else out of the water. They have unique omelettes with items like crab meat or lobster, several healthy options or guilty pleasures like cinnamon roll french toast. Everything was always spot on, we were regulars for the 3 years we lived there. Portions are not huge, you won’t over due it, but always enough to be satisfied.
